Seamus had had a boring break, he liked spending time with his brother, sleeping in the same room as him and always being able to see him but that was the only thing that he liked about it, the rest was boring. He didn't like having to be at home, there was nothing there for him and he didn't like having to speak to his parents who were just very wrapped up in themselves. So he was glad when the semester started back up. He wasn't going to do anything more, try harder or anything like that but he was going to be able to always have things to do and people to see. The price was seeing Hamish every moment of every day and that wasn't too bad when he could see him most of the time. Seamus had come outside, the sun was shining, and there were plenty of people milling about. He'd brought a football and was doing some quick dribbling, just enjoying the movement and the fresh air. His original plan for the day had been to go out to the quidditch pitch with the football and use that as a fake bludger, practicing his swing, but he hadn't gotten to the pitch and with him just having fun with it alone here and now he didn't think he would get to the pitch.

Evie had been a little bit of a nervous wreck throughout the break, just hoping that she had enough in her to finally make the Quidditch Team this year. She had let it ruin her year last year, and she didn't want a repeat of that again. The girl had spent far too much time inside during the break just worrying about what was going to happen, and so now that she was back at Hogwarts, she needed to loosen up a little bit and venture outside. The girl tried putting on a happy face as she let the wind blow through her hair. She wanted to make her way to the lake and see if she could spot any creatures in the water. But as she was walking through the Great Lawn, she spotted a boy in her year playing with a ball. It wasn't for Quidditch and Evie recognised it as a ball they would use for muggle sports. She approached him, hoping to join in. "Hey, where'd you get that ball from? Can I play?" she asked.

Seamus had been playing himself for a little moment when he was joined by someone. He recognised them, a little, though he couldn't be sure what from. "Brought it from home," he said, his voice a little on edge, as if asking if that was wrong, but in a sense of he wasn't going to change anything at this point. "Sure," he then said, he was always happy to play with someone else. He kicked the ball over to her and waited to see what she would do.

Evie thought it was cool that the Slytherin had balls like that at his home. It was good to try and change things up a little. "Are you a muggle-born?" she asked conversationally, figuring that could be why. She knew these balls were very popular amongst them. As he kicked the ball towards her, she swung her leg back and kicked it back in his direction with her toe. It was a little painful, but Evie just giggled. She watched as the ball didn't quite make its way to him though and began rolling past him. "Oops, sorry!" Evie said as she realised her aim wasn't very good. "Could you teach me how to kick it properly?"

Seamus frowned, "No," he seemed almost offended by the statement, but really he didn't mind, "I went to muggle school for a bit," he added as if to explain it and explain perhaps a little that he was bothered by muggles. He watched her kick the ball back to him and frowned. "You should avoid kicking it with your toe, you should kick it with the inside of your foot," he motioned to it, just as she then asked to be taught. He nodded, "Yeah, so inside of your foot," he grabbed the ball and placed it down in front of him. He took a little step back and very slowly went over the motions, kicking with the side of his foot gently towards her. "Like that, not too much power,"
