It was always, always almost impossible to meet up on the first day back when you were in two different houses. Even more so when you were in two different years to boot. Theo, however, wasn't exactly like most people. He could be quite persistent when he was determined. Or quite determined when he was being persistent. In any case, nothing ever really stopped him much from wanting to accomplish his goals. Time away from Hogwarts Scotland had merely made that even more prevalent. Hogwarts New Zealand had been fun though, it couldn't quite beat how it felt to be home and Hogwarts Scotland had been home to Theo for quite a few years. Not to mention that he had quite the few people here in the school that he'd regretted leaving behind. Archer was one of them.
Theo and Archer... They had something. The beginning of something. Theo hadn't really quite expected that Archer would have been different from any other boy he'd gotten together with. He was... special. There had been no other way to describe it. And that had been a little scary for a Theo who had not been ready to grow up. He wasn't any readier now to grow up he thought, but seeing Elio and Mikael had perhaps made him think about what he could have been having with Archer if he hadn't ran off to New Zealand for a year. An older Gryffindor and a younger Slytherin. It was almost funny to think of the parallels. Thank Merlin Archer wasn't nearly as bad of a grump as Theo's dear ol' cousin. Before he could actually try to see if he and Archer still had a chance though, he should probably say hi first. And apologize. "Heeeey," he said with a sort of nervous grin as he blocked Archer's way through the corridor after the Feast. "I got you a souvenir?" This was obviously the worst way he could have done this, but Theo was a bulldozer through and through. So he held up a shirt - a very tacky red shirt that had a print of a map of New Zealand with words written - I went to NZ and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.
