The girl frowned, looking up from the schoolbooks spread out in front of her as another rumble of thunder resounded through the common room. A big storm was brewing and after a flash of lightning illuminated the sky, she could see the treetops in the Forbidden Forest sway and rustle. All in all, Milena felt as though it were a beautiful night; she had a certain penchant for thunderstorms. A longing for home struck the Slytherin and she sighed, pushing herself away from the table at which she sat, stretching her limbs, casting another glance outside. The rain was coming down in sheets, hammering against the windows, but it wasn't a noise that had irritated her. Rather, it was one that had lulled her mind into a zone that had enabled her to get her work done; indeed, there was maybe a few more sentences she needed to add to her essay and it would be complete. Did such hard work not deserve a reward or, at the very least, a break? Milena certainly thought so, so a break is what she would take. There wasn't really a reward waiting for her, anyhow. Or maybe her reward was the break? Giving a nod to no one in particular, she wandered up to her dormitory to retrieve her jacket and a pair of shoes. Presently, Milena only had socks on and while she wasn't planning on actually stepping outside, she didn't want to wander the halls in her socks.

Pulling her denim jacket from the folds of her mess of clothes at the foot of her bed, Milena slipped it on over her shirt. Her shirt was a mess of vibrant color, bright pinks and purples, neon yellows and blues streaked across it. It hung off of one shoulder and rested just at her hips, the fabric quite soft against her skin from being worn often. And rather than wear the jeans that had been on earlier, she was wearing sweatpants that fit her rather snugly. It was all intensely comfortable, in fact, everything about her screamed 'relaxed' tonight, for her straight hair was pulled back into a ponytail, too. For some reason that was inexplicable to her, Milena was in a rather good mood. Perhaps it had everything to do with the storm outside? She didn't really know and shrugged as she slipped her feet into white tennis shoes. She was all ready to go when she contemplated what to do with her schoolwork. It was late enough that most students would be in bed and there had only been a few stragglers in the common room. Odds were good that nothing would be touched. And, if something was, the girl could always find the culprit later and deal with them accordingly. With those thoughts resolved in her head, Milena waltzed right out of the common room and into the corridors as if she owned the place. What was one more detention to her? She wasn't going to slink around in the shadows like a criminal, let her be discovered. She would thank the poor fool that handed it to her and be on her merry way.

Tucking her hands into her pockets as she approached the great doors just outside the Great Hall that led in to and out of the castle, Milena came to a stop. If they were locked, she would need to be creative. If they were unlocked,as was so often the case, then there was little for her to worry about. She reached a hand out, grasping the handle and turning it, rather hoping that it would not simply refuse to budge but that the latch would click. A smile appeared on her face as it clicked, and she pulled the door open just enough so that she might slip through out to freedom. There was enough of an overhang from the castle so that one could stand near to the doors and stay out of the elements. That was currently where Milena stood, eyes adjusting to the pitch black darkness that surrounded her, broken by flashes of lightning. Being here now easily made her recall all the times she had sat in her windowsill, staring outside simply to watch the storm, back at home. The ache that had stirred earlier returned now, and she blew out another sigh. Every now and again that homesickness bug would strike, catching her unawares. And, usually, she was able to shake it off, but it was something about doing the same thing here and now that she had done at home, where it was obvious something was missing. Brushing a wayward strand of hair back from her eyes, Milena sat on the cool stone, back pressed against the castle, knees gathered to her chest. Despite the crashing noise around her and the howl of the wind that occasionally whipped at her figure, the Slytherin found herself at peace. There didn't have to be that calm before the storm, or the calm after the storm, for her to find that quiet place that she so seldom found. It fit her personality that she could only find it when she was in the thick of a storm, one that was loud and showed no signs of letting up anytime soon.

Sorry for my long post, I was just in the mood for a long post. No worries I don't usually post long like this.

Adam was having a great time. He had come out to find some inspiration to write about. Even though he no longer had a band to call his own he was still passionate about his music. He hadn't really found anything at first but then it started to storm. So he had taken refuge under a tree for a while and jotted down the starts of a song. Adam thought it sounded pretty good so far and he was getting one of his favorite jackets wet, so he decided to head in.

But before Adam got inside he saw a girl sitting just outside the door. He quickly hid back behind the corner and scoped her out. She didn't look like a prefect to him so he decided to show himself. It was late and he wondered what she was doing outside after curfew, not many kids wanted to get caught. She looked deep in though and again he wondered why she was here, then he realized he was human and capable communicating. "Hey there." He didn't want to scare he so he came into full view, "I'm Adam."

Totally fine hope mine's not to short :)

Milena was too busy thinking about some things, she needed some time away from it all. Most especially the last time she saw Dante, who was just a complete jerk. Still she tried to put aside her hate and just forget about the whole thing about. She thought no one would bother her at this time, after all it was past everyones bed time. Milena loved being alone from time to time, she was a loner after all. Leaning her head to the table as one arm was supporting it, she gave a big sigh as she noticed the creaking out. It could be another strict Professor or maybe a prefect just wanting to get someone in trouble, even though she was a Slytherin she never wanted to be get caught.

That very time was different, she didn't cared at all. Without even looking she just said a few words to the stranger. "Hey..." was all she could say in response. Milena was surprised to hear that it was a boy, from the sound of his name he wasn't prefect or anything near to it. Turning her head near her shoulder as sh started to glance back at the boy. "I'm Milena.." she answered him knowing ti was the right thing to do. Milena still had her very same accent, French to be exact.

It's fine :)

Adam smiled as the girl introduced herself. She wasn't a prefect or spoilsport, but he didn't expect that she was in the first place. Her accent was very french. He wondered where she was from. He had went to France before on tour with the band. It was a nice place with good food, and from what Adam knew that was where Atticus, Alfie and Odette were. Adam got letters from them every now and then, well mainly from Alfie but he figured that was because Alfie just liked owling in general being a squib.

Adam focused his attention back to the girl, Milena. "So Milena, if it's not to personal can I ask what your doing out here?" Adam knew she could ask him the same thing and it wouldn't have bothered him so he figured it was something safe to ask. He was just getting used to talking to people again. Shaylah was helping him but he had gotten so used to being alone it was hard.

A little conversation wouldn't hurt, after all Milena needed some friends. She anted to prove to the whole school that she wasn't that of a bad person. Even though she was the Co-leader of Dark Elites, she never wished to harm anyone at all. For all she wanted was some friends to be with, she needed to come out of her shell. Even though the weather was bad, she was still in the mood. Milena turned to the boy and smiled hoping she wasn't that awkward and all.

"I just can't sleep, Insomnia.. I guess." Milena replied as she shrugged. Lately, she had some problems sleeping. It took her a week to realize that she had insomnia, though it wasn't that obvious as she still effervescent as ever. Milena was beautiful just like her mother, as of a photocopy of her. Though she always wondered what her father looked like, was he blonde like him of did he had dark hair? Milena's mother never really opened up about her father, hopefully this coming vacation she'll be able to find out the truth. She then turned to Adam, "And what is your reason?" she asked him.

Adam nodded at her answer. He knew lots of people suffered from insomnia, when he was in the band his sleep schedule had gotten pretty messed up at times. He was pretty much back to normal now that he was in school though. "Just looking for some inspiration." He kept it kind of vague, not many people here knew who he was. Not that he had gotten that famous but he had his moment and he really didn't want people to know and go crazy about him or something. He still wrote songs in public, but he was just that kid who wrote songs to people here, not Adam Simons lead singer and guitarist of Crest.

Staring blankly at the wooden tables was all Milena could do, she wasn't that interesting to some people after all. Though they were all wrong, she was quite friendly for a Slytherin, she wanted peace and unity. This made her different, at the same time some students starts to wonder, why was Milena sorted in Slytherin. Maybe it was in her blood or other than that it was purely destiny, she couldn't blame her self after all. "Sounds relevant." she replied plainly, without even looking the boy. It was very hard for her to start a conversation at times, which others think of her as dull. She then glanced once more to the boy and smiled, after that Milena returned her head and began to stair at the table once more.

Adam was getting mixed feelings from the girl, she seemed to have things on her mind. It didn't bother him though he thought of how secluded he had been from everyone for so long. "Yeah but it seems like the best inspiration just hits you." He was thinking about most of the songs he had written most were emotions or spur of the moment events, like this nights thunderstorm. He wondered if she knew what he meant, but she would have to be some sort of artist to understand. "Does that make any sense?" He laughed a little.

There was something wrong with her that made her right. Milena looked at the boy when he heard his words. "Yeah, very much." she relied to him. Recently Milena's head seems to be empty, she wasn't that inspired at all. Writing poems and now even songs was her passion, but now there was just nothing at all. She hated the fact that her head seems to be messed up this days. The only thing that kept her alive at the moment , other than her family was her new guitar. Yes, finally after years of gift less birthdays. Her mother and grandma decided to buy her a new electric guitar. Sure she had an acoustic one, but she felt she needed an electric one too. She wasn't sure what it looked like, hopefully her mother would send her an owl post or a picture, anything.

Adam nodded, he wasn't sure what it was but there was something going on underneath the surface of this girl. He wasn't going to pry, he hardly new the girl but he did wonder. He knew there were a lot of sad story's at Hogwarts but he hoped she wasn't one of them. Ever since he had come here he had realized how insignificant his problems were. Sure his immediate family hated him, but at least he still had them, and he had had a bad relationship at one point, hasn't everyone? It just made him upset how some of the kids here's home life was. "Do you work with the arts, I'm a guitarist." He kept it vague, but he had a feeling she did and had asked hoping for a spark in the conversation.

It was soon to be morning and still she was eager than ever. She never hated insomia nor she did liked it. It always made her feel wrong yet so right at the same time. Just like any other teenagers, Milena was out of her mind. Shew tried to continue the conversation knowing she wasn't good talking with his fellow schoolmates. "I live and breath art, I also play the guitar." she told him with a little smirk on her face. It was the only thing she loves next to her family, arts and music. It made her so surreal at time, the feeling of drifting off ones body and just feeling the vibes of each tone.
