Hannah Aurelious was a kind and gentle mother. If not alittle crazy. Having been unable to have kids of her own, she and Vincent had jumped at the chance of being able to adopt a set of twins. Fayt and Gabrylle. She had been their adoptive mother for a few years now and everyday was a blessing for her. She loved them like they were her very own children. Even though sometimes she was alittle over protective when it came to their socialising, and always liked to know what they were doing. She often went so far as to snoop on them. Vincent kept telling her not to do such things, but she couldn't help herself. It was just her way of saying she loved the twins. Gabrylle was hard to work with. She relyed heavily on her twin Fayt. Hannah could tell that it made Fayt uncomforable and annoyed to have his sister cling to him like she did, and so Hannah did all she could to drive Gabrylle's attention away from him. She was too co-dependant really.

Presently Hannah was in the kitchen making lunch for her family. It was something she did and always had enjoyed doing. Until she had met Fayt and Gabrylle she had lived in fear of never having children. So naturally, she spoiled them whenever she could. She was just glad that they loved her back. Or atleast, she hoped they did. "Everybody, Lunch is ready!" She called as she finished the salad.

Vincent Aurelious was a hard working man. He tried to keep his family well off and still have a little money in the bank if they ever needed it. That being said Vincent also took the time to spend time with his family and make sure none of them got into trouble, most of the time it centred around his wife and her constant over-protectiveness. Hannah could be slightly over-protective and had to know what their adoptive children were doing. Vincent and Hannah had not been able to have children, though Vincent had and will always want his own children. He was completely happy to have his two adopted twins. They kept him on his toes and gave him a reason to work harder.

Vincent was currently cleaning, something he often did. If he was not working, or spending time with his family he was cleaning his house. You could say that Vincent was a perfectionist. Everything has a place and everything must be in its place. That was the way Vincent lived. However when his wife called in the family in for lunch Vincent placed the books back in their place, turned off the vacuum cleaner and walked into the kitchen, giving his wife a kiss on the forehead. “Good afternoon.” He said looking at the salad. Vincent was not a fan of his wives salad, but he never said anything.

<COLOR color="#000">Fayt is what you call an enigmatic kid. He appears emotionless and may appear cruel sometimes. He has a sister complex too if one might say. He's too focused on taking care of his twins though sometimes he get annoyed too at her being too dependable on him.

Fayt cannot still believe that he had a someone whom he can call a family already. A few years ago, a kind couple had opted to adopt them. Fayt didn't really care at all, but knowing his sister, he feels that it was the best thing that had happened to her. Taking a deep breath, he remembers all his fears when he had first met Hannah and Vincent. He know that they do not have a child of their own, and Fayt fears that it was the reason that they adopted them. He fears that once they had their own child already, He and his twin would be homeless again.

Still lying on his bed, Fayt argues with himself whether he should go down or just stay on the room. However, when he heard his "mother"'s voice calling them for lunch, he chose the former. Unenthusiastically, he went down. Looking whether his sister is there already or not.

"Good afternoon Hannah....mom, and dad" Fayt greeted, trying to appear cheerful, he wasn't still used in calling Hannah and Vincent his mom and dad despite how long they are together. He keeps reminding himself but sometimes, he still forgets.

Gabrylle is someone who is pretty much very unpredictable. Her moods changes a lot and even her personality does. However, the only thing that is constant for her is her attachment to her brother as well as her love for her new family. She deeply cares for them that she always tries to bring smiles to their faces.

Today was just an ordinary day. She was just in front of their house, watching the skies despite of the heat of the afternoon. She loves outdoors, she can meet friends, and she can think whatever she wants to think.

Humming a soft song, she wonders when they are going to eat, she's quite hungry after all. Gabrylle likes the foods that Hannah cooks no matter how it tastes, she loves it so much. For her, Hannah is like her real biological mother.

Playing with the hem of her dress, she heard their mother called, smiling brightly, Gabrylle quickly stood up and entered the Aurelious household.

"Great mom! I'm quite hungry actually!" Gabrylle said with much enthusiasm as she headed to the dining room and gave a kiss to her mom."Hi brother, took you long enough to go down." She added as she turned her attention to her twin. "Do you need help in cleaning later dad?" Gabrylle then asked her dad, she wants to help in anyway that she can, that way, she'll be able to make her parents and her brother proud.

Hanna smiled as her husband of many years entered the kitchen. They had been married for over ten years and knew eachother like they knew them selves. In saying this, Hannah also knew of Vincent's dislike of her salad. Which, in nine out of ten cases was why she made it. Though this time she made it because it was the easiest thing to make and they were all hungry. She smiled as he kissed her and dished out his rather large helping of the food. As she started dishing out the rest she heard Fayt coming down from his room. Both Vincent and herself knew that Fayt still found it hard to accept the adoption. Often calling them Hannah and Vincent, instead of mum and dad. Which they were fine with. They wanted him to feel comfortable in their home, and not like an outsider. "Good afternoon Fayt dear, I hope you are hungry" She said casually as she handed him his share of the food and some bread sticks to go with it.

Smiling as she turned around, she came into the sight of Gabrylle. She seemed to have settled in rather well, which made Hannah and Vincent very proud. hey loved both the children equally and though they would always want children of their own, they would never trade Fayt and Gabrylle up for anything. It would cause all involved far to much pain. She smiled down at Gabrylle after recieveing a kiss from her and handed her her food. "Good evening Gabrylle, I'm glad you are hungry" She said as she pushed the young girl over to the table. "Once you finish your food, I have a surprise for you" She said as she sat at the table with them.

Hannah didn't often make dessert as she didn't like eating after or between meals. But today she had felt especially generous and so had made an icecream cake for them all to share.

<COLOR color="#000">Fayt sat down casually at his usual place in the table, waiting for his sister to come. As Hannah handed him his share of the food, he muttered a soft thanks before started to eat. "Thank you..." He said, not looking up from the food that he is currently looking at. Today, Hannah had prepared Salad, and from Fayt's knowledge, he thinks that it was because Hannah is in a hurry to make some food. It was quite past the allocated time for eating after all.

A small smile appeared on his face when he saw his sister entered the house. He knows that the girl is probably looking around the are, she loves outdoor after all, she loves making new friends, that was something that the two of them is thoroughly different in. He noticed that Gabrylle had quite been comfortable with their new arrangement, she's the one who likes to have a family among between the two of them. "I prefer to stay inside than to mingle with others, so it's my choice whether I should go down or not, you yourself should know how to settle in one place as well." Fayt said firmly, as if reprimanding his sister for being too childish.

He raised an eyebrow when Hannah said the she had a surprised for them Fayt never really like surprises but if it's Hannah, then the surprised is truly a surprise. It is probably something that they would not expect. She's quite spontaneous for Fayt.. " I do hope that that surprise is good.." He muttered quite inaudible so that the others won't hear him. Slowly, he took a bite on his bread sticks and listened to the others talk.

Vincent smiled when his son walked in. He was not his biological son but he thought of him as one, same with his daughter Gabrylle. “Afternoon Fayt.” He said with a smile. Vincent understood that sometimes Fayt forgot the words ‘mum and dad’ It was to be expected, they weren’t really their parents and they could never replace the twins real parents. And they never wanted to; they just wanted their kids to be happy and healthy. To grow up strong and intelligent adults. Vincent smiled again as Gabrylle came in, chipper as always. Vincent sat down with his lunch. Noting that he did not get bread sticks...

“No it is OK, I dont need help.” He said with a smile. Vincent preferred cleaning by himself, so he knew exactly where everything was. Besides he didn’t want to burden his kids with cleaning a spotless house. Vincent was curious as to what the surprise was, but continued eating the salad he did not like. So he would not hurt his wives feelings.

Gabrylle pouted when her twin scolded her, she's quite used to it but still, she wants to play with her twin somehow. "Oh, don't be such a wet blanket Fayt! It's enjoyable outside, come on show me that smile!" She said, her smile never leaving her face. She wants to see him smile genuinely once more, not those that he often shows them, she wants her brother to smile for real.

"Are you sure dad? I'm not going to break anything I promise" She then said when their father had refused to her offer. As she said that, she made a gesture of touching her chest the one which is near her heart as if to say that she is telling the truth.

As she heard the word surprise from their mother, Gabrylle's smile widen. She loves surprises after all and well, she know that it can make his twin smile as well. "Yay mom! Surprises? that's great!" She said enthusiastically, finishing her food so that she'll get to see the said surprise already"

Hannah smiled as she heard the enthusiasm, or lack thereof, for the surprise. She already knew that Vincent would be looking forward to it. She never used to make surprises, then when they adopted Fayt and Gabrylle, that had all changed. She now made them atleast once a month, depending on what the surprise was going to be. She was going to make them wait until everyone was finished however, as she didn’t believe it was right for one person to know the surprise while the others don’t. She looked at Fayt and nodded when he muttered something under his breath. She sighed and shook her head, she didn’t like muttering in her house, it made for bad manners and manners was something Hannah was strict on. “Fayt dear, Please do not mutter under your breath, you know how I feel about muttering” She told him slowly whilst still maintaining a smile. She did not yell, she never yelled at anyone, least of all her children.

She then looked at Vincent and winked at Gabrylle. “Vincent honey, why can’t Gabrylle help you? She wants to earn her pocket money is all, and there is never any work for her to do to earn it?” She said as she smiled. Gabrylle only wanted to help and here was Vincent denying her what she wanted most. She was a girl who thrived on the approval of others. So helping her father would allow her the benefit of such a gift. “Now don’t you tell me that you like cleaning, because I know that, but I still think that you should allow Gabrylle to help, and Fayt to if he would like” She said as she smiled at all of them. She really liked having all of her family together; it really made her feel happy and loved. Like she and they all belonged there. She wasn’t sure what she would do when they started school. Perhaps she would send them letters. A letter each. She wouldn’t send one letter for the both of them as that is stupid. What if she had a question to asked to a specific child? Then the other would know the question and what would be the point in that?

She then smiled at Gabrylle as she got excited about the surprise. “Yes I know you do, and you are just going to have to wait until Fayt and Vincent finish before I will show it to you” She told the young girl patting her on the shoulder as she did so. She then stood up and took Gabrylle’s finished plate to the sink and began to wash up as she waited for the others to finish what they were eating. After they had done so, she washed up their plates before calling Vincent over to help her with the surprise. “I made an Ice-cream cake” She whispered in his ear as she moved to the freezer. “Took me forever but I got it done” She said laughing as she pulled it out and proceeded to cut it into even pieces allowing for there to be plenty for the four of them. She then carried it over to the table, with the help of Vincent and smiled at them all. “I have made an Ice-cream cake for dessert” She announced as she placed it in the centre. “You two are free to eat as much as you like” She said as she sat back in her chair and placed a small piece on her plate. "Yes Vincent you are free to pig out aswell if you wish" She laughed. Hannah never really had eaten much, a trait that had stayed with her, her whole life.

Vincent laughed slightly, they were ganging up on him. “Fine then you can all help.” He said looking at Hannah. “Including you.” He added through bites of the terrible salad. Vincent knew his wife was not the one to clean, in fact she would try her best to get out of it any way she could, but this time Vincent would make sure she had no excuses. “You can sort the trash, while the rest of us dry and stack the dishes.” He said with a smirk. Sorting the rubbish was pretty nasty at times, besides it was not like he would give such a horrible job to his children. That would be very mean and unfair.

Vincent smiled when he had finally finished his salad. Hannah had no idea that he did not like the salad, which was why she probably made it so much, it was easy and she thought that everyone liked it. Vincent came when his wife called him to her, he was slightly curious of the surprise. Hannah never used to make surprises this often, Vincent was sure it was because they now hard children. Vincent did not want them to go but knew it would probably be for the best. Maybe Gabrylle would become more independent while Fayt became more dependant. When he found out the surprise was ice-cream cake he smiled. He loved Ice-cream cake, if it was done right. Vincent laughed slightly when he was told he was allowed to indulg but it faultered when he saw the amount. He knew his wife was not a big eater, it did not mean he accepted it. So like the husband he was he put more on his wives plate, telling her to eat more. If she did not eat a desent amount how could they expect their kids to?

Fayt nodded to show that he understood Hannah's statement about muttering. He knew that Hannah doesn't like such thing and he often tells himself to stop doing that, but bad habit are hard to erase isn't it? He cannot help but still do it sometimes. "Yes mom, forgive me for forgetting that.." He said in a low tone, still eating his salad. Fayt, just like his "father" doesn't really like the salad that Hannah makes, but he can't say it can he? How can he say such a thing to those who had done them good. Finishing his food, Fayt smled a little as Vincent told that they can help him in cleaning. Fayt disliked doing chores but since he got nothing to do, cleaning might be a good way to kill his boredom, and besides, by doing so, he knows that Gabrylle would be really happy, she likes to see them work as a family.

"I'll help too...probably" He said softly, as he took a glass of water to drink. Fayt was kind of curious when Hannah called Vincent, he knows that it must be about the surprise, he really hoped that it would not be something ridiculous at all. With a sigh, he looked at his sister. "Are you satisfied now? Happy?" He asked softly, he wants to always make sure that his twin is never sad, he's overprotective of her after all.

Raising an eyebrow when Hannah came back and announced that the surprise is an ice-cream cake, Fayt tried to look enthusiastic. He knows that Hannah might have don her best to do such thing for them, he does appreciate her effort. "This is...great mom.." He said, taking a small piece and putting it at his place. He suppressed a smirk when he saw Vincent add some more ice cream cake to Hannah's plate, he knows that Hannah is not a big eater after all, and since Vincent is a good husband, he would do anything to make his wife change that. "Eat some more mom, you're the one who made that after all" He said with a slightly amused tone as he began to eat his part of the dessert.
