Kate hadn't felt this depressed and upset in a long while. She couldn't believe what had happened,he had told her he had loved her and then he had run off because he was afraid.Kate understood that he was afraid, everyone who he had loved turned on him but Kate had thought she had proved herself worthy for not leaving. He had looked so scared and then everything about being like his father and colorblindness. To be honest Kate hadn't been thinking that far ahead really but now there didn't really seem any point because he had left. She felt tears well up in her eyes but she sniffed and held them back. She wanted to search all the grounds of the castle and find him and tell him not to be scared that everything would be okay but she didn't think that would work. She realized he needed space but that didn't help her.She felt a gaping hole and she knew it wouldn't be filled until he was by her side. What killed her was that fact that he had just told her that she loved him and she had been so happy so elated and then her world came crashing down when he had continued on.There was an edge of bitterness way below the surface, she had gone through so much her life had practically changed since she had decided to sit down on that bench outside Brighstone that day during the holidays. She had always stuck by Stefan's side even when he had pushed her away so her clung to her stubborness and stayed right there. When he had been thrown to the ground by his father she had been there to help him.She had gone through such a variety of emotions over the past three years and this year had been turning out as probably one of the best so far and then this blow. She had cried all night into her pillow and she was sure her eyes were still red and puffy. She wanted to get through this with her held high but she was just sick and tired of trying to be string. There is only so much one can take and Kate was nearly at the end if her tether. She just wanted to go somewhere are cry her eyes out.Maybe hit a few things in the process. She needed to get rid of the swirl of emotions inside her.

After Stefan had left Kate had sat on the North Tower the tears trailing down her cheeks as she began to comprehend what had happened. She had broke down then and she had vowed never to venture up to the North Tower again because every time she went up something bad happened to her.She had then run out to the grounds crying in the process and took cover in the rosebush. She had nearly managed to kill herself twice running down the stairs blindly. She had bumped into a couple of people also who hadn't been very happy about it as she had caused one person to knock their books over. After spending a considerable amount of time in the rosebush she had walked fairly slowly up to the Hufflepuff common room where she had stayed for the rest of the night. She slept uncomfortably that night and she hadn't gotten much sleep. Now as she sat in the dungeons she could feel her eyes drooping from the lack of sleep and all the crying. She liked the dark dungeons because they reflected her mood and the darkness was nice on her tired and wet eyes. She loved Stefan with all her heart and it killed her knowing he felt the same way but he was too scared to embrace it.It wasn't the end of it,Kate wasn't going to let what they had go.She leaned her head against the cool wall and closed her eyes. She felt tears trail down her face and she got out a tissue and whipped them away. She was a total mess and she hoped the wrong person didn't see her like this.

For someone that had been living at Hogwarts for four years, it would be suprising that Samual Pace Kaster still had not really gone down to the Dungeons before, except when attending SDA meetings down here. But Sammy didn't like the dungeons, they were rather cold for the sun-loving Gryffindor, they even caused him to shiver, it was horrifying. Samual also had claustrophobia, though quite mild, he didn't like dark, enclosed spaces, such as dungeons, so he avoided coming here. But right now he couldn't avoid it, as by some sort of freak of nature thing, Samual had misplaced his black jacket. It was a big castle, and a small black jacket, but he remembered wearing the item at the SDA meeting, and decided that he should probably stop procrastinating, and search the last place he hadn't searched. The dungeons. The dark, cold, dreary dungeons. Samual tottered his way quietly through the cold looking tunnels.Merlin did Sam feel uncomfortable here, this place was the complete opposite of his personality and was bringing his mood down. Today was one of his good days, and he wanted it to stay that way. When he woke up this morning, he felt absolutely wonderful, even though his hair was everywhere, and he was quite sure he was coming down with the cold, he was still quite happy, but cold, especially down here. He hugged himself and zipped his jacket up a little bit more to try and hold warmth in better. Why did the dungeons have to be so chilly? Couldn't it be warm down here? Although, Sam had to admit, he'd rather be cold and tightening his jacket around him, then melting and having the urge to walk around in the bare essentials, especially if he ran into someone down here. Now that would be awkward. He chuckled slightly and shook the moment that would never happen from his mind, running his fingers through his curls. They were all over the place today, it was a minor inconvience, since he felt the need to hide their messiness under his hooded jacket.

Samual sighed inwardly as he continued his way through the dungeons. In all honesty, the Gryffindor was lost. This was quite embarrassing for him, but in his defence, he was not accustomed to being in this part of the dungeons, perhaps he took a wrong turn back there? He turned around, and frowned, he wasn't sure exactly where he came from. Fantabulous... "I'm going to die down here." He muttered quietly, looking around him, deciding that he would continue to go forward, he was bound to find someone sooner or later. When he saw someone sitting in the distance, he smiled slightly, finally, someone that could help him, but as he approached, his smile faded, very quickly. Kate Moon. Kate Moon, the friendly and funny Hufflepuff he thought of as a close friend was on the floor... crying? His heart sank, not Kate, Kate was so nice and strong, Samual really looked up to her and so was so nice to him. She even told him that if he ever needed help, to get her. But right now, his being lost issue disappeared, Kate needed help right now. He quickened his pace and sat down beside her, a sad frown on his face. He didn't like people crying, especially since Kate was so nice and she had been through so much to his knowledge, she didn't deserve to be crying in the dungeons. "Kate?" He asked quietly. So looked so small right now, so Samual pulled her into a hug, just like when they first met, except he hugged her tighter, she obviously needed it, no-one was okay if they were down here crying, Kate needed some moral support right now, and Samual was perfectly willing to give it. "It's okay, everything will be okay..." He mutered softly, trying to comfort her with soothing words.

Kate's eyes felt all swollen up and she wanted to stop crying and but on a facade and act as if everything was alright. She was usually strong and wouldn't let anything bother her but like most things with Stefan it just struck her in a place that was un protected. The heart was a difficult thing and it never ended well when your heart was broken. She wasn't sure how she was feeling. She knew that he loved her but he was too scared to take anything further and now Kate's heart was broken. She wasn't sure what was going to happen now.Stefan had been the only boy in herself that she had loved. It had taken her a while to figure out that what she was feeling was love. It's a complex thing and at the beginning of second year her heart had been broken with out her realizing it.It was more painful this time but now way was she repeating second year.It would be much deadlier this time as she was still thin from last year and second year.Kate wasn't sure why what happened happened last year but now was she letting it happen again. She would get over it soon though never fully. She had always scoffed at the girls in her books or in movies who seemed to be so upset when they got dumped or what ever, the situation wasn't the same in this case but she did see where they were coming from.It was hard to loose someone you loved and she just hoped something could be done soon. That Stefan would get the silly notion out of his head that something bad would happen. He had said he didn't want to hurt her but how was this any better?

Kate whipped the tears from her eyes and took a deep breath in.She needed to stop crying and get through this because there was no point being all in the dumps over something that would take time to fix.Like every other time Kate would be there waiting because that was just what she would do.She had vowed to never leave him even when worst came to worst. She understood that Stefan had gone through a lot in the past few months and in a way she understood why he was scared. The unknown is always a scary thing and most people shy away from it because it's out of their comfort zone. But at the moment Kate just felt like an empty shell.Stefan had been her closest friend also and it's not easy loosing them.Even though he was still in the school they would talk, she wouldn't feel his arms around her and they wouldn't kiss again.Kate wasn't sure what was going to happen.Soon Kate heard someone aproach her and sit beside her.She recognized who it was when they spoke and pulled her into a tight hug.She laid her head on his shoulder and tears began falling again and this time they were sobs. She was shaking because she was thinking of everything they had been through and she just let all her emotions free. She hadn't expected Sammy tightly hugging her and being there for her last time they had met.She had said lats time that she would be there when ever he needed her but it seemed the table had turned and he was there for her.Kate needed someone to lean on and Sammy was perfect. She knew she could count on him. After a while she stopped crying and she sat up slowly, she must have looked a mess, she looked at where her head had been lying and the top of his jacket was covered in her tears. "I'm sor.."She began before hiccuping, crying a lot usually does that to you.She took a well used tissue from her pocket and attempting to blow her nose. She looked up at Sammy and gave him a small brief smile "Thanks"She said before she felt the sadness taking over again.A dam had opened and she wasn't sure when it was going to stop.

Samual didn't care about the dungeon anymore. He didn't care that it was cold, and dark and depressing, he didn't care that he was lost and still needing to find his jacket. Now of it was important anymore. Right now, his nurturing side came out and he felt the need to comfort Kate, as she had offered to do the same for him when ever he felt he needed it, and she even came to his rescue in the Great Hall from that horrible Annalie Darkhart. It was his turn to do the same for her, it was the least he could do for the slightly older girl as she cried heavily into his shoulder. It made his heart break that she seemed to be in so much pain, she seemed so strong when he last saw her, what had happened to her in such a sort period of time for her to be like this? He hoped some mean person hadn't upset her, but mean people were everywhere these days, Samual only knew too well that mean people were everywhere and would go to great lengths to upset others. He really didn't understand mean people sometimes, surely they didn't get anything out of being mean? He could feel her shaking and sobbing into his shoulder and frowned. Poor Kate. He hoped she'd get better soon, he was near tears himself. He blinked rapidly, crying into Kate's shoulder because she was crying into his was not going to make Kate feel better, he was here to cheer up Kate, not start a cry club in the dungeons with her. What sort of moral support would he be if he ended up crying with her about how horrible people and life in general could be? He chewed his lip and smiled apologetically at her, wishing for her to be happy again.

Samual shook his head slightly when she appeared to try and apologise to him, probably for his soaken shoulder. But he didn't really mind her crying into his shoulder, he had done the exact same thing with Katie, a different Hufflepuff girl that reminded him strongly of Kate, it could be the name, or the fact that they both played Quidditch, were in Hufflepuff, were both incredibly nice and both managed to comfort him in some way. "Don't worry about it." He said soothingly, he changed his seating position, to make it more comfortable for himself and sat on his knees. Playing with the strings of his hooded jacket, Samual looked Kate in the eyes, and forced a happy smile, still trying to get the happiness he didn't have to rub off on Kate to make her feel better. They both couldn't be down here being all depressed, even if they were both upset, for entirely different things, Samual was determined to make Kate feel better and get everything off her chest. Letting ones feelings out into the open was always nicer than just bottling it up, Samual was slowly starting to learn that. "You're welcome. It's okay to cry." He added, patting Kate's shoulder in an attempt to comfort her. But one question plauged his mind. What had made Kate so upset? He was about to ask her, but seemingly as soon as she finished her thanks, her eyes started to become glassy, and more tears formed behind them and streaked down her face. Samual frowned and pulled her into another comforting hug, what else was he going to do? Cast a spell to make her happy? He wasn't sure he could, and he was quite sure it probably wouldn't be allowed either. Samual waited until Kate finally calmed down before he let her go once again and looked at her sad, puffy red face. "What happened?" He asked, finally deciding that maybe he should give Kate a chance to get everything off her chest and out into the open.

Kate was glad that it was Sammy who had found her,she knew he would comfort her with out fuss. She wasn't sure where any of her old friends were these days.Willow seemed to have disappeared, she hadn't talked to Tara properly in ages and now Stefan was gone too.She didn't talk to Sara much but things were better between them.It seemed the group they had once had in first year had totally dissolved. It was sad in a way because the main reason they had dispersed was all the trouble in second year. The night of Halloween was when the probably lost Willow. She had been just trying to help then and no one seemed to be being helped and then she had her own problems which caused a very un-like Willow outburst that night.Stefan had said a lot of things also, things that she wasn't sure if he meant them or not. They had all been very p!ssed that night and really ended with Sara spelling a rope to wrap around both Kate and Stefan's legs to try and sort out their differences but that hadn't really worked. It was then things were skew ways with herself and Sara. That night hadn't helped Kate because she had finally start eating and even though she didn't like admitting it,she had been scarily thin that year.RHI might make fun of it but what Kate had done had been dangerous. She was still thin but not half as bad as she had been in second year. Finally she and Stefan had met and the end of the year and he had apologized.Everything had seemed okay after that but then everything was she and Sara happened. The group was never the same after second year.

The had gone through a whole lot together, they had all grown up really fast that year. Some of the things said that year still played around in some people's mind. She had not liked all the rich jabs made by Stefan but she had decided to forgive him that day at the Hufflepuff table. So much had happened that year, too much for twelve year olds.Sometimes she felt much older then her actual fifteen years, she had definitely gone through much more then your average fifteen year old.She was surprised her parents hadn't taken her out of Hogwarts and transferred her to Beauxbaton which would have been much easier because it was closer. But Kate would have never spoken to them again and they probably knew it would make things worse at home or Kate would do something stupid so they would have to send her back.Kate nodded and briefly smiled when he said not to worry about the jacket. It was moments like this when you realized who your real friends.Sapphire and Samual were definitely Kate's new closest friends. She could tell he was trying to make her happier with his usual happiness but he seemed upset too and that distracted Kate. "Are you okay?"She asked in between big gulps of air.Crying and sobbing could take a lot out of you and Kate felt an over welming sense of tiredness and anger. She was just fed up with Stefan. Look at what he had caused, she knew it was intentionally but he left because he didn't want her hurt but look at what him leaving had caused. All the bull she had gone through for the past three years and finally when things were going right Bam he drops that bomb on her and her world is upside down once again.Kate wondered would she ever get a break. She had a good mind to find Stefan and ask him Is this what yo wanted? But the rational side of Kate knew that Stefan had left because he was scared he would turn to is Dad which she knew would never happen but once again she was just going to have to wait until he realized it.With that her anger deflated like a balloon and all Kate felt was tiredness and sadness because she was going to have to wait once again.Once Kate had calmed down she looked at Samual when he asked her the question "Well you see,th..ings ww...ere just starting t..o go gg..reat with Stefan and I and wwe kissed and then after hh..e says he is scared and that..e doesn't wa..nt to turn out like his dad and hh..e said he loved me buut he was scared and he left and now I hhave to wa..it again!"Kate said, her crying making it hard to tell Sammy what was wrong.he probably didn't understand half of it.

Samual waited patiently as Kate seemed to try aand gather herself, he had no problem with waiting until she was ready, she was obviously in a bad pplace and it was uup to hher to get herself out ofof it, all SSamual could do was prove her aa shoulder to cry on and a kind ear to talk to, maybe some advice to try and help her ouout, though Sammy himself was not too good aat keeping himself float, so he would probably not be much help with adivce oon hhow to feel bebetter, he cried to the Divination Professor when he was upset, so maybe he could use some of her wisedom tto help Kate? Samual was shocked when Kate came back and asked him if he was okay. She was on tthe floor, in the dungeons, crying her eyes out in his shoulder, and she was asking him if he was okay? This was not aabout Samual, this was about Kate, she had to bbe taken care if right now,she didn't Ned another worry to bring her down, they could talk about Samual later, right now, Kate obviously needed to be comforted, she was tthe one turning red and ouffy ffrom tears, not Samual, though hhe was getting upset at the fact that she was crcrying. Samual was a very empathic person, and so seeing a cclose friend of his in tears, it really effected him, and made him feel like crying too. "I'm obviously doing far better than you.'' He said quietly, trying to shift tthe conversation from his own problems and back to Kates soso he could try and help hher, she didn't deserve to be this hhurt. He took a deep breath as she gathered herself once again, he could tell tthat she was probably trying to speak to him, so he spoke in a ggentle, soothing voice, one that he used when someone waswas hurt and upset, it usually made them more trusting and made them ffeel better, hopefully iit wwould work now. ''A problem shared, is a problem halved.'' He explained, using advice he was given by Professor Le Fey, who was vvery intelligent and he was ggrateful that she had made him ffeel so mmuch bebetter, hopefully he would do the same for Kate.

Samual nodded in understanding as she looked at him, and attempted to tell him her problems. Samual couldn't understand the whole ththing, but he got a few words. He understood enough to piece together that Kate's life was going well, but then it went bad because of Stefan being scared of something, Samual heard dad mentioned in there and something about beibeing like him, but he didn't know stefan's father, so he wasn't entirely sure what that meant. After they kissed, Stefan apparently left her and she has tto wait, or something similar, again. He frowned slightly, so Kate was heart broken? Much to Samual's relief, he had never been heart broken, and to his kknowlegde, he had never broken any hearts, mostly because all the mmovies and boks he had read aboabout romance and hearts breaking, ended like this, one person crying their heart out and bareing their soul to a friend because they are sso hurt by the experience. It seemed horrible to have your heart broken by someone you love leaving you. He blinked rapidly to stop tears from falling down his fface because he wawas so upset for her, and smiled weakly at the older girl and licked his lips so he could speak. " You'll be okay, Kate.'' He reassured, putting his arm around her shoulders to comfort hher, it was quite cold down here, and knowing Kate's luck lately, she didn't need a ccold toto go with those tears. "Here, take my jacket.'' He added, removing his jajacket once aagain and putting it on Kate's shoulders. ''You're a wonderful person, and I'll always be here for you.'' He reminded ssoothingly. ''You have friends here, anand even though the world seems absolutely horrible right now, everything will be fantabulous in the end. If you and Stefan are meant to be, it wil happen.'' He added. ''Sometimes you just have to wait a little llonger to gget wwhat you want.''

Kate was always one to comfort people and seem strong. She usually helped other people during their hard times and was the moral support. She had never been used to being helped herself because she had never really needed. That had been her problem, she didn't accept any help during second year which made it more difficult for her to get better and this meant she excluded herself from her friends and family. This was probably what started the wedge between Sara and herself but later developments also played a part in that.Kate was stubborn and she had refused help, saying she could help herself. That had been a major problem in regards to getting better. She knew deep down that with out outside help she wouldn't get better because she had gotten to deep and she couldn't get back up by herself.Refusing help had also caused the shouting match between herself and Danielle in the middle of the Great Hall. She had had to repair a lot of broken friendships when she was much better. The real stepping stone was when she actually admitted to herself that she needed help.Everything had gone pretty smoothly after that, except for the event at Halloween though that had nothing to do with eating. That was between herself and Stefan and it hadn't gone very well.So even though she was crying her eyes out in the cold dungeons on the floor she still asked Sammy was okay because that was in her nature. No matter how bad things were for her she would always put people before her.She could see he was shocked that he had asked but Kate would always ask if other people were alright "True"She said sniffing and breathing out.She had calmed down a lot and she could breath properly now instead of the hiccuping she was doing earlier on. "Wise advice"She said smiling briefly. That had been quoted to her a lot before and they were right.

He didn't seem to be too confused so she guessed he got the gist of what was wrong. She felt more better after releasing her thoughts. She wiped her eyes, they felt sore and puffy and she wished she had some water to splash onto them to reduce the puffiness. Her nose was totally blocked and her voice sounded hoarse. She was in a sorry state and she hoped no one else but a good friend ventured down to the dungeons. She didn't know how big the dungeons were or how she even got to where she was.She had been running blindly, taking a turn here and there not taking notice of the direction. She hoped Samual knew the way he came because if he didn't,once Kate was feeling better they could be stuck down here for another while. "Hopefully"She said sighing comforted by his arm.He really was a good friend and Kate was glad he decided to comfort her that day by the Lake. She would probably still be balling her eyes out if he hadn't appeared. She tried to object to being given a jacket, she didn't want him being cold either but she knew an argument would be fruitless so she let him put the jacket around his shoulders "Thanks"She said quietly, the corner of her mouth curving into a smile when she smelt the strawberries. She looked him in the eyes and she knew he would always be there for her. "I'll always be there for you too"She said in return. It was nice to know you had people covering your back.Late's list of people wasn't that long but she knew she had a tight circle of friends who she could trust. "Yeah well see I've been waiting for three years now and just when I thought the waiting would be over it's started again"She said sadly.

Sammy laughed slightly, purposefully trying to lighten the mood with a small chuckle, there were too many tears, it was time for some smiles. "You're looking better already." He explained quietly, he then nodded. "Yeah... I must admit, I borrowed the advice from Professor Le Fey, I visited her in her office a while ago, she's really nice." He explained, remembering how the kind Professor even gave him some cookies, he promised himself that he would visit her again, because she was so nice. Kate sounded hoarse and she looked horrible, not that Samual would ever say that, because that would be really mean, but she looked so drained and upset, horrible was the only word Samual use to describe her, though it was probably because of the emotion that caused it, since Sam was quite sure he looked exactly the same when he was crying into Katie Swain's shoulder. "Do you want some water?" He asked, seeing as Kate had basically cried an ocean, the shoulder of his jacket had a damp patch, and even his shirt had a wet patch, so now he was concerned that maybe she might need some water, and it would probably help with her throat, her voice was quite rough. Samual shook his head stubbornly. "No, no 'hopefully', you will most certainly be okay, I know ou will be." He promised. Though it was not worded like a promise usually was, Sammy meant it as a promise, he liked Kate- Strictly as a close friend, he thought she was really nice and deserved better than she got, so he'd go out of his way to make sure she was happy, because he felt she really deserved it. Samual simply smiled reassuringly as Kate took the jacket, which smelt of strawberries like Samual's clothes always did, and thanked him, this was starting to turn out just like the first time they met, except Kate wasn't crying, and Samual wasn't about to. But considering the creepy place they were, the dungeons didn't seem so bad right now, though he hoped that they weren't disturbed by some mean person that would come down and laugh at them and just be downright horrible to them. Thoughts of RHI then found their way into his thoughts and he frowned slightly, shaking his head to get that horrible little magazine out of his head, thoughts like that will just make him upset. He grinned happily at her as she told him what he already knew, he got the impression that Kate would help him if he ever needed it, but it was still nice to hear it from time to time, if was comforting. "Thank you, I really appriciate it."

Samual nodded as Kate spoke much more clearly this time, explaining how she didn't want to wait again. Waiting could be hard, sometimes it was tempting to just give up, but it was also painful to just wait around, wondering what would happen and looking around all the time for clues as to what might happen and when it would all end. Sammy could sort of relate, but for a very different circumstance. Sometimes, he still waited for Ben to walk through the door of his house when he was there, or he waited for a letter that would never come from his older brother. He knew Ben was gone, forever, but his heart jus didn't seem to want to believe, so still, even after all this time, whenever he got a letter, or saw his brother Jack walk through the door, he'd think it was Ben, just for a micro-second, he would think that Ben was just being mean and faked his own death to be dramatic. But that was just wishful thinking, Ben wasn't going to suddenly pop up out of nowhere, saying that he had lied to them all these years and he was ready to walk back into their lives. Samual wasn't sure how he would act if that turned out to be the case, Jack had done a very similar thing, just running away without so much as an explaination, then suddenly contacting them years later saying that he was ready to come home. No-one had taken it well, in fact, there was a yo-yo of emotions that day, especially Tessa, since she was pregnant, Sammy was sure if Jack at of been there in person, she'd have murdered him. He sighed quietly. "Sometimes... the waiting can be worth it." He explained. "But if you're feeling this much pain, you have to make sure that it is truely worth waiting." He advised in a more serious tone. Samual got how she wanted to wait, how she felt that she had to wait because of her feelings, but if waiting was going to be doing this to her, he had to wonder if it was all worth it. "And if it is worth waiting, then I guess you just have to keep on waiting." He added. "But you don't have to wait alone, you have friends that will be happy to help you through everything, you just have to help us help you." Samual smiled as he finished and looked at Kate reassuringly, he'd stand by her and help her out when she needed it, because it was in his nature.

Kate was indeed feeling much better. She realized that the only way for her to pick herself back up was to listen to friends and let them help. She knew what Stefan was like and she had to give him space and let him work everything out.She had done it before and she would do it again. That's what friends are for they're always there and when you need them most they will be there to help you but they also know when to give you space.Kate had almost become an expert at that sort of them, she just hoped that he realized that he did deserve her and likewise.Love was a scary thing and you never know what can happen but that's the fun of it.Some people don't like change,to many things that are uncertain but Kate had learned to embrace it.Ever since she had come to Hogwarts she and everything around her have been changing.Life would be boring if you just stuck to the same things for all of it,change made it interesting and fun.You never knew what was waiting for you at the end of the tunnel."I don't know her very well,I never had her as a teacher"Kate said,Professor Le Fey had stopped an argument starting between herself and Annalie after the RHI magazine. To add insult to injury she had also taken points from Ravenclaw which had made it even sweeter for Kate.Kate nodded "that would be lovely"She said smiling, she didn't have her wand with her,she had left the common room in a hurry wanting to go somewhere private to cry.Kate laughed slightly "I don't really have a choice then?"She said grinning, sniffing again. She really needed to blow her nose "Maybe a tissue too please"She said.Friends were amazing things to have.Very useful and often one of the best things anyone could have.Kate was glad to have such good friends, they made the world a much happier place to live in."No bothers,it's what friends are for"She said nudging his arm.

Her face must not have looked as red and puffy as it had earlier.Talking about your problem can really make you think about it and get a solution to your problem.Kate usually would have taken the blow with Stefan in her stride.Sure she would have been sad and upset but not to the extent she had been earlier. But everyone has a breaking point, even the toughest of people can only take so much.Alyss Summers for example. Not usually a girl you would like to cross with but when it came to the magazine she had just had enough and broke down. What Kate had done had been similar. She had reached her breaking point and the dams had burst.Resulting in her sitting on the floors of the dungeon, balling her eyes out only moments ago.RHI would have a field day if they ever found out about the latest event that had happened in Kate's life.It would be curious to see if it would be in the nest issue if there was a next issue. The teachers seemed a bit touchy that they couldn't find out who the culprit was.Kate would find it rather frustrating too.But it would soon come to an end,who ever wrote it had to leave school sometime and the sooner the better really. All Kate knew was that Anonymous was a Slytherin and they could possibly be a group which was worse really. One thing that struck her was the fact they could get pictures.Kate certainly hadn't posed for any of the pictures shown in the magazine and she thought electrical items didn't work in the school. The fact that someone would secretly be taking photos was slightly unnerving. The fact they got people to watch her and other members of the school was creepy also. Some people did just about anything for attention or to cause havoc.Kate sighed,Stefan was definitely worth waiting for. "It's worth waiting for, usually I'm not as bad as this but I guess"She said breaking off,the breaking point had been reached "I know,i learnt that the hard way"She said sighing but smiling all the same

Samual nodded slightly. "I've never been in a class of hers either, but one day I decided to visit her." He explained, remembering the memory very well, she scared him at first, well, not really, but she caused him to jump slightly by suddenly bursting out of her room. "She was really nice to me, and she's really smart." He described. Professor Le Fey was one of his favourite Professors now, even though he had never actually had her as a teacher, but she was a really good listener, and that's what he needed at the time, someone to listen to him, someone that had a totally none-bias opinion. Samual didn't know Professor Le Fey, and she didn't know Samual, so it seemed like she was the perfect person to visit with his problem. He nodded and pulled out his wand. Thankfully, Samual was never without his wand, even when he was not at school, because even though he wasn't supposed to perform magic outside of school, he still liked the comfort he had when he had his wand, sure, he couldn't do much, but he could do enough to make him feel comfortable and safe by himself when exploring a new place. He thought about the water bottle he had, but never really used. He kept it by his bed just in case he needed some water, but he never seemed to actually need water during the night anymore, but either way, he filled is up every day and filled it up every night. "Accio water bottle." He waited carefully for the water bottle to come flying towards them. The last thing either of them needed was Samual's water bottle coming and smacking them both in the head and knocking them out or something. He caught the bottle and wiped the top, not that he'd used it for awhile, but he thought he'd just give it a quick clean incase it had dust or something. "Here you go, hopefully this will help you." He gave the bottle to her, and then nodded stubbornly. "Exactly, you have no coice in the matter, you'll be okay, and if you have a problem with it... then tough cookies." Sammy explained, and then nodded again. "Accio tissue box." He commanded, catching the light coloured box of soft tissues and handed them to Kate happily. "And here's those tissues." When Kate nudged his arm, he nudged her back playfully. "Yeah, you're right." He agreed, flicking his curls from his eyes.

In all honesty, Samual was curious as to what she was going to say, but figured that if she was fully confortable with voicing herself, she'd finish the sentence by herself, so he didn't ask her about it, instead giving her a quick comforting hug. "It it's worth waiting for, then I guess you'll have to keep waiting, and your friends will be right there with you." He reassured kindly. Samual nodded happily, glad that she seemed so much better, even if she still looked like a mess, atleast she was no-longer crying and making incoherent sentences that he had to strain to understand. She was going to get better, she just had to wait patiently and believe it, it seemed that she was believing what Sammy was saying, which was good, because hopefully his advice would help her, because he really hoped it did, Kate deserved a break from a hard life, she deserved to be happy for longer than a few days, and she most certainly didn't deserve to be sitting down here, crying her eyes out. "Atleast you know that now." He said sweetly, squeezing her softly and standing up, turning around to face her and holding out his hands. "Do you feel like leaving now?" He asked, looking around the dungeons slowly. In all honesty, he was looking to see if anyone was lurking around, because he didn't like the dark, cold feeling the dungeons gave him, and the fact the RHI seemed to have eyes super glued to Kate made him very aware of his surroundings. "Because in all honesty, the dungeons are scary and I'd rather be in the kitchens baking a cake with you, then sitting down here, in the cold, watching you cry your eyes out." He explained, shaking his head slightly, now he really wanted to bake a cake, for absolutely no reason at all, except that it seemed like something that would be far more enjoyable then sitting on the cold floor, crying, and if Kate couldn't walk because she was crying, which was something that used to happen to Sam when crying, he'd help her walk, it was the least he could do.
Sorry it's lame.

Kate had never thought of visiting a teacher.Kate had either gone to her friends or tried to deal with it herself. She would keep Professor Le Fey in mind for the future though she hoped there was no reason to.Maybe she would just go and talk to her.Kate had never really spoke about everything that had happened to her.It was all still buried down there-she had never really sat down with someone and confessed everything that happened to her.She had never really seen the reason too but as she thought about it maybe it would be a good idea just to talk about everything and let off her worries about Stefan. She wouldn't be able to rest until she knew he was okay which wouldn't be for a while. She just wanted to make sure he was okay. "I just want him to be okay"She sad accidently voicing her thoughts. That's all she ever wanted and now he was gone and she didn't know where he was now.She couldn't let herself get too worried or stressed out about it or she would be taking another visit to the hospital which was something she never wanted to do again.Kate never wanted to be sick again, she never wanted a reason to visit a doctor again. She almost had a slight phobia of the building because she had spent many weeks just sitting on a bed, feeling miserable and all the while just smelling anti-ceptics.It had been a miserable time and she never wanted another reason to enter a hospital room. The fact that after she had just returned from the hospital only a few days later she had to go back in had brought Kate some bad memories. "thanks"She said taking the water bottle and taking a slug.Kate grinned "tough cookies, that's a new one"She said taking another sip of the water. Her throat didn't feel quite as raw. When the box of tissues arrived she thanked Sammy again and gave her nose a right blow. She then wiped her eyes and she felt a lot better now."Where would anyone be with out friends"She said almost to herself. She valued all her friendships very highly

"I guess it was all just too much. One moment I was on cloud nine and then blah I've fallen off and hit the earth with a right thud"She said sadly. "Plus just too much has happened over a short period of time,Hogwarts doesn't feel the same"She said, taking another sip of her drink and wiping her eyes once more.Hogwarts used to be a second home to her,she had felt safe, all her friends were here,Stefan was here.Even though a lot had happened while she was at the school, something good had always followed but now she just wasn't sure anymore.Once RHI had come out,Hogwarts didn't feel as safe anymore. Some had ruined any sort of privacy and had laid her worst moments in life on the table. She hadn't thought anyone had really taken notice but someone had and decided to tell the whole school about it. "Yeah, just hope he will be okay"She said biting her lip.How anyone could be mean to this kid was beyond Kate.He was sweet and a good friend.Being mean to him is like taking sweets from a two year old, that's what Kate thought anyways or maybe she was just being too protective. "Yeah, this place isn't exactly sunshine and daisies"She said getting up stiffly. Her poor body felt like it had run a marathon.Crying really did take a lot of of you. "Well I'd prefer to be baking also"Kate said stretching her legs a bit.She hadn't cooked in a while and she would like to do some.Plus there was lots of places to hide in the dungeons and she almost felt like someone was watching her "What kinda cake would you like to make?"She asked turning her attention back to Sammy

Samual looked at Kate with slight confusion as she seemingly spoke her thoughts, because she spoke a little quieter than someone usually did when speaking calculated sentences, but he stilled managed to hear her, so he decided to answer her and try to put her fears to rest once and for all, though he doubted that she would ever stop worrying without having Stefan pop up out of the ground and proclaim that eh would never leave her. "With someone like you waiting for him, I'm sure he'll be just fine, even if it takes him awhile to realise it and come back." He reassured. Samual nodded as Kate took the water bottle and thanked him. It was the least he could do, and she needed it far more than he did, so he was happy to give her the bottle, she already had his jackets, so he didn't mind lending her a bottle too. "It's okay." Samual shrugged slightly, a grin growing on his face. He had plenty of similar sayings for different occasions. They tended to lighten the mood a little more and they were a little more appropriate for him than something along the lines of seriousness. "I could've called you a silly sausage." He joked, still trying to lighten the mood with his childish remarks and words. "But it didn't really seem to make sense, so I couldn't say it." He added with another shrugg that ended in a short laugh. Samual could tell that Kate valued her friends a lot, and it was understandable. Friends were so important to everyone, the world would be a horrible place if one could only survivie with their family by their side. Family was good, great in fact. But friends were unique and allowed there to have a different view on subjects and helped people to have a greater understanding. "I think the world would be crazy if no-one had freinds.' He admitted absentmindedly.

Nodding in understanding, Samual waited patiently for her to finish. She was right, if too many things happened at once, it was nearly impossible to stay calm and collected. He himself had first hand experience in that. "Everyone has a breaking point." He said quietly. Once again, Kate was right. Hogwarts wasn't the same anymore, it all seemed to be upside-down and back to front. It was just all crazy and foreign to him. The school used to be so... quiet and normal, people did their own thing and no-one really bothered anyone. Sure, this was a little lonely at times, but atleast no magazines were going around teasing and pointing out peoples flaws when Samual started. Now that his years at Hogwarts were starting to close, everything was just going nutts. "And I agree, it's all higgledy-piggeldy..." He wasn't sure why things had to be insane, but the best he could do was keep his head low and try to stay out of the lime-light. Samual nudged her should lightly again. "Don't worry, like I said before, with someone like you waiting for him, I'm sure he'll be okay when he comes back." He reassured. Stefan was really lucky, because Kate didn't look like she was ready to give up on him, and that took determination and caring. With a small nod, Samual stood back a little and awaited her reply, helping her up as he did so. She seemed a little stiff, which was to be expected because she had just been crying for Merlin knows how long. Samual wasn't sure how long she had been down here when he found her, an hour? three hours? five minutes? He couldn't be sure. The answer she gave was expected, and he was happy that she seemed to feel the exact same way about the Dungeons as he did. He didn't like them, they were too cold and dark, and he wasn't sure, but he could swear that he could hear something dripping and it was a little distracting. The fact that Kate pointed out the obvious made him chuckle slightly. This place was nothing like sunshine and daisies, in fact, he wouldn't put it past daisies to actually die if they were brought down here, even for a few minutes. When the decision on what cake came into play, Samual pursed his lips. Generally, Samual liked all cakes, they were all nice and his mother tought him that if you put in an extra egg and a little more milk, the cake was 'fluffier' and tasted so much better. But if one cake was higher on his list of best cakes ever, it would have to be chocolate cake, it was the best cake flavour ever. So a smile crossed his face as he spoke his thoughts. "Well... I've only ever made chocolate cakes, with any success." He admitted. Sure, Samual baked cakes quite a bit, but for some reason, if he even considered making anything but a chocolate cake, all Hello would be unleashed and terrible things would happen to the kitchen he was working in. "So if you don't mind, baking a chocolate cake is my preference." He finished meekly.

Kate had always been stubborn,it was a family trait really. Most of the Moon's were stubborn. It made them determined and somewhat annoying at times because once they made up their mind there was no going back.In arguments it proved down right annoying all together because disputes could go on for ages because both side would be too stubborn to admit they were wrong. But it could be a very useful trait at times. If Kate hadn't been as stubborn as she usually had and maybe a tad understanding she probably would have exploded at Stefan.Give out to him completely and leave him in her anger. But Kate was too stubborn to let it go.She stuck by his side believing that he would come back and also she had understood after a while that pressuring him was going to get you no where. You had to be patient, understanding and stubborn.Kate had hoped that she would never have to do what she did in second year again but it turns out she would and this time with the extra worry of wondering was he okay.It would always be at the back of her mind. She knew if she went to Obsidian Harbour she would be searching for his familiar face with out even realizing it. "Yeah"She said sighing as she did so.She really appreciated Sammy trying to make her feel better. She didn't know what she would have done if he hadn't appeared. "I must give your other jacket back to you"She said feeling bad that she had forgotten to return it.But life had been a little hectic lately and she made sure she would give the two jackets and his water bottle back as soon as she could. She must also buy some strawberry shampoo because it really did smell nice.Kate grinned "Now that one I've heard of but no it didn't really"She said agreeing with him.Silly sausage would have sounded a bit funny. "It certainly would, family are great but there is only so much of them you can take"She said smiling.Friends were your solace. You could tell them anything and they would understand unlike parents who wouldn't understand even if they tried.

A lot of people went through life with out even nearing their breaking point.Others like herself were not as lucky and reached at the unhealthy age of fifteen.Someone shouldn't have gone as much stress as she had at the age of fifteen or any other age under thirty in Kate's eyes.Your teenage years and twenties was when you were supposed to experiment and enjoy life not be in hospitals or starving yourself or balling your eyes out in dark, dreary dungeons. "Yeah, but I think I hit it too early"She said sighing. No one wants to hit their breaking point,it usually means things aren't going well in life and everyone wants a happy life, one they can enjoy.Secondary school was supposed to be the place where you made memories with friends and find out who you were. That hadn't really worked out for Kate and other members of the school.Hogwarts just wasn't the same.RHI was encouraging people to spy on people and send rumors into the magazine. It was ridiculous really and she hoped the teachers would stop it soon. "Higgledy-piggedy,I think I've heard of that one too"She said a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.Sammy really had a gift for thinking of words that instead of making you feel bad it just made the situation seem less serious."Thanks"She said as Samual helped her up.She stretched her legs and arms, cracking a few bones in the process.
"Hopefully that won't be too long"She said, she won't put it passed Stefan not to return to school at all.She tried not to think of that though because she wasn't sure how she was supposed to cope for two years with out seeing him.Kate smiled, because her mother loved cooking she had taught all the Moon's how to cook various different recipes.Chocolate cake was one of her favorites. "Chocolate cake it is then"She said grinning. She was looking forward to the end result "Shall we?"She said indicating the direction to the kitchens

Samual was glad that Kate seemed like a tough and stubborn person, sure, she was having a breakdown and had been crying for Merlin only knew how long down here, but things could have been worse and she had gone through so much, she deserved time to vent. The least Samual could do was just be there for her and allow her that time to vent and let it all out, even if she started shouting at him he doubted he would feel the need to leave her alone in the Dungeons, they were not a very nice place, in fact, it made Samual shiver several times already. When she meantioned his jacket, he laughed slightly, he had completely forgotten about Kate having his jacket, this would be the second time she'd have his jacket, but he didn't mind, every time they met she seemed to need something to keep her warm, so Samual naturally gave her his jacket, but he just happened to forget about it as time went on, and he had even forgotten about lending this one to her too. "Don't worry about it, I have tons fo them." He explained, and right now, Kate needed it far more than than he did, and he didn't even remember that she had it, so obviously he didn't miss it that much. "Besides, I totally forgot about it, so obviously I won't die if I don't it back for awhile." he reassured her, he was here to help Kate, not pressure her for his jacket back, because he really didn't care either way, whether she gave it back or not. "So don't worry too much about it, really." Kate was just being silly, worrying about his clothes when she was obviously distressed. He nodded in agreement, family were special, and so were friends, but they were two different types of special, but he was sure Kate already knew that, he was sure everyone did.

Samual shook his head slightly. Sure, Kate was young, and it seemed crazy that she would go through all this stuff at such a young age, but Samual also believed in life timelines, he believed that everything would happen at the right time, even if it seemed totally crazy, stupid or cruel, things were meant to go wrong, even if it seemed that the world was going to end, it never did, life went on, the sun set at the end of the day and then rose back into the sky the next. Trials just made people stronger, and it was best to smile through them, even though Samual wasn't the strongest person when int problematic situations, it didn't mean that at the end of the day, if he had time to calm down and settle his feelings, he couldn't smile and accept everything, eventually. "I think you were ready." He said, nudging her softly. He was still trying to make her feel better, he hoped he was succeeding, she was smiling more, so that was something atleast. He was sure she wasn't ready to be smiley and overly happy like when they first met, but atleast her smiling as good enough for him. "I mean, you're doing really well and I think that this will only make you stronger, and prepare you for future stuff that will question you." He added in his most comforting voice he could muster. He knew that Kate probably wasn't having a great time at Hogwarts, he doubted everyone regarded the school the same way, but he was determined to try and not let his school life be controlled by the paranoia and fear RHI created with everyone. Samual shrugged. "I could give you a run down of my vocabulary, but we'd be here forever." He joked. He nodded in agreement, he hoped Stefan returned quickly, he didn't know him personally, in fact, he had never seen him, to his knowledge, but he was obviously important to Kate and all Sammy wanted was for her to be happy again. "I'm sure he misses you as much as you miss him, so try not to worry too much. Maybe he can send you owls?" He added, facing the way he thought the kitchens would be. He beamed when Kate agreed on chocolae cake, this was going to be fantabulous, Sammy loved cake. He nodded and started walking with her, looking around the dreary dungeons. "You do know where you're going... right?" He asked a little later after they were walking for a little bit.

Even though Kate was feeling so much better since Sammy had come down there was still the underlying sadness. She had a feeling that it would be a while before she saw Stefan's face again. It was worse this time because she wouldn't actually see him and she had no idea where he was and if he was okay.Other times she had known where he was and even if she hadn't wanted to see him in second year she had still known where he was if she wanted to find him but now it was completely different. She just hoped that he had made the right decision and he wouldn't come to regret it too much.In a way she admired him for making his own decision and leaving the castle. That took guts. She wondered had any teacher noticed that he had left and if they had would they do anything about it.She wouldn't say anything and she hoped Sara didn't either.Kate had heard by word of mouth which kinda hurt but she understood why.It would have been harder for both of them if he had come to say goodbye. She wondered would it be in the next RHI magazine which she guessed would be coming soon enough. Kate still felt bad though, she must remember to give them back to him "Still,I feel bad for taking all your jackets"She said grinning and wrapping the one she had on currently tighter around her.She tucked her head inside and smiled when she smelled the lovely sent of strawberries "How do you get all your cloths to smell like strawberries"She asked after taking her head out of the jacket. "I would give you back yours now but it smells so nice and it's nice and warm"She said, she was going to say he could have it back if he was cold but she doubted he would let her.He seemed to be taking the job of making her feel better very seriously and Kate appreciated it.She would definitely return the favor if it was ever needed.

Kate hoped the Annalie girl didn't pry on Sammy again. She really seemed to affect him and Kate didn't like that. What ever she had said to Sammy seemed to have struck a nerve and she would be glad when Annalie left the school.Save herself,Sammy and probably some other people a lot of stress.Kate didn't like that fact that she knew she would have to go for check ups ini the doctors to make sure her adrenaline was staying at the right level. She didn't like the fact that something was holding her back from being completely normal. She knew it wasn't anything too serious and it didn't really affect her day to day life but the fact that she would always have to watch the adrenaline levels and make sure to take tablets when she knows she'll be under pressure just bugged her for some reason. She should count herself lucky that she does't have to go to the hospital all the time or that she can't do somethings because of an illness. "Really?"She asked curious, she had never thought herself ready for all of what life had put her through.Kate contemplated what he said and she did have to agree with him "I guess you're right"She said smiling slightly. She wondered where had Sammy learned that.Either he had experience something that had made life hell or someone had told it to him. After the second issue of RHI Kate just couldn't be bothered with the magazine. So what if it wrote a whole pile of rubbish about her,so long as her friends didn't believe it and she herself didn't why should what the magazine say even matter. Kate laughed slightly "I'm sure we would"She said agreeing with him. "I think he just wants to be alone for a while"she said forcing a smile. She wanted nothing more then to run after him and haul him back to the castle and give out to him for leaving her and being scared when there was no reason too but Kate wasn't that sort of person. She didn't let her emotions run her actions. This was Stefan's choice and though it affected people in the end it was his life and he had to find out what he was going to do with it.After a while of walking,Kate frowned. She hadn't really taken notice of where she was going when she had run down her.She had after all been crying and she had looked for a place where hopefully no one would find her. "Hmm ya of course"She said absent-mindedly.She actually had no idea where they were going but she was sure they would find some sort of a door sooner or later that would indicate where the two actually were

The dungeons were most certainly not a pleasent place at all, which was probably why Kate came down here in the first place. No-one would usually come down here to hang out, let alone go around looking for someone else, which meant that it would probably be the best place to hide and vent, though, Samual was sure he wouldn't come down here to cry, like Kate did, the atmosphere would just make him feel even more miserable and upset. He tried to keep a smile on his face, because he feared that if he frowned, Kate would frown also, and then they would both end up drowning in their owns tears together, and that didn't seem too pleasent at all, so he wanted to aviod it. Sure, he was quite sure Kate wasn't all sunshine and roses right now, but atleast he had managed to stop her from crying so much, it was good that her face was starting to clear up and her voice sounded much better, they were both good signs that the period of tears was behind her and she could start thinking of the positives, like the Yule Ball, that was sure to be a good night, and he hoped he'd see her there, hopefully enjoying herself and having a great time, because if he saw her all alone, he was going to go up to her and talk to her, because the Yule Ball could be a lot of fun, but only if you had someone else there with you. Samual laughed and shook his head, Kate was too kind, he really didn't mind whether she had his jackets or not, as long as they were with her he knew where they were, and that they were probably being treated carefully. Besides, he doubted that she would misplace them, he'd already lost one of his jackets down here, which was what brought him here in the first place, so he was now sort of glad that he had misplaced one of his jackets, oherwise Kate would still be down here, probably crying her eyes out. "You haven't taken all of them, just two. Besides, they're probably safer with you, I've already lost one." He explained, trying to reassure her before she worried herself too much over it. He smiled when she seemed comforted by the presence of his jacket, it was probably the scent strawberries that made them so pleasent, because they made him feel better too. He laughed at her question, it was simply really. In his trunk he had a few little pouches that had the scent of strawberries magiced into them, thanks to his now passed away father, they would probably always smell of strawberries, and so the smell went to his clothes and some of his books because they were in his trunk, but he wasn't going to tell Kate that, it was his own little secret. "That is for me to know, and for you to never find out." He said stubbornly, but in a playful manner, crossing his arms across his chest and lifting his chin up higher. He burst into laughter as she confirmed his thoughts. It was the strawberries! And the warmth, but he was sure it was mostly the strawberries. "I knew it, no-one can resist strawberries." He added, flicking his curls out of his eyes and smiling.

Samual nodded. Sometimes, he found that he could word some pretty 'deep' sentences, and didn't always fall back on his childish personality to avoid fear and sadness. Losing family caused him to fall onto books and his own thoughts for comfort, so most of the time he knew a lot more than he let on, because for a few years of his life he felt so alone, which also accounted for his fear of being alone, he never wanted to feel empty again, and being alone made him feel that way. He decided that just nodding was a good enough answer, as he couldn't think of any words to say that would express his thoughts in a way that Kate would fully understand, so he kept them to himself. Samual rolled his eyes. "You weren't supposed to agree with me." A smile crossed his face. "You were supposed to say: Oh never, Samual, I'd love to hear every word you know." He explained, trying to imitate her voice as best as possible. He was doing this just so she'd laugh, or atleast crack another smile and hopefully feel a little better. Samual nodded in understanding. "Sometimes people need space, the best we can all do is provide it, but always be ready to accept them back." He said, looking around the dungeons, and then back at Kate and giving her a reassuring smile, he was sure Stefan would came back for her, he was positive, because he couldn't understand why someone would leave without tying up loose ends first, and Kate was so nice and understanding, he doubted it was an easy decision. They had been walking, seemingly nowhere for quite a while, but something about her face told Samual that it was not to be trusted easily. Samual eyed Kate suspiciously and bit his lip. "Kate...?" He asked slowly, starting to doubt whether Kate actually knew for sure where they were going. "I would like to point out that these dungeons are kind of biggish..." He said quietly, hearing a slight echo of his voice now as they wondered further into the dungeons. "And I don't like the thought of being lost forever down here." He explained, trying to figure out whether he knew where he was, but he doubted he would find anything, because he had only been down here... maybe twice if he was lucky. Once he came down here with a friend to get something to eat, but that was ages ago, and he was in his First year and was much more... stupider back then. "That kindof looks like a way to the kitchens..." He muttered quietly, pointing to a sideoff from the current path they walked. In all honesty, he had no idea, there passage could lead to some chamber that housed a dragon for all her knew, though he highly doubted there were any dragons in the school, it would certainly be interesting. "What do you think?"

Kate had never been a lover of dark dank places. She loved the sunshine and the light. Why anyone would prefer to stay cooped up in a dark room with no natural light was beyond her.It wasn't healthy either as everyone needed their vitamin D to help absorb calcium. In Ireland the sun didn't shine that much so when ever it came out Kate would always be outside soaking it up.Kate was athletic also so she enjoyed playing sports outside. She would be one of the more athletic in the family.Ryan used to love playing football and hurling but all he did these days was sulk in his room and playing his guitar and drums much ti the annoyance of the people in the rooms beside him.Star didn't like sports much but she loved walking and would often take walks.Sara liked swimming and basketball.Kate loved all types of sports though she didn't train for some. She loved hurling and gaelic football but there was no club near where they lived so she couldn't train properly but sometimes during the summer she would get her hurley and sliotar and puck it against the wall.It was a nice distraction for when you were bored. Her favorite sports were basketball, athletics, cycling and swimming. She did most of theses during the summer. They had their own basketball court and pool for her to enjoy though she did prefer swimming in the see.She had a bike that she would take out and cycle around the country and then for sprinting she would just practice on the long roads that lined the estate and was usually empty.Sammy had done a good job of making her feel just that much better. Her eyes were a normal colour and they didn't feel raw but she did feel so very tired. She felt that if she closed her eyes she would fall asleep even on the uncomfortable and cold floor.Hopefully some cooking would help wake her up.She was hungry also.Kate grinned "Okay so but if the time ever comes I'll be returning the favor"She said she was appreciating the warmth of the jacket. The crying seemed to have drained her and she felt really cold. Her immune system still wasn't up to scratch and she found it easy to get sick ad tired easily. "Is that a challenge?"She asked her eyebrows raised, but then she started laughing when she saw his posture. "Strawberries are the best"She said grinning. She was going to search every shop till she found strawberry scented shampoo. She loved the smell of grass and lavender too.

It had been strange for a while when she and Sara had briefly fought and drift away. She had always had someone there. She had never really been alone. When you grow up with a twin you never really get time for yourself which doesn't really matter when you are young and it had never bothered Kate until she was sick and she had everyone asking her was she okay when she clearly wasn't and trying to help when she didn't want any.It was in a way her fault the whole thing with herself and Sara started. She had been selfish by ignoring everyone and not letting anyone help.If she had just let them she probably wouldn't have gotten so thin and maybe things wouldn't have been as bad.She and Sara were always going to eventually drift apart. It was just a part of life, they were still sisters and twins and they would always love each other but it was more distant though. They chatted but they wouldn't hang out by themselves.Kate was comfortable with the arrangement. With Star and Ryan it was more complicated. It was all Ryan's fault, stupid eejit of a brother who was acting like she had in second year.Look how well that had turned out?Kate knew from experience how bad an idea it was to not let anyone in and help. She wish he would just realize this and stop drowning in his own sorrows because he was taking everyone down with him. Kate grinned and laughed at his attempt to imitate her voice. He didn't do a very bad job but it was still funny. "Good attempt"She said between laughter.Even though she felt tired she felt much better and hopefully this feeling would last for a little while longer. "Exactly"She said appreciating the reassuring smile.Kate knew that was the best way to do things. She wasn't sure would Stefan know she would wait. She had done so before and she just hoped he believed she would and come back to her soon.Kate now knew they were officially lost, she had been turning at every right corner and now she wasn't sure where they were. "Yeah?"She asked not briefly looking back at Stefan before continuing forward. The torches were getting darker and Kate fell back beside Sammy as she had no wand so Sammy would be doing the lumos spell so they could actually see where they were going. "Don't worry we will find our way to the kitchen....eventually"She said trying not to show any type of worry. She looked down at the sideoff to their path. She did't know where that lead,it could bring them deeper into the dungeons or it could led them to the kitchens "Only one way to find out"She said heading down the path

Samual smiled slightly. He was grateful that she was so kind, but he hoped he'd never be found crying and needing comfort, again. But he was grateful that he'd have someone to call upon if ever he felt he needed it, back with his track history, he probably wouldn't call for her, because he'd worry about bothering her or something. Though it would be different to wear Kate's jacket, would it even fit his shoulders? Samual wasn't big, but he was probably broader around the shoulders than Kate was. But he wasn't about to Accio a tape measure and check. "I'll keep that in mind." He said, still smiling. It was nice that she cared, she didn't have to, but she still did. Kate seemed really drained, it was easy to tell. She looked like she was about ready to curl up on the floor and sleep. Sam hoped that she didn't end up falling asleep, otherwise he'd have to carry her through the dungeons, which wouldn't be so bad if he knew the way out, because Kate wasn't very big yet. But if he was carrying her and managed to get out, he wouldn't know where to take her, the hospital wing wouldn't work, because she would have been sleeping, not dead or fainted, and he couldn't take her to the Gryffindor Common room, first off the stairs would kill him, but the second reason would be that Kate wasn't in Gryffindor, and Samual wasn't in Hufflepuff, so he really hoped she didn't end up sleeping on the ground, otherwise Samual would run into a lot of problems on how to carry on with her being out of action. Samual nodded. "It just might be." He replied. Kate seemed to be having fun with his antics, and it was fun to be silly sometimes, so unless it upset someone, he wouldn't be serious for a long time to come, except in serious situations, like exams, classes and meetings with adults or something, though even in classes he tended to be a little silly. Samual nodded enthusiastically. "They really are, they smell so sweet and taste so nice, especially when it's a really hot day, I just feel like lying around eating strawberries." Strawberries had to be one of the happiest fruits on the Earth, except maybe bananas, because they were shaped like a smile, but strawberries could be shaped like hearts, so they were kind of loving fruits. Probably. Well, they certainly tasted like it anyway.

Samual poked his tongue out childishly, he thought his attempt was pretty good. "I try." It seemed that Kate was in better health now, which was good, it was nice that she seemed more emotionally stable and calm, because it made Samual calmer as well, now that he didn't need to worry about whether she was going to cry or not. Samual shrugged in response, he had no idea, he was just guessing randomly, it was better to have a random guess, then to be standing confused in the middle of no-where, well, it wasn't quite no-where, but he felt like he was totally lost either way, especially since there was no natural light. natural light was much better than artificial light, and especially darkness. It was cold down here too, it would be better with there was a fire or something going, but it was the dungeons, not the Gryffindor Common room. Samual pulled out his wand, and then commanded a quick Lumos to light up the area around them. The corridors lightened up greatly, and dark shadows were cast in darker areas of the path. It was comforting to have the light from his wand to help, he should have thought about it earlier, but sometimes he forgot about stuff like that, though he really did love his wand and felt empty without it on him. Samual never left without his wand, well, occasionally he would, but it was very rarely, he even took it with him when he was in a Muggle area, because even though he was legally not allow to perform magic, if he ever needed it in a dire situation, he'd use it and would suffer the consequences later. Growing up in a mostly magical family, and community, he didn't really have experience in the Muggle world, and sometimes it was scary for him because it was so new, and some of their things were frightening. Like when he watched Muggle movies on occasion, sometimes they were scary for him and would leave him wondering why he agreed to watch them in the first place. Samual turned his head sceptically at Kate and rose his eyebrow in question. "Before, or after we die of starvation?" He asked, feeling his stomach rumble. Wasn't this nice, possibly dying in the dungeons while looking for the kitchens so they could eat. Fantabulous. Samual wasn't cranky, or whining, but he was slightly alarmed, because he didn't like it down here and it was stressing him out a little bit. Running his fingers through his curls in an attempt to calm himself down, he poked his head around a corner and then looked back at Kate, his wand still shining brightly. "Do you smell that, or am I hallucinating?" Sammy was sure he could smell something... sweet, which would be a very good sign that they were near the kitchens, where ingredients to make chocolate cake could be found.

Kate eyed him suspiciously "You better"She said serious for one moment but then smiling. She learned from experience that sometimes when you are in pain you don't tell anyone because you think you can deal with it yourself or you don't think it's a big deal and it will be old news in a few days but usually that's not the case and it goes on for weeks and you get distant from your family and friends and your whole life goes spirally out of control.Kate knew the consequences first hand and it looked like Ryan was the same way.He had held up much long er then her though. This was his three year being such an @ss.When she looked at Ryan now all she saw was a shell of her brother.Kate hadn't really gotten the chance to properly fix the situation with Ryan as over the past two and a half years she had been too caught up in her own problems. She felt partly to blame because maybe if she hadn't been as sick, they could have focused of Ryan and got to the root of the problem much earlier on.There was nothing to do about it now though, all they had to do was focus on Ryan when and why he changed. It was going to be a long process but the end result would be worth it.She loved her brother and even though it was his life and his decision as he liked to tell them, they were all involved and anything he did was going to affect the rest of the family and even though he called himself selfish he was going to have to accept the fact that they weren't going to let him get away with what he was doing and it was time to man up and tell them what was wrong before he permanently caused a rift between himself and the family.Kate grinned "Yes,how I do love strawberries though the amount of warm days is numbered in both Ireland and England"She said, feeling the urge to lie down and sleep. She just didn't feel herself.Even though Sammy had made her feel much better she still didn't feel completely right. It made her feel restless but she was so tired.

"God loves a trier"She said grinning. She was quite good at putting up a facade.Even though she was genuinely enjoying her time her,her full heart wasn't in it.His attempt at her voice was good, better then some people but he was a boy after all.He wouldn't be able to quite do the duplicate.Kate wasn't that worried,if worst came to worst, they could knock down a few walls or use an accio spell to get people's attention or just get food. When it came to survival, various spells could be used in different ways to get what you need.As they walked along the dungeons,Kate looked around. She had never properly surveyed the dungeons. The only time she came down here was for class and when she came down here she was usually in a rush or she just didn't notice or even think of actually looking around. To be honest there wasn't much to look at.Bare, damp, cold walls.Lamps lighted the dungeons but as they walked they seemed to get darker. It would probably be a good idea to turn down the way Sammy had suggested. She was certain the way they were going currently would get them no where.Kate looked at him cynically "Well aren't you just peachy"She said, moving in a bit closer to him as even though she had his jacket on she was cold and she wondered how on earth Sammy was not shivering. She might not look like she was worrying on the outside but on the inside she was panicking slightly.Soon Kate began to smell something. She began sniffing and she noticed the grin on Sammy's face as he looked back. "I think that's real food"She said her grin widening. They began to walk faster and as they did Kate heard noises and she could see a light. "I think we are here"She said as they turned one final corner and found themselves at the entrance to the kitchen.

Sorry for late reply

Sammy nodded and smiled slightly. Kate seemed pretty serious, but then her features softened and turned to more of a smile. The subject of strawberries was always a pleasent one for the Gryffindor, because they were his favourite fruit, and smell and they were great for hot days. Samual frowned slightly. "That's horrible!" He explained. Sammy didn't like cold places, but he went to England whenever he could so he could watch his brother play Quidditch, it was a lot of fun watching Jack play because he worked so hard at it, and even though Sammy didn't love how he'd hit bludgers at people, and the crowds would get a little violent and crazy, he still loved watching Quidditch, and since Jack was his own brother, he had to make sure he went to as many matches as he could so he could support him. Lucky for Sammy though, whenever he went to England, it had not been raining, so he thought that the weather was pretty good there, but obviously he'd been wrong, and he'd never been to Ireland, so he had no idea about the weather there. "Well no matter, atleast you can eat strawberries when you're here, or inside." He said, keeping his eyes forward so they didn't end up tripping over something. He had to admit, the dungeon was dark, but as far as his emerald eyes could see, it was quite clean, there weren't things lying all over the place, which was more than he could say for the Gryffindor common room, which was usually filled with people, or their things.

Sammy rolled his eyes slightly and poked his tongue out at Kate's reply. "I'm just saying. I have never really been down here, so we could be half way to China for all I know." Samual was quite confident that they were still in the area of the castle, but he was just trying to prove a point. He was lost, and with basically no sunlight to look to, so he had no idea where he was going, but it wasn't all bad. Atleast he wasn't down here alone, and atleast Kate wasn't crying now, that made him feel better atleast. Sammy chuckled slightly, that was a relief. "It's good to know I'm not insane." He replied happily, walking faster and seeing the light from the kitchen. Samual smiled brightly when his emerald eyes recognised the enterance to the kitchen. "Yeah!" He cheered happily, cupping his mouth when he realised how loud he had been, especially since his voice was echoing throughout the Dungeons. He really needed to keep an eye on his vocal exclaimations, because they could be pretty loud at times, and when in an echoy, enclosed area, probably wasn't the best thing to go about cheering and screaming everywhere. "Sorry 'bout that, anyway, let's go." He said happily, opening the door to the kitchens and entering, keeping the door open for Kate and allowing it to swing shut after Kate walked in.

It's horribly lame and empty, but meh.
