Susie had enjoyed Potions last year. In fact, she'd enjoyed it so much, and was so keen to impress her professor, that she had decided to take initiative and do a bit of experimentation. Her first experiment - she had several more ambitious ones planned - was to be conducted in the antiquated lavatory, where she presently sat on the stone floor surrounded by odd flower stems and roots collected from the gardens. She was eighty-two percent sure one of the plants was scurvy-grass, and she'd have accepted far worse odds if it meant she had a chance of brewing a legitimate potion. What was she making? It was anybody's guess. But the greatest inventors, she reasoned, must have started their journey by tentatively dropping random stalks into a hot, bubbling cauldron, so what was the worst that could happen? She gave the mystery concoction a quick stir, humming to herself. Whatever it was, it smelled amazing.

Lilith wasn't sure what she was expecting to find in the Antiquated Lavatory, but she was sure it wasn't this. For when she stepped into the rustic looking room, intending to finally see what it'd look like as it was one of the places for whatever reason she had yet to step into, she was met with Susie. The very Hufflepuff she was sure Antares had initially warned her about. Though if she was being honest, he had had his guard so far up back then that he probably warned her about most people he had seen, but she thought things were changing little by little. She was very proud of him. Back to the present situation Lilith looked at the peculiar view. Was she, was this girl really brewing a gods damned potion on the floor of a lavatory? Surely not, surely not one she would consume? That must have been a very big sanitary issue. "Susie, is that you? What in the name of Merlin are you doing?" Lilith asked with a hint of laughter in her voice, this was surely about to be a very interesting conversation. One that Lilith was extremely interested in having, besides she was looking forward to getting to know the girl better this year hopefully.

Susie looked up and, seeing that it was only Lilith and not a professor, proceeded to drop another sprig of probably-scurvy-grass into her potion. "Maaaybe," she said. A faint column of green smoke rose from her cauldron. Was that a good sign? Well, it was certainly a sign of something, and that was a success in Susie's books, good or bad. "I'm taking initiative. I don't know what it is, yet, but it smells good, huh?" Actually, it was starting to smell a bit acidic, but there were still floral undertones. "Hey - you're not gonna snitch on me, right?"

Lilith looked at the suspicious liquid and then at the Hufflepuff behind the could-be-poison-could-be-potion, not sure what to think. "Uhhuh, sure." The second year decided to feed into her friends delusion of the liquid not smelling like a chemical hazard at this point. "Nope, my lips are sealed but I will personally not be trying this..... thing?" Calling it a potion wasn't right, for it looked and smelled like something one should NOT put anywhere near their bodies, but perhaps Susie knew what she was doing. "What is it anyways?" Lilith asked curiously, staying a few meters away just in case things went sideways.

In Susie's defence, most potions smelled like something muggles would use to de-scale a toilet. She shrugged. "Iunno. I was going to do the forgetfulness potion, but I couldn't find any wormwood, so-" she gestured to the cauldron- "bon appetit." It was really starting to steam, now. Sensing an explosion, Susie carefully levitated the cauldron off her bluebell flame jar and set it on the floor. She coughed. The smell really got into the back of your throat. "I don't know if it's supposed to be lumpy..."

Lilith's face turned into a grimace as the smell started to surround her, yeah most potions smelled very not pleasant but this one... This was on a different level. Her brows shot to her hairline as Susie said what she was going to make, but hadn't found the right ingredient so this was what she ended up. Lilith leaned forward slightly to look at the potion that looked like someone might have left chemical waste in a cauldron for a decade or so. "I don't think so... It looks like if it were to come in contact with anything, that anything would simply melt..." Yeah you didn't need to be a Ravenclaw to figure out that you should absolutely not drink that. "Susie, I don't think you should try it, here drop this in and see what happens." She gave the girl a piece of her cats treats that was left in the pocket of her ropes. Better test it on a pet treat first than yourself.

Susie prodded the concoction with her wand. Something unidentifiable bobbed to the surface. Lilith was probably right - but probably wasn't definitely, and if there was a small chance she'd invented something miraculous, she wasn't pouring it down the drain because it looked and smelled funny. "Hmm... good idea," she conceded, taking the treat. It disappeared into the cauldron with a plink. There was a sizzling noise as several gooey brown bubbles appeared on the surface. Her eyes said, I probably shouldn't drink that, but the rest of her face said, it's not gonna kill me, right? "Should I try it? Do you dare me?"

Lilith suppressed a gag when the treat disappeared and then another as Susie actually CONSIDERING trying it. Her mouth opened and closed several times as she tried to figure out the best answer. "I do not dare you, so if you choose to take a sip of that it is only on you. I advise you not to try it but if you really want to I trust you to be responsible enough to make the decision." She wasn't daring her friend to do that, not only because it was nasty but also because there was no way she'd take the blame of any bad side effects the thick liquid might cause. "By all means if it really looks delicious have at it I'll make sure to get you help if it goes wrong but if I were you I wouldn't." If Susie took a sip and things went wrong, Lilith would get someone or drag her to the hospital wing herself.
