Gabrielle had to admit that suprising her best friend in New Zealand during the break had been one of her best ideas to date. Not only did it allow her to hang out with Kiara a lot, it also gave her the opportunity to finally see the country. To travel around a bit and see the sights, but also to have her friend show her typical spots every witch and wizard in New Zealand was used to visiting. There was nothing new she could show the girl whenever they met up in France but there was plenty for her to show Gaby now that she was here. And every time she realized here was the other side of the world she couldn't help but to think how crazy it all was. And how glad she was she had aced her apparition exam. Had she failed, she probably wouldn't be here right now.

The only thing Gaby knew she couldn't do while she was in the country was to hog all of her friend's time. Her visit had been a surprise after all and she didn't want the girl to cancel on other plans just because she was here. So today she had decided to head out on her own to one of the towns she had been told a lot of students visited to get their supplies before school started again. Wandering around the cobblestone streets it didn't take long for Gaby's eyes to fall upon the familiar sight that was a quidditch supplies shop. Interested to see what it would be like in comparison to her family's own shop she waved her way through the crowd almost seemlessly. Almost. Just as she was about to reach the shop window she was so focussed on seeing what was on display that she didn't notice a girl coming from the other side and walked right into her. "Merde." Gaby whispered under her breath before looking up at the girl. "Je- I'm sorry."

Ana was admittedly quite satisfied with herself and how far she had come since graduating. She wasn't moved out of home yet, that was hopefully her next thing to do, however she had been juggling her full-time job and busking pretty well. She was a busy person, and so truthfully not having any friends made it so much easier for her, despite really thinking she needed them a year ago. Friends were a difficult thing to think about, however she didn't have time for them anyway, and so always tried to push the thought to the back of her head.

Ana had just finished her hour of busking at Obsidian Harbour. She packed up her music stand and violin, and carried both down the street as she headed home. It was quite busy however, and Ana tried her best to dodge people as she made her way down the street. It was a hard task, and soon enough, Ana found herself colliding with another girl. She looked down at her violin almost immediately, hoping that it was okay. But as she heard a familiar foul word, she quickly looked back up, her eyes narrowing at the person she collided with. "There's no need for that language around here." she snapped. She never liked people who couldn't find alternate words for the bad ones.

Gaby's eyes widened when the girl she had bumped in to snapped at her, not having expected her to realize what she had said. It had been a reflex mostly and she frowned for a second when it almost sounded like the girl was lecturing her. Admittedly, she was surprised the girl had understood what she said but at the same time she didn't think it had been that bad. There were far worse words she could've used but she wasn't one for speaking like that. "I'm sorry?" She replied, although she personally wasn't sure whether it was a question or an apology. Or perhaps both. Gaby glanced at the shop window behind her for a second wondering if she should just head in and leave the girl be, but something in her made her feel like that was rude. And she wasn't rude. At least didn't want to be more rude than the girl probably already perceived her to be if she had found her language foul. "I didn't damage it.. did I?" She asked carefully, nodding towards the violin she had noticed the girl holding. It didn't look like it from where she was standing but then again she didn't have much knowledge of musical instruments.

Ana narrowed her eyes at the girl as she apologised and it came out more like a question than a sincere apology. Why was it so hard for people to have some manners these days? Frustrated, Ana almost snapped back at her until the girl opened her mouth again, this time wondering if her violin was okay. Ana's face softened a little, shocked that someone was actually concerned for her instrument. She hadn't met many musicians other than herself, and so it was a nice feeling. "No, you wouldn't have damaged it. The varnish is delicate, so there's a raised shelf for added protection." Anastasie explained, glad that she had gone with the suspended cushion case. One could never be more safe than sorry. "Do you play?" she asked, wondering if that was perhaps why the girl was concerned.

Gaby had to admit she was a little intimidated by the other girl. Mostly because she didn't seem too impressed with her or her actions. Something seemed to change when she asked her about the violin though, glad to have gotten out of the girl's range of fire. "That's good." She nodded when the girl assured her that she hadn't damaged it, shoulders dropping in relief. "It's very pretty, would've been a shame." Gaby added with a small smile. She wasn't much of a musician herself and had little knowledge of instruments but she knew they could be expensive. Not only that, but she would hate for someone to damage anything she cared about so she dreaded doing the same to someone else. "Oh, no. I'm not really musically inclined. In like any way, shape or form." She answered with a small giggle, glad her skills lay elsewhere or she would've been disappointed in that fact.
