A very pale and exhausted looking Teddy had just gotten out of his twelfth and final OWL exam, his brain felt like soup after that. He thought he’d done well in most of them except Potions which had been the last exam where something strange happened. He’d walked in, opened the paper, and promptly forgotten everything he’d ever known about Potions. He didn’t just blank it was more that everything in his brain vanished. Nothing like that had ever happened to him before and he didn't know what to make of it. He was supposed to be celebrating the end of exams but his brain was stuck on the idea that his entire future could be ruined if he failed Potions.

He'd gone outside for air and was soon pacing the courtyard with his arms crossed tightly over his chest. He felt sick as he considered if he'd just ruined his entire future. He was wondering if he might cry, die, or worst of all throw up. Possibly all three, a hat trick if you like. His second hat trick of the year after winning the dueling tournament. Anyway, forget that, it's not the right time. Teddy had actual problems right now.

Coming out of the final exam, Marley was grateful that is was finally over. She was absolutely exhausted from it all and she was happy it was all over. If Marley was being honest, she thought she did decent, though there were a few subjects Marley knew she hadn’t done the greatest on and she knew she had to try a bit harder on next time, potions being absolutely one of them. But for now, all Marley could think about was a good and decent sleep.

Walking out of the exam, Marley was relieved but honestly exhausted and was ready to sleep. She had noticed Teddy pacing around, and the Hufflepuff remembered earlier how Teddy looked when taking the exam and he hadn’t looked so good, which worried Marley if she was being honest. Marley decided to check up on him as she slowly made her way towards him. “Teddy? Are you alright?” Marley asked her friend in concern, though in the state he looked, that was probably a dumb question to ask.

(hope you don’t mind me joining in! hehe!)

Always welcome :D

Teddy really, really wanted his mum until he remembered his dad was a professor and probably much easier to find, or if he was busy then Teddy could just hide out in his office until he turns up. Teddy was about to go to his office when Marley approached, asking if he was alright. “Yeah,” he said automatically, then remembered it was Marley and he could trust her better than most. “Actually no, that's not true. I’m not alright.” He scrubbed a hand over his face and sighed before explaining, “I’ve definitely failed Potions. I revised so much Marley, but then I sat down, opened the paper, and couldn't remember anything." He said, "I can't fail Potions, my life is over if I fail Potions!"

Marley wasn't convinced at first when he said he was okay. The Hufflepuff knew her friend long enough to know when something was off, but she wasn't going to push it. However, she frowned in concern once more when Teddy had told her the truth about how he was feeling. "Oh... I see," Marley said in conclusion, once she got the gist of what was happening before stepping closer to her friend. Marley knew her friend was quite a smart guy, there was no lie about that. Marley shook her head as he then spoke about potions, placing a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder. "Teddy, I don't think you failed potions. You're like the smartest guy I know," Marley says, hoping to comfort her friend a little, even calm him down a little.

"I'm sorry you're feeling down about it, though. Not gonna lie, it was a tough exam anyway, I don't think I did well myself," Marley says truthfully with a small sigh, hoping that maybe it would somewhat help her friend. The exam itself had overwhelmed Marley if she was being honest. "Plus, I'm so sure you'll have a better shot at it next year, but I'm so honest and sure you haven't failed. It was pretty much our last exam too, and it's messed up our brains just a little," Marley says honestly with a small smile. She didn't like seeing her friends sad, and she was in fact, telling her friend the honest truth on how she felt.
