Boredom had set in and that was never a good thing as far as Tobiah was concerned. The teenager dropped the cigarette he'd been smoking and smashed it into the ground with his boot before he headed off his parent's property. He'd grown tired of being at home with nothing to entertain himself, so he'd headed to an old stomping ground, the small wizarding village near Durmstrang. Tobiah hadn't been anywhere near there since he'd left the school, but something drew him there today, probably trouble.

His boots crunching in the dirt, the man held his coat closer to him as he walked down the street. Everything looked exactly the same and he sneered at that. Tobiah couldn't believe that absolutely nothing had changed in the small, dusty village. He smirked to himself, wondering if he was still banned from the candy shop that he'd stolen from in his third year. The temptation was there and he found himself walking in that direction.

It'd been a few months since he'd visited the village a couple of miles outside of Durmstrangs and as he was walking down the dirt streets he found himself outside a sweet shop that he's frequented during his younger years. In his final year at Durmstrangs, Alistair was proficient at sneaking off the grounds and able to come and go as he pleased. As long as he wasn't caught. Which had never happened before.

The cold air whipped at his coat as he was about to enter the small shop but a man heading towards him caught his eye. Was it? No it couldn't be... But the man walking towards him looked a lot like a boy he used to know at Durmstrangs, named Tobiah. He hadn't seen him in years since he left (or got kicked out depending on the rumors you chose to believe) and they weren't exactly the best of friends as Alistair was in the year below but they'd talked a couple of times before. Deciding it couldn't hurt to ask he stepped forwards as the man drew closer. "Tobiah?"

Tobiah's hands were stuffed into his jacket, his fingers playing with the pack of cigarettes there, already itching to light another one. He knew it was a really bad habit, one he'd eventually have to break. Not today though. He'd just begun to pull the pack from his pocket when he heard someone call his name. Turning, the young man find himself staring at a guy about his age with dark blonde hair. He waited, hoping for some sign of recognition, a memory, or something. There was nothing.

He pulled out the pack as he stared, banging it against the heel of his hand. "Who's asking?" he replied after a moment, putting the pack away. He'd hoped to have avoided the students, but it was the tail end of the year and the older ones hanging around wasn't beyond possibility. They had fewer classes and more freedom. It hadn't been too long since he'd let the school, so he might be recognized by some of them. "Well?" he prompted.

The other man turned and stared at him, pulling out a pack of cigarettes as he did so, leaving him without a doubt that this was Tobiah Djordjevic, an ex-student of Durmstrangs. He was somewhat taken aback by the hostile response and quickly stuttered out a response. "A-Alistair, I was the year below you?" He hadn't expected to see anyone from school and this was a surprise. Pulling out his own pack of cigarettes he lit one and took a drag, leaning against the wall of the sweet shop, holding out the packet of cigarettes to Tobiah. The man in front of him didn't look at all different from the last time Alistair had seen him, same hair and everything.

Tobiah broke into a grin at having made the boy feel uncomfortable. "Ah, Alistair. It's been an age, no?" he asked as if he remembered the guy. He really hadn't though now that he thought about it, he vaguely remembered the kid running with some of the same kids that he had when they'd been in school. Perhaps they'd even snuck a cigarette or two together during their shopping weekends. Tobiah had started early. As the boy held out his pack, Tobiah took advantage. He wasn't going to waste any of his own stash if he was being offered from someone else's stash. He leaned against the shop, joining the guy. "What have you been up to? Graduate yet?" he asked, trying to get some kind of information to further jog his memory.
