Slate decided to hang around the entrance hall when he heard that fourth-year Gryffindors were heading inside from their Herbology class. After asking several students if they were Salem Lee, one finally pointed him to the right person. He approached the boy, "Hello. Salem Lee? I'm here to deliver a rose.", he said, holding up a yellow rose for him to see.

It was so hard to focus on classes in the middle of Valentine's day. Salem had nearly walked down the wrong staircase twice already cause she was busy looking for any of her potential deliveries rather than where she was going. She nearly ran into her classmate instead when someone said her name, coming to a sudden stop as she looked for who'd spoke, smiling when spotted a young-looking student. "Oh yay, hi, that's me."

Slate smiled, "A rose and a note for you." He handed the rose and the note to her.
