A sudden meeting

George paced through the courtyard, waiting for the lessons to begin. Alice wasn't here presently - she had something to do, as she had said, but hadn't wanted to press the subject, neither did George anyway. Continuing to pace around, he greeted some friends that passed by, smiling. He had made a lot of new friends since his relationship with Alice, and that a good thing for him. He liked having people that he could trust.

Suddenly, he noticed one of Alice's friends - Jaden Feanor, as he recalled her name. Thinking of making an acquaintance with her, he headed her way, but without drawing her attention.

Jaden was sitting on a bench, reading The Other Family by Joanna Trollupe. it was one of her favorites. She was up to the part when Richie went when she heard someone call her. She raised her head, looking around for the source. She saw George.

George was dating one of her closest friends, Alice, and Jaden often saw him alone. "Hey." she muttered, closing her book.
