Margarette Woodlock had been the happiest she had ever been in the past year. All of it seemed too surreal in her mind and she would often feel that one of these days, she'd wake up and find out that all that happened was just a blissful dream. But that was really not the case. Everything that went on was real. No matter how lopsided there relationship was when they started, she and James had ended up tying the knot in the end and she couldn't have been any happier about it. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter and that had already been a year ago which was quite hard to believe. She had given birth on last few weeks of June in St. Mungo's and because graduation season was over by then, James was right there with her, which even though it wasn't any less painful, it was a lot less scarier than it would have been if she had been alone. It was a few weeks after Olivia Jane's birth that she found out that her fiance had resigned as a professor and had decided to be in between jobs. It should have scared her, but it didn't. She knew they both had enough savings to last them a good while, and there was income coming from Vibez as well. The only thing that saddened her was the fact that she knew he loved his job and that's why she had been convincing him to apply again. Hopefully, that had been good. However, he had surprised her again when they had been wed only a few months ago, and though they had yet to be on their honeymoon, she had never been happier to call James her husband.

Today though was a day of celebration. It was their little daughter's first birthday. And for this event, they had decided to stay in her home country and have a small celebration there with her father and his family. They were there during their wedding, but because of certain circumstances, they didn't stay very long. And that was why the couple had decided to spend a couple of days in the Philippines. It was a rainy season of June and yet, it didn't manage to waver the happiness of the woman sitting in the car. "We're almost there," she told her husband and daughter as they sat in the car from the airport, listening to the gentle pitter-patter of the rain. It was certainly a gently melody that could lull somebody to sleep as she smiled gently at the man sitting beside her. "I'm so excited! Dad said they cooked a lot of food because it's Livi's birthday, even though we told them not to bother too much," she giggled out at the thought that her family had not picked them up from the airport cause they were too busy cooking. "Are you tired though? We weren't sure if Livi could handle apparating so that was a pretty long plane ride," she mused as she tickled her cooing daughter before turning her attention back to her husband.

The last couple of years had been a complete whirlwind for James, his life had changed in so many ways and he had never been happier as a result. The truth was when he knew Margarette at school he liked her, but he never imagined marrying her. When they met years later the two were compeltely different and their new personalities just seemed to click. Since then every seemed to go by in a blur, they fell in love and suddenly they had a new arrival in their daughter Olivia. Every time James looked at the two ladies in his life he had to pinch himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. Thankfully he wasn't. He could barely believe that Olivia was turning one, the best decision he ever made was quitting his traching job to spend more time with his family. Seeing Olivia everyday for the first year of her life was something he would cherish for the rest of his life.

With Olivia's birthday coming up they decided they would go and spend it with Margarette's familly in the Philippines. Margarette decided that they wouldn't apparate because of the baby so they would fly there muggle style. James was reluctant but his wife decided it was two against one and he couldn't argue. With a reluctant smile James agreed. As they sat in the care at the other side of the flight James turned to his wife, "That was awful," he smiled at her, "I don't know how muggles do that over and over, we just sat there in a flying tube for hours," James kept his tone light and humerous but he was exhausted after their flight and was looking forward to sleeping.

Margarette couldn't help but chuckle at her husband's small complaint. "It wasn't that awful," she teasingly told him, and although she knew it was probably very awful for him, she also knew that they were lucky that their flight had gone smoothly. "Okay, fine. It was horrible, but we were lucky there wasn't much turbulence on the plane. It could have been worse," she said as her sight flew by the streets of the Philippines. It was a very hot day despite it being the month of June and she wished that she could easily say that she was still used to the scorching heat of her own home country. "I know, but don't worry we're almost there," she told him reassuringly with a small peck on his cheek before reverting her gaze back to the streets as it slowly started to become familiar. Soon enough, she had begun starting giving specific instructions to the driver to reach the house of her father's family. "Sir, just drop us off by that house please," she spoke in the local tongue, though with the years away from the country, the once familiar dialect sounded foreign from her lips. After paying the driver, she got out of the car and helped James with taking out their baggage.

And while one would expect that she would be bursting through the doors of the house with happiness, Margarette was actually pretty nervous and so she merely stood at the sidewalk, holding their little Olivia in her arms despite the scorching heat. "I'm actually pretty nervous. I haven't been here since we were seventh years," she told him softly. Although she didn't have a bad relationship with any from her father's new family, it still felt awkward for her to stay with them after her mother's death during her fifth year in Hogwarts. That was why she never came back after graduation and merely looked for jobs until she was scouted to be a model. And now, seven years later, she was back with her own family. But there was definitely no turning back for her. Besides, James was with her, what could go wrong right? And so, carrying their daughter in one arm, using her free arm, she took James' hand in hers and they started heading to the door, though she knew not what to expect from inside.
