Margarette Woodlock had been the happiest she had ever been in the past year. All of it seemed too surreal in her mind and she would often feel that one of these days, she'd wake up and find out that all that happened was just a blissful dream. But that was really not the case. Everything that went on was real. No matter how lopsided there relationship was when they started, she and James had ended up tying the knot in the end and she couldn't have been any happier about it. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter and that had already been a year ago which was quite hard to believe. She had given birth on last few weeks of June in St. Mungo's and because graduation season was over by then, James was right there with her, which even though it wasn't any less painful, it was a lot less scarier than it would have been if she had been alone. It was a few weeks after Olivia Jane's birth that she found out that her fiance had resigned as a professor and had decided to be in between jobs. It should have scared her, but it didn't. She knew they both had enough savings to last them a good while, and there was income coming from Vibez as well. The only thing that saddened her was the fact that she knew he loved his job and that's why she had been convincing him to apply again. Hopefully, that had been good. However, he had surprised her again when they had been wed only a few months ago, and though they had yet to be on their honeymoon, she had never been happier to call James her husband.
Today though was a day of celebration. It was their little daughter's first birthday. And for this event, they had decided to stay in her home country and have a small celebration there with her father and his family. They were there during their wedding, but because of certain circumstances, they didn't stay very long. And that was why the couple had decided to spend a couple of days in the Philippines. It was a rainy season of June and yet, it didn't manage to waver the happiness of the woman sitting in the car. "We're almost there," she told her husband and daughter as they sat in the car from the airport, listening to the gentle pitter-patter of the rain. It was certainly a gently melody that could lull somebody to sleep as she smiled gently at the man sitting beside her. "I'm so excited! Dad said they cooked a lot of food because it's Livi's birthday, even though we told them not to bother too much," she giggled out at the thought that her family had not picked them up from the airport cause they were too busy cooking. "Are you tired though? We weren't sure if Livi could handle apparating so that was a pretty long plane ride," she mused as she tickled her cooing daughter before turning her attention back to her husband.
