Taneaka smiled as she finished curling her hair with her wand. She had it in a side ponytail with her fringe down, half curled, half straightened. The woman stood up and looked into her full length mirror, running her hand over her torso. She was dressed in a long black dress and matching stilettos, looking as glamorous as ever.

Today was the day of her fortieth birthday and her masquerade ball. Taneaka looked over to the dresser where a photo of her and her husband was. She was upset that he couldn't make it, he was dead and she had grieved for him. It was her time now though, she was pregnant with his baby, two months now, and she was having a party. Today would be a good day for her.

Taneaka picked up her mask and put it on before walking down the stairs. It was about the right time for people to start arriving. She didn't really know how many people were coming, it was an open party after all, but she knew there was quite a few people, not including the childrens' friends.

Taneaka opened up the double doors to the house and made her way to the ballroom which was created, of course, by magic. It was done up magnificently and elegantly, exactly how Taneaka had imagined it. She smiled and nodded for the band to play. They were a traditional band for this kind of party. They played soft music, slow songs, fast songs, any song to be danced to. She had made the path to the ballroom very clear apparently as the first guests began to show up quickly. "Hello there, Thanks for coming."

Aaliyah smiled as she arrived at the house. There was word around the ministry of a nice ball that was open for anyone to attend, she thought it was a nice idea and her man was coming with her so she thought why not. She smoothed down her dress and checked her shoes weren't scruffed before holding her mask to her face and entering.

Aaliyah was to be meeting Chase here so she had arrived early, just to see what it was like. It seemed she was really early as the only people she could see was the host. She smiled and put the gift, a small bracelet with black hearts on it, on the table and joined the woman in the room. This place was magical, unlike anything she had been to before. Aaliyah loved it.

Adonia looked around nervously, smoothed down her dress and re-adjusted her mask before entering the house. Well, she could barely call it a house, her house was probably the size of one of the rooms in this house. She lead her present down on the table and entered the ball room.

Adonia wasn't here for fun, no matter how wonderful it looked, she had heard the girl she was looking for would be here. Adonia was here to meet her half-sister. Sydney Caine was her fathers daughter. When he had died, Adonia had wanted to find her but it seemed her family name had changed and once she found out what it was, the girls' mother had been brutally murdered.

Now Adonia was here, at the end of her quest, she was nervous. She didn't know anything about this girl, just that they had the same father. She didn't even know if the girl knew about her or her dads' other family. The blonde girl looked around for anyone that could resemble her sister at all but saw no-one.

Ailis had been really excited about the ball for days. It was really nice of Markov to invite her and her siblings to his mothers birthday ball, and she couldn't wait to introduce Aisling and Conor to him. Markov had stopped her being bullied so she thought that him and Conor at least would get on well. Aisling got on with pretty much everyone so she wasn't bothered about that.

She had taken Aisling by the hand and pretty much dragged her all the way there, despite her complaints of nearly falling over constantly. More slowly now, as to not get lost, she followed what appeared to be the marked out way to the ballroom where the party was meant to take place, now having let go of her sister's hand. At the door she stopped to make sure that her dress was alright and that her shoes hadn't caught her dress anywhere. She adjusted her mask and looked behind her to make sure her siblings were behind her before entering.

Once in the room she placed the carefully wrapped present containing a bracelet on the table which she assumed was where the presents were being put as there were other gifts already on it. She smiled at the woman she assumed must be Taneaka before continuing into the room and taking a proper look around the beautifully decorated room. She wished her house was like this or at least that she'd get to live in a house like this when she was older.

Sydney grinned as she ran down the stairs. It was times like these when she was glad she could run in heels. Of course, she had to hold up her dress so she wouldn't trip over, it was quite long after all. The blonde girl loved the idea of a masquerade ball, it was elegant and almost a fairy tale.

Sydney entered the ball room and grinned as widely as was possible. It was beautiful. She put on her mask and twirled her way into the room. She could see the night already, dancing with her male friends and chatting with the girls. Maybe she'd meet someone new, either way the night would be amazing.

Maia had just finished getting ready. She had spent the last three hours, doing her hair, fixing her make-up and preparing her outfit. She had heard about this party through the grapevine and her agent had thought it would be a good idea for her to attend. She took a deep breath, turned around and found herself outside a beautiful stately home. This must be where the Kalforovich's lived. She walked slowly forward, pulling her mask over her face. She entered the house, which was full with bustling and mingling guests-she knew Elizabeth would want someone here-to spy out what was going on with the celebrities fashion. Who knew-Elizabeth herself might be here, Maia wasn't sure if she'd be glad to see her assistant.

She saw a stunning woman welcoming guests-she must be Taneaka-Maia had heard of her-and what she'd heard was true-a beautiful woman, of impeccable taste. She stepped into the throng, ready to meet and greet. The guests were well-dressed and slightly intimidating, but Maia had dealt with people who were like that before, and more than often found them charming and likeable.

Markov straightened out his waist jacket and walked down the stairs. As he walked he was overtaken by a very excited Sydney. He laughed as she ran in her little heels and followed her down. He had to admit, his mum had done an amazing job with the decorating. His siblings and the other children were upstairs in the day care being looked after by various elves from the house.

Markov looked around as he stood there until he saw a familiar face, one that didn't live in his house anyway. Ailis had turned up. She was stood with two other people, he assumed were her siblings. The boy made his way over to say hello after he adjusted his mask.

Introductions

Teddy smoothed down his suit and adjusted his mask. He was waiting for Skyle to show up before he went inside. He had invited Angela too but he didn't know if she was coming or not.

Teddy heard from Alfie that she had stopped by to apologize, also heard Alfie was in his underwear at the time but that was just typical Alfie really. He hoped she would, he hoped she would come to the party and be happy and find someone new or something.

As Rue stepped out of her Mother's car, she smiled nervously back at her through the window. 'Mum, you can go now', she said quietly, grinning cheekily. Her Mother looked hurt, but she drove away reluctantly. Breathing a sigh of relief, Rue looked up at the big building where the party was taking place, and put on her mask. Her mother had insisted that she bought the most expensive one in the shop, and so she had taken it home, before digging out her old white one instead. She didn't want to look like the spoiled brat of the party. She didn't understand why her mother wanted to make sure she was the most 'beautiful' girl at the party. She obviously wouldn't be, but she was very pleased with her dress, which she had managed to pursuade to buy for her. Feeling rather excited, Rue lifted her dress as she hopped awkwardly up the steps to the door of the ballroom. Grinning, she entered through the huge door, smiling at people she didn't even know, which surprised her. Finally Rue seemed to be opening up and becoming a more confident person.

'Hi', she said to the birthday girl, shaking her hand gently as she looked her up and down. 'Happy birthday. I love your dress', Rue blushed, though she wasn't sure why, and so hurried into the room. Rue tapped her foot gently to the music, hoping she wouldn't be asked to dance - She had no practice whatsoever, and wasn't clever enough to have learnt a few moves before she had arrived. In fact, she had forgotten the time of the ball until her Mother reminded her, being the forgetful girl she was. She had been invited by her friend at durmstrang, who had some sort of relation to Tanakea, but she didn't recognize anybody. She nervously took a glass of something fizzy being handed out and sipped it, standing quietly in the corner of the room, glad to be out of the way.

Angela wasn't sure what had possessed her to go. it wasn't Teddy, and it wasn't Skyle; in fact, Angela wouldn't even speak with her. However, this feeling in her said it would be good. No one there would really know her, and she had dyed her hair back to red. She was sure having too much of the silver-blue color might have been an eyes sore. Angela did feel a bit prettier, now in a beautiful gown. She felt the material before putting on her tiara. Her red locks tousled down her shoulders, and her eyes were lined with some silver makeup, accenting the aqua orbs.

She slipped on her heels and left the area, on her own. She wasn't scared, the sun was still setting in the distance. She yawned though, it was going to be a long night. What would she even do? She knew how to dance, but would anyone dance with her? She sighed slightly, and upon arriving, slipped on her mask. She took a deep breath, and entered.

After months of being alone inside her penthouse, Solenn was getting really bored. It's been weeks since the last time she was seen roaming around the streets of New Zealand. It made her realize sometimes, on how she missed Beverly Hills and New York. The last news she heard about her family was that her mother bought a house in Manhattan. She kinda missed her old life, the pleasure and all the parties she was always invited. Peeking at the window as she stared at the different people passing by the street. The most boring part was, the last time Solenn shopped was about two weeks ago. It made her feel empty and quite blue. The day was the same like before and before it. She took a deep breath and wondered what to do today. Just then Solenn heard a small knock on her door, as she approached an open the door. There were no one waiting at all, she sigh and taught it was just some silly children.

The day after Solenn heard that there was going to be a masquerade ball, she adored parties as she loved dressing up. The party was near her neighborhood and she wondered if she could come, though she also heard that everyone was invited. Without even hesitating, Solenn stomed out of her penthouse and quickly change. She wanted to find a dress for the ball, she wanted something flowy at the same time elegant. Good thing she had enough money to buy a new dress, she search for a dress that fits her budget. Though Solenn was very much of a spender at times, she ended up buying a dress that was higher than her budget. She then quickly went home and decided to fix her hair first, followed by applying a little shimmer on her face. It's been a while since Solenn was seen this dressed, she surely missed it as well.

The dress fitted Solenn amazingly, it matches her hair and make up as well. Now the mask was the last thing on her mind that she forgot it, luckily she still had some old stuff her. Solenn then started to search through her old baggage. Luckily, she found an old box and inside it was a white masquerade mask that also complimented her dress. The mark was a gift by her former friend that courted her for years. She then wondered how was he. Putting the mask on and finishing the last touches. Solenn then went on and entered the ball room. It was very beautiful and the people seems to be friendly as well. She saw a lady older than her wearing a gorgeous dress as well. "Hello, You must be the celebrant?" she asked her quite nervous. Still she tried to smile and act her best.

Alfie was in a normal suit, just black with a white shirt and a black tie with a simple black mask. He had apparated with Teddy but had got away from him as soon as he could. He knew Teddy would just spend the night with his girlfriend and he didn't wanna be around that.

Alfie walked around for a bit, said happy birthday to Taneaka, chatted with Markov for a bit, before he noticed a familiar redhead in the corner. It was that Angela chick, the one that had slept over, waiting for Teddy. Alfie thought it was kinda funny that he never showed. The bloke walked up to her, making sure she didn't notice him and grinned. "Y'alright shorty?" He remembered how she had reacted to that the last time he said it.

Aisling had been practically dragged to the party by her younger sister, Ailis. Ailis was so excited about this party but to be honest Aisling didn't really understand why. She was stumbling all over the place in these shoes, and had know idea how her sister or any other girl managed to walk in the stupid things. Aisling had to hold on to her brother's arm just to keep her upright.

Aisling was dreading meeting whoever it was she had been dragged here to meet, she felt ridiculous and wasn't used to all the girly dressing-up stuff. Never the less she wasn't going to upset her sister by not going plus she might even make some friends here.

Finally Ailis let go of her and Aisling was able to make her own stumbled way through the enormous to, she assumed where the party was being held. She notice Ailis stop which gave her a little time to catch up once again. Once she had reached Ailis she smoothed down her dress as if it might make her look less ridiculous and made sure her mask was properly in place. Ailis then continued into the room so Aisling followed close behind wishing not to be left on her own.

Conor was happy that he finally got to meet the guy who had stopped his sister being bullied, he wanted to know what this guy was like. So he didn't mind that he hadn't been allowed to drink at all today and that he had to dress up. He wore a suit and a much simpler mask than either of his sisters.

The guy had to try so hard not to laugh at Aisling as she tottered around on heels, nearly going head over heels. He didn't imagine that, that would be the most elegant scene wearing what she was. He held out his arm as she held onto it tightly to help steady her whilst she was being dragged along.

He couldn't help but smile at his youngest sister's eagerness to get to this party. However her reasons for going, he thought, probably weren't quite what they should be. Conor knew for a fact that she was more interested in the fact that she'd get to introduce himself and Aisling to this guy, Markov, than that it was Taneaka's birthday.

The three had entered the house and Ailis had let go of Aisling and gone on in front. Conor stayed with Aisling making sure she was still standing and still trying hard not to laugh. Eventually they made it to a large, extravagantly decorated room and he had to stop with the girls before they could move on into the room. He noticed a woman on his way in that must be the woman who's birthday it was and smiled and nodded his head slightly in her direction.

Skyle was nervous but very excited at the same time. Teddy had invited her to this party and she really wanted to go, but Sky wasn't the girl to get all dressed up. So she had asked Nelly about it and she had insisted she go. Skyle had been trying to build up a relationship with her new 'mom' and it had been interesting to watch Nelly doll her up. The only issue had been a dress. Skyle didn't have the money for a expensive dress, but then she had remembered when she first met Damien it was almost time for the Yule Ball and he had bought her a nice dress against all her insisting not to. Unfortunately she hadn't gotten to wear it before dropping out of school. But it would come in handy now. Nelly had done her hair and makeup very simple, the mask would be the main focus on her face. Damien had also bought a nice necklace and earring set to go with her dress. She put these on and slipped into her heels. Nelly also got her to the party and after making sure she would be alright left.

Skyle looked around for Teddy as she put on her mask. She followed the flow of people and saw who must have been the birthday girl. She sat her small gift on the table with the others, Teddy had said she didn't have to but she had wanted to. Skyle found herself looking around at all the heads for Teddy, she wondered if Angela would show, she hoped so it might do her good to get out. She was thinking about Angela when she spotted Teddy and made her way over to him. Her thoughts quickly changed, wondering if he would like the dress. She blushed, they were already dating so she had no reason to be concerned but she was. "Hey Teddy."

Alexia was glad to be out for a night. Work had been overwhelming the past few weeks and it was nice to have a night just for fun. She had also invited her brother, she didn't think he would come but who knew. She had been invited by Taneaka, even though Alexia had only met her twice. She was still glad to make it, it was a masquerade ball and it sounded like it would be a fun time. So Alexia had gotten a dress and a mask just for the occasion. Shopping wasn't her favorite thing to do but she did like to look good. So she had and know she was at the party. There were a lot of people, more than Alexia had expected but the more people there the better in her opinion. It was a ball after all.

She walked up to the gift table and set her gift down, "Happy birthday." She said to the birthday girl walking around to socialize.

Alexander had been set on not going to this birthday party that Alexia had told him about. But he had realized that it would be the perfect place for his and Raven's first date. It was a public place and he was sure this was something Raven would like so he had called her and she had agreed to meet him here. So he had found himself a mask and put on a nice suit. He had plenty for work but he had decided to put on one of his nicer ones. He knew how his yellow eyes must have looked accented by the mask, pleased with his apprentice he had left to go to the party. It was very large but it didn't bother him. He just continued walking with the crowd, he nodded in the direction of the woman who must have been the birthday girl Taneaka. He then made his way to a less crowded area to wait for Raven to meet him.

Raven was so excited as she walked into the party looking for Alexander she was wearing her Black dress and shoes
along with her black mask she spotted Alexander and decided to walk up to him, "hey stranger" seh said, smiling at him not even having to hold her mask as she looked at him through the hole made for eyes which she hated absoulutly a lot along with the heels she was wearing.

So life had taken a rather big turn for Riley, it was for the better which was an unusual occurance for the young man at this point in his life. He had decided that he wanted to be able to spend more time with his family and with three jobs there was no chance of that happening. So the only option was to quite a job and seeing as the Professor job had been mostly for the money and because it took up the most of his time Rilwy had decided that it would be that job which would be the one to go. He was already freeling the stress lifting from his shoulders and he was loving the fact that he was able to see his wife and son on a daily basis.

However today he wasnt staying at home with the family, he was going out to a party. A friend of a friend sort of thing, but it seemed that everyone was invited so he was going as well. Riley had finished getting dressed and making himself look as smart as he thought was needed it was just time for the mask which he needed to wear for the event. He had never ctually worn one before but he was open to anything really.

Apperating to the place where the party was happening Riley put on the mask and walked in to the room. He was releaved to see that he was not the only person here and there were many people alrerady here. All in masks so he could not really see who was who but that would add to the fun, or at least he was hoping it would. He would just have to use his good old social skills to get things going.

So today was the day which Jared had been looking forward to. He had a job ready to go to and he was quite excited about it. This party was different thaan the ones he was used to and although tyhere was going to be someone else there playing to before him for thew formal part he was happy to be the one who would make the evening that much more fun and rocking.

Jared fixed his hair then picked up his usual red guitar and mask before apperating to the party. He had to hold his breath and close his eyes until he felt his feet touch solid ground again. He was not too good at apperating and often chose not to do it but it was too far away for another option so he just had to do it.

Once he arived at the location of the event Jared walked in, guitar in hand and mask on face. The rest of the equipment he would need was already here but he wanted to bring his guitar himself rather then leave it here before hand. Seeing everyone around Jared went and put his instrument down with his other stuff before heading back to where everyone else was hanging around.
