A Secret Celebration

[Caina Dante]

Caina had been planning something for Andrew's birthday for what seemed like that longest time. She knew his birthday was February 22. Surely she doubted he would want her to throw him a party. Getting his permission was just out of the question. Instead she was just going to throw a surprise party with all of his friends. The hard part was trying to remember all the people that he considered friends and even if Caina didn't care for them she knew she would have to invite them. For this day she would have to put her wants and likes aside for the sake of a brilliant party for Andrew.

Before stopping off at the lawn, Caina stopped at the kitchens. Already she had asked the house elves if they could prepare a few food items including just about every junk food that was available. Pumpkin pastries, Cookies, and so much more. There was also a fruit and veggie tray for those who like healthy items. As well as the all important birthday cake that read a simple 'happy birthday Andrew'.

Picking up all the food items, Caina made her way out to the lawn. Her outfit today was simple but she prayed that it stated notice me. How badly she wanted Andrew to notice her, notice her more than just a friend, a best friend. not today. Caina thought as she began to set up something simple. A huge blanket that would be used as a picnic blanket. The food was placed nicely on the blanket and a few balloons were placed about with weights on the end so they didn't just float away. "Perfect" she thought with a smile as she sat down awaiting the people to arrive. Of course Andrew wouldn't arrive until later for she told the others to show up at one and Andrew to show up at exactly one thirty.

 

[Isabella Chaos]

Isabella had received an owl from one of Andrew's best friends Caina, saying that she was going to throw him a surprise birthday party. Isabella had never spoken to Caina, but the fact that she was throwing Andrew a surprise birthday party made her okay in her books, and even if they didn't like each other they would just have to be civilized today for Andrew's sake. Taking advantage of the last of the summer weather, Isabella dressed in a blue summer dress, and did her hair in her signature curls with a blue headband to complete the look. In her hands she had a small box wrapped in shiny emerald wrapping paper for Andrew. Her first year after she had 'saved his life' at the lakefront, he had gotten her a diamond watch for Christmas which she still wore, so now she was sort of repaying him by getting him a pocket watch.

Isabella headed down to the lakefront at precisely one o'clock, she didn't want to be late, and saw Caina standing there with all the party decorations and stuff. "Hey," she greeted her with a small smile. "Did you need any help setting anything up?" she asked the older Slytherin, though as she looked around she noticed there wasn't really much else to do, everything seemed to be in place and ready for Andrew.

 

[Zazuka Getathorn]

Zazuka felt extra spacey the day of Andrew's birthday so when she got the letter inviting her Andrew's party surprise party Zazuka couldn't wait. She put on a lightly patterned sundress, she matched it with a light yellow crystal beads around her neck and wrists. Small yellow crystal stagtights hung from her ears. Zazuka's pitch black curls shone with a sort of glitter that she combed though it. A graish moony headband compleated the spacy effect she was trying to make with her hair. It was something that she thought she should mess with seeing as it was a special occation. That and she felt like she left her oddnes was a bit styfled by the school uniforms.

There where to girls there already when she showed up. "Hello Caina. How are you today?" She said pleasently. zazuka at times got the feeling that Caina didn't like her much. It was only natural because she used to date Andrew after all and the waives she was picking up for Caina regestered as more than friendly whenever she was around Anrew. She looked at the other girl for a moment. "Isabella, did what I said to you last time make any sence to you at last?" She asked. Her voice droped to sad yet kind level.

 

[Larissa Sedgwick]

Larissa felt she had to show up, having been invited to the party.
She slipped on a smart pair of black trousers and a thin white top.
Larissa walked to the great lawn where she had been instructed to go.

Her eyes immediately noticed someone.. Isabella Chaos- That glammy had been invited.
Larissa rolled her eyes and began walking around, seeing the food laid out.
She sat down on the grass and waited for Andrew- the boy she'd had a crush on in her first year.

 

[Theodore Snow]

Theodore had been extremely invited when he was invited to Andrew's Birthday party. theodore and Andrew wern't very close, in fact there barely exchange words other then a simple hello or small conversation during Quidditch. Then again Theodore wasn't going to be rude and not go. Andrew was a good Quidditch captaina nd derserved some respect from his team and housemates. So Theodore got dressed in some nice Clothes (ignore the hat), grabbed Andrew's gift that he had ordered by owl a few days prior and headed down to the Lakefront. When Theodore arrived at the Lakefront at the time that the invite said he looked around nervously, the only one he really knew at all was Isabella and the two of them hadn't been on best terms since their first year at Hogwarts.

"Hey guys." Theodore said calmly and hedld out Andrew's gift. Since Theodore didn't know him very well he bought some brand new Quidditch Robes and a sack full of candy from Honeyduke's. Looking around, Theodore slightly wondered if anyone else he knew had been invited. With a small sigh he brought his hand up to combed his blonde bangs away from his dark green eyes.

 

[Lexi Rodriguez]

Lexi was very nervous when she got a message that she was invited at Andrew's birthday. The last time she went to a party was a disaster, that's why she oath not to go to any of the party. But this is her friends birthday party and she was invited by his best friend. Lexi make up her mind, she stood up from her four poster bed and went to her wardrobe.

She pick a nice violet and black dress with black leggings, Lexi then went to pick a black doll shoes her father bought her. Lexi change into her dress and went to her vanity mirror, examining her body and her face. She would never ever going to put a makeup on her, "My face is better without a makeup." Lexi whispered under her breath.

She was now on the go to Andrew's party, it was at the lawn, when she got there Lexi's face went red as she saw Zazuka; Andrew's ex-girlfriend. Lexi sigh and went to greet them, "Hey, guys." Lexi smiled not faking it, she doesn't want the party begins with a disaster.

 

[Isabella Chaos]

No sooner had Isabella arrived than a few others began showing up, first Zazuka whom she used to be friendly with but ever since she had broken up with Andrew had sort of hated her for breaking her friend's heart. Though what she brought up made her forget any hard feelings for her. She remembered how Zazuka had consoled her for a loss about a month before her mother had actually passed away. Isabella's brown eyes glazed over as tears threatened to show and she shortly replied, "Yes, thanks." She didn't know why she had said thanks, well for the condolences, but she didn't want everyone knowing about it. Still, Isabella had vowed not to be mean or malicious anymore for her mother's sake so she nodded her head lightly, blinking away any hint of tears.

The next few party guests didn't seem to cheer Bella up either, a Goth Gang member, Lexi, and Theo, whom she still hadn't made up with since their first year. Still, this was Andrew's birthday and they were all going to try to get along for his sake. She could tell they all were. "So, where shall we put the gifts?" Isabella asked lightly with a small smile on her face, trying to break the silence or awkwardness between the group. Right now it might've felt tense or uncomfortable, but she knew that as soon as Andrew showed up they'd all warm up.

 

[Taylor Mercer]

Taylor had been invited to a surprise party for Andrew and was instantly greatful. She had been so bored lately, that maybe a party would liven up her life. Plus surprise parties were always fun.

What to buy Andrew had been difficult, because Taylor and Andrew werent extremely close friends but Taylor had settled on a gift bag of Honeydukes candy. Everyone loved candy right? It was hard to go wrong. Grabbing the gift from under her bed, Taylor made her way down to the Great Lawn.

Upon arrival Taylor wanted to groan when she saw Isabella, but she decided if she kept her head down and stayed away from the girl, this could still be a pleasent occation. Another glance around, informed Taylor that she knew no one there. There was Larissa, a girl from a few of Taylor's classes, but they had never really spoke. Taylor also recognised a boy she had spoken to in the Library ages ago. "Hey." She said quietly, with a small smile in greeting. Even if she didnt know them, there was no need to be rude.

 

[Sterling Staton]

Sterling was a little surprised to have recieved an invitation to the Slytherin co captain's birthday party. This Slytherin boy hadn't spoken much to Andrew a few words involving quidditch here and there. Now he was going to a party in which he doubted Quidditch would even be discussed. For once this young boy wondered who he would be speaking with. Who was there other than Ava that he had held a full conversation with. Other than his dorm mates in which he hadn't spoken much at all towards since the start of the year. With all these thoughts, Sterling was now determined to actually start socializing more. However he couldn't help but wonder if Ava was invited to the party as well. This thought made Sterling actually want to go to the party instead of finding the need to go. Either way he would have a decent or great time. At least he hoped so.

Walking out onto the lawn in his comfortable jeans and simple black tee shirt, Sterling held Andrew's gift in his pocket, a copy of Beating the Bludgers: A Study of Defensive Strategies in Quidditch - Kennilworthy Whisp. Truthfully he had no clue what to get the boy for he hadn't talked to Andrew about much other than Qudditch and Sterling wasn't even sure if Andrew had this book yet. But either way it was at least something to take to the party. "Hey Everyone" Sterling said wishing he knew most these people.

 

[Andromeda Fiorelli]

Andromeda had received the invitation for Andrews party and had smiled, she always had time for him and hoped that perhaps she would get to know his best friend a bit better this year. They had looked utterly adorable at the Yule Ball together and she had wondered then would they ever become more than bestfriends. As she made her way over to the group she smiled and waved at them.
"Hi Caina, birthday boy isn't here then?" she was glad she hadn't been the first and then she spotted Zuka, "thanks for inviting me I wouldn't have missed it for the world".
She told the Slytherin fourth year, "I'll go and mingle a bit before he comes".

"Hey Zuka, sorry I haven't had a chance to speak with you since we got back from the holidays. How've you been?"

 

[Caina Dante]

Caina was relieved to see that she didn't have to wait long before people started to arrive. First to arrive was Isabella a slytherin but a year younger than Caina. "Hello Isabella" She said flashing the young girl a smile. "No I think I've got everything. It's all simple" She said shrugging wondering if Caina should have set up something more, more interesting. Though it was a little late for that. Before long Zuka showed up, Andrew's ex girlfriend. For the longest time, Caina wasn't fond of this Ravenclaw girl. Yet how could Caina not like the girl who was always so nice to her. It's not like Andrew and Zuka are going to get back together Caina thought as she flashed a smile in the direction of Zuka. "Hello. I'm doing good. And you?" Caina asked seeing yet more people were already arriving.

A Second year slytherin girl and a slytherin third year boy came out onto the lawn. Both, Caina didn't know on more than first name terms if that. Yet this party wasn't about Caina it was about Andrew. "Hey guys." She said simply keeping that smile on her face. Even that smile stayed on her face as Lexi came to the party. Caina had nothing against Lexi but secretly she was a bit jealous of the girl. Maybe it was due to the fact that Lexi spent as much time with Andrew as Caina did. She did fear that maybe Lexi thought of Andrew more than just a friend. But Caina couldn't be sure.

"Well we can just place the gifts over there" Caina said motioning towards an open area closed to the oversized picnic blanket. "And thanks everyone for coming. It's going mean a lot to Andrew" She added running her hand through her hair as she notice even more people coming. Gosh Andrew had so many friends. In the last three people to show up the group consisted of Taylor, Sterling, and Andy. "No problem I couldn't leave you off the list" Caina said to Andy.

Looking at the small watch on her wrist she noted that Andrew should be there soon enough. Hopefully everything would be perfect for him when he did arrive.

 

[Megan Vine]

Mwgan made her way down to the lawn, the place the invatation said the get together for Andrews party would be. When she got there hers eyes widened, there were so many people there. The small girl took a deep breath and calmed herself, walking over to a blonde girl that seemed to have organised it.

Megan smoothed down her dress and looked up at the girl. "Umm, Hi?" Her voice was very quiet, she coughed and tried again. "Umm, are you the person who set this up?" Her voice returned to normal. For a second, Megs thought about running but she knew her mother would kill her if she didn't give him the cookies she had made for him. Her mother liked Andrew for helping Megan so she just couldn't walk out.

 

[Caina Dante]

Caina twirled a strand of her blonde hair for a moment as she looked around noting all the people that were there wondering who else was yet to show up and who she thought would skip out. Everyone seemed to be about here well until she heard a voice from behind her. "Oh hello" Caina said turning to face a young girl who seemed too shy for her own good.

"Yeah I'm the one that set this up. The name's Caina" She said trying to be nice. A friend of Andrew would be a friend of Caina or at least someone that Caina could put up with. "And your?" She asked. Her eyes looking up towards the castle. No sign of Andrew anywhere. When would he arrive. Surely Caina couldn't keep this party going without the birthday boy.

[Zazuka Getathorn]

Zazuka smiled a bit blankly as the people started to apper. It was quite astonishing how many friends Andrew had but then again this had been one of the resons that Zazuka had found Andrew so attractive in the first place. He was unusally kind for a Slytherin, this was saying something as she had been one of the few to talk to Slytherins and not get into any kind of trouble. Then again she could talk to anyone in a clam sarene way and not have them blow up at her. She knew a few and waived to them. It was only when Andy showed up that Zazuka got up and hugged her best friend. "Yes, we haven't gotten together exsept for class. It was reather funny how you reacted to two of our knew teachers." She said giggling in a non-irrataing way.

Zazuka lead Andy to the spot on the blankent she had been inhabeting then turned her attention towards Caina again. "I'm quite well thank you for asking. Thank you also for inviting me even though I am not your most favoret person in the world." She said with a light smile. "Hello Magen dear." She said her smile wideing. She knew the first year's name because she had to. It was her job as a Prefect. She was not here on offical business though.

 

[Andromeda Fiorelli]

Andy smiled at Caina as she told her that she couldn't very well leave her off the least. Andromeda simply remarked playfully that she would simply have had to crash the party if she had been before turning her attention to Zuka who led her to a blanket on the ground. Sitting down she looked about her, she knew a few of these students but mainly just to see. Andrew was quite the popular boy in his house it would seem she mused.

"Weren't they just oh my god lusciousness though?" she grinned to Zuka when the new professors were mentioned, "they'll never hold a candle to Professor Lloyd of course but cripes they come a very close second".

 

[Megan Vine]

Megan nodded. "Umm, Megan." She was about to ask where to put the cookies when someone said her name. She saw a taller girl with brown hair that she had never spoken to. "Umm, hello?"

Megan sat down where she was, on the grass, and said nothing more. She hoped Andrew would turn up soon, this many people unnerved her though she wasn't suprised that he had alot of friends, he was a very nice person.

 

[Andrew Bruke]

Andrew had received an owl from Caina asking him to meet her in the garden at 1.30. That was odd because Caina and Andrew rarely owled each other. He hoped everything was alright with her. Like he knew but didn't accept it to himself, he had been thinking about his best friend a lot lately and some thoughts involved much more then friendship. However he didn't want to waste time so he quickly got dressed in some good clothes because he didn't want to look stupid when Caina always looked so stunning.

He walked through the garden where the trees were shedding its leaves slowly. It was calm but as he took a few more steps he heard voices, many voices as if it was a gathering. He wondered what everyone was up to and if it were a secret. He curiously walked forward and arrived to the clearing and saw that many were gathered here. He knew all of them and he stood there shocked wanting to know what in the world was everyone up to.

 

[Lexi Rodriguez]

Lexi didn't bother to say hi to the new comers as she didn't know them. She was just silent along the corner, pretending she was invisible. How she hate surprise parties, her parents always do that and it always freaks her out. She sigh as the birthday boy arrived, she waited for everyone to greet him before her.

But she frowned when Andrew just stood there, dumbfounded. Is he freaking like me? or what? Lexi thought to herself.

 

[Caina Dante]

Caina had a pang of guilt when Zazuka had mentioned that Zazuka wasn't one of Caina's favorite people. That wasn't true exactly at least Caina didn't think it was true anymore. If Andrew was willing to talk with Zazuka after the break up Caina was willing to get over the little grudge and move on. Smiling at both her and Andy, her eyes turned to the young girl who introduced herself as Megan. Nodding her head slightly as to say that she took the name in.

Though before Caina could say another word, Andrew showed up looking confused. A wide smile spread across her face. She walked over to him embracing him in a hug. "Happy Birthday Andrew" She said releasing him from a hug and taking a few steps back. "You didn't think anyone could forget your birthday" Caina said hoping that Andrew was actually happy about her idea to throw him a surprise party.

 

[Andrew Bruke]

Andrew looked around at all the familiar faces. Zuka, Andy, Lexi, all Qudditch members, Taylor and even Megan were here. Is this the Valantine thing?? he thought stupidly and then scolded himself as he remembered that fourteenth of February was past. He saw Caina come forward and embrace him in a hug and wish him.Happy Birthday Andrew she had said with a smile.

This was when Andrew remebered that it was 22nd February today. His birthday. A day which most remembered but Andrew usually forgot due to his boring birthdays in the past.Yet, this one seemed fun. Caina was here smiling at him and so were all his friends. All here for his surprise birthday party.He didn't need any telling that Caina was behind all this.

"It was I who forgot" he said blushing slightly as he considered himself stupid for not knowing what had been going on behind his back. "Thank you all" he said with a smile at his friends. He didn't know how Caina had known that he knew all this people but he was happy to see them here.

 

[Zazuka Getathorn]

Zazuka pressed her hand to her mouth to keep from giggling more. "Of course. Professor Loyd we've known the longest and thank goodness you just confermed my suspision that I'm not the only one that thinks our Charms professor is something to look at. Though, I would say that Professor Spencer holds a close second." She said. Zazuka was about to lead Andy down her train of thought when Andrew made his appernece. Caina was the one who got up first and gave Andrew his birthday hug.

Zazuka shook her head making her glittery curls spray around her shoulders a bit. "Birthdays where never really big events for me either but still it's nice to know the day you where born." Zazuka said crypticly then smiled sunshine at him and Caina. "Wouldn't have missed it for the world. Actually it was Caina who called us all here." She said in a helpful sort of way. She looked at Lexi who seemed to be in need of a friendly smile.

Zazuka also smiled her friendlyest smile at Magan who seemed rather taken aback by all the people. "Don't worry dear I know all the lower year Ravenclaws by name and face. I'm a Prefect after all and have to know such things. If there is anything you need help with you can come and find me." She said hoping to make the younger girl's nearves ease abit. She knew what it was like to be unconfertable in front of people. Zazuka still hadn't forgetten how twitchy she was when she was a first year.

 

[Megan Vine]

Megan smiled as the tall girl said she was a prefect. "Oh, that makes more sense. Thank you." She thanked her for the offer of her help. Megan took a deep breath and went over to Andrew. "Happy birthday Andrew." She said, smiling widely, before giving him a hug around his waist, it was the highest point she could reach comfertably.

 

[Jacob Cooper]

Jacob had received an owl earlier that morning that he was supposed to attend Andrew's surprise birthday party.Jacob had been wondering what to get Andrew for the whole of last week and he had come up with nothing.When he had received his invitation he had decided that he would go and shop for Andrew's present with Andrew on their next Brighstone village trip.

The Jacob had tried to find something that he could wear and he had ended up wearing a white shirt and black trouserswith a matching black topcoat and tie.He had taken so much time in getting ready he was sure that he would be late.

He hurried out of the castle and onto the great lawns.Caina had told him where exactly the party was going to be and when Jake reached the place he realised that the surprise had already been revealed."Happy Birthday Andrew!"he told him thumping him on the back as he joined the group.

He recognised many faces in the guests.He knew Lexi,Larissa,Caina he had seen Zazuka Bones,Isabella Chaos,Taylor Mercer,Theodore Snow and Andromeda Fiorelli arround.However he didn't know the first year slytherin guy and rawenclaw girl at all.

 

[Andrew Bruke]

Andrew smiled, it looked like his cheeks would come down if he smiled more! "Thanks guys" he said with a smile at Zuka and was surprised when Megan hugged him seeing that she was short. "Thanks Megan. I am glad you are getting social" he whispered in her ear as he hugged back.

He noticed Jake coming towards them, Jake was late but he didnt mind. "Thanks Jake" he said with a smile. "Where is my gift?"he asked him playfullly.He felt very happy about this. Never in his life did he have a birthday party and this

 

[Henric Lee]

Many times he had first years gossiping about rumors of how wherever he stepped, ice would follow. He suspected it was some kind of joke because of his cold demeanor. Then again, those ponds did freeze, though it was probably due to the fact that it was Winter. Henric Lee appeared, silently as usual, hanging in the background even as he advanced, the way he liked it - out of sight. Striding forward, his boots making no sound as his cloak slithered forward along the ground, Henric canted his head to the side as he stopped a few paces away from Andrew. "Hey Cap'n." Henric greeted in the usual way he addressed Andrew, in the skies or not. "I do wonder why I got the invite." He commented in his polite, silky voice. "Here."

Holding up his hand, he threw Andrew a small wrapped package in the way he would pass a Quaffle.
