Isaiah had decided that he was going to the Halloween feast on a whim, he had put together a costume a week before the event itself, but he had actually decided he would go the night before. Part of his costume was dying his hair a pale blonde colour and using the old muggle phone he'd had his father send him, it obviously didn't work, but it was pretty fun to carry about. He smiled happily to himself as he wandered into the great hall, with his phone in hand, and an overly fake american accent like he'd seen on the TV growing up. He was smiling happily, walking over to the sweets table and putting a couple of chocolates in his mouth before moving on to just glance around the room. He wasn't sure that most people would understand his costume and as he wandered around a much darker see of people, and here he stood in what were mostly pastel colours.

The teen glanced around looking at the different costumes, he didn't have many friends but was hoping to be able to spot at least anyone that he knew, this was proving a little difficult given the fact that everyone appeared to be in costumes, and he couldn't really spot who anyone is. So instead of lurking around the place he went to drinks table and got himself a drink, and then noticed a girl sitting around on her own, he decided to go talk to her, since he had nothing else to do. The boy was grinning to himself as he walked over to her, "Hi," he said brightly, using the overly fake accent he had practiced for this costume specifically, hoping that she wouldn't mind him coming over to say hi.

Olivia hadn't bothered with the Halloween feast in her first year so she was determined to attend in her second and actually have some attempt at a social life. She had decided on her costume pretty early, she would keep it simple and go dressed as an 80s girl. When she was finished dressing for the evening she took a look at herself, she looked like a background dance from Flashdance. She smiled knowing that very few people would even pick up on such a comparison at Hogwarts and she took comfort in that. Somehow, she had managed to get her hair to look like she'd stuck her finger in an electric socket.

She walked into the Great hall but wasn't quite sure what to look for, she hadn't been the most social person during her time at Hogwarts so her amount of friends were not exactly at a premium. Olivia decided to grab a glass of pumpkin juice and went to sit over in the corner of the hall. She wasn't sat there long before a boy came over and said hi to her. Olivia looked up at him, he looked older and there was a hint of recognition about him. His costume amused her, he seemed to be dressed up as a stereotypical 80s guy. "Hey, nice costume, we appear to match," She said smiling at him.

It was the moment that she sort of glanced at him that he realised her costume was not far from his own. He grinned happily at her it did appear as though they matched although Isaiah had obviously not planned it this way, he just smiled happy at the girl nodding in agreement over this happy turn of events, "We do appear to," he told her, taking a small sip of his drink and then placing it down on the table closest to him, he wiped his hand and held it out to her, "I'm Isaiah," he introduced continuing on his terrible accent that he was trying to achieve, and then laughing slightly at the terribleness of his accent that he was trying to achieve, he still had the huge muggle telephone in his hand and then placed it within the pocket of his slacks, "You want to dance? I learned some eighties dance moves which I think might be quite fun," he suggest with his hand still out to her and a hopeful grin on his face. He really had learned some dance moves he wasn't very good at any of it yet but he was hoping they might still be able to have some fun. Which was what Halloween was all about and at least if he was dancing with another 80s person it would look a little strange.

Between practicing quidditch and helping Orwell organize the Forbidden Forest protest, Archie had little time to get excited for Halloween this year. He was usually overcome with excitement over candy in the bucket loads and seeing his friends dress up when September became October, eagerly anticipating the Halloween feast he had grown to love in the years he had spent in Hogwarts. Though this year had been different and Halloween had entirely left his mind, causing the feast to creep up on him. When he realized the feast was due to happen, it was already happening and there was nothing Archie could do to even prepare a last minute, half effort of a costume. So the Gryffindor merely shrugged, and bid Orwell adieu before wandering down to the great hall with a feeling of curiosity to how similar or different the feast would be this year and a promise to bring candy with him when he returned for more protest planning.

He strolled into the hall and immediately made his way towards where the candy was kept, grabbing handful after handful of his favourite kinds and trying to fill his pockets to the brim so the effort he had made to remove himself from helping his friend wouldn't be in vain. The sickly smell of the candy was all too tempting and he could hardly help himself from collecting more. So when his pockets were full, he pulled his beanie off his head and filled it with more candy, managing to pick up a lollipop from a bowl on the table, putting it in his mouth in the process and in his impatience to taste something sweet. He turned from the table with his beanie half full of candy and scanned the room for the familiar face of one of his friends, only spotting Isaiah who was less a friend and more of an unexpected acquaintance made after Gryffindor's last quidditch game. But Archie figured he may as well talk to someone while he was here or at least while he slowly made his escape from the feast. "Hey Isaiah." Archie greeted as he approached the boy, using one of his hands to hold his candy stuffed beanie and the other to hold the end of his lollipop. He twirled the stick around, moving the candy in his mouth as he stared Isaiah down. The Ravenclaw looked different as a blonde though Archie had no place commenting on the other boy's costume when he wasn't wearing one himself. He was too focused on seeing Isaiah with a different hair colour to notice the girl he had been talking to.

Isaiah had been about to lead this eighties girl out on to the dance floor when he was interrupted by the sight of Archie making his way over to them and greeting them. This was really only one of the few times that he had met the Gryffindor keeper and he wasn't really sure how he felt about him, he felt his cheeks blush slightly as he glanced the boy once over, no costume, but he was wearing muggle clothes, he noticed the beanie was apparently filled with some sweets. Isaiah glanced back up at him, and just smiled a little, noting the lollipop that Archie was chewing on and just shook his head slightly, he wasn't sure why he was suddenly feeling ever so slightly flustered.

Isaiah cleared his throat slightly in an attempt to become less flustered, "Hey Archie," he replied wiping his sleeve on his forehead and running his hand through his unnaturally blonde hair. He looked between Archie and then the girl trying to figure out what to do with this situation, and the teen had never been forced to be in this situation before. He then looked back at Archie and nodded, "Whose the candy for?" he motioned to the bag that the other teen was holding, and was just trying to shift the conversation so that he wasn't just staring at the other boy. Isaiah had no idea what was happening, he had never felt these feelings before and certainly not towards the same sex, but he was flustered and he wasn't even sure who to focus on.
