Anthony Blade had been looking forward to the Yule Ball ever since he and Clementine had made their relationship official. The two of them had been having a fun time together ever since, and things between the two were really good right now. He enjoyed the time he spent with her, and he hoped that they would be able to enjoy each others company for a long time. He had waited inside the Hufflepuff Common Room for her to be ready, and when he had laid eyes upon her his heart had skipped a beat. She looked beautiful, as always, but she was a thousand times more beautiful tonight. The two of them walked hand in hand together towards the Great Hall. It would be a fun night together.

Clementine was beyond ecstatic to go to the yule ball tonight with Anthony. It would be her first time going with a boyfriend and not just a friend like she had with Teddy, so tonight felt extra special. Because of that, she had fussed over what to wear which was somewhat unlike her, and she couldn't decide which dress to wear. In the end she had decided to go with a white dress since it reminded her of snow and even if it wasn't winter in New Zealand, the yule ball always reminded her of winter. When she walked out to the common room she beamed when she saw Anthony's matching suit and walked up to him. "You look great!" she said truthfully as she took his hand and the two of them walked to the great hall together. When they got to the ball, Clem smiled at all the decorations around them and turned to look at Anthony. "Are you ready to test out your dancing skills?" she asked playfully, knowing they had practiced before.

Anthony smiled at Clem as the two of them walked, he was excited for this Yule Ball most of all as he had not attended the one during his first and second year so the fact that he was spending this one with Clem made it extra extra special to him. "You look angelic, they might as well turn of all the lights in the room since you'll brighten everyone's night." He told her. He simply rolled his eyes at the thought of them dancing together as he remembered back to his mishap in the common room where the two of them had fallen over, thanks to himself of course. "Hopefully I don't fall over again." He told her. It would be a lot worse if he did it in front of everyone else, but he smiled at her. "Time to find out." He said with a half smile, and began leading her towards the dance floor.

Clementine chuckled at his compliment, it might have been cheesy but she liked it anyway. "That's so sweet!" she said appreciatively, smiling at him. She liked the idea of being the light in someone's life, or at least in the room. It was the perfect type of compliment that Clementine liked. She laughed again at the memory of Anthony falling over but shook her head. "You won't fall," she reassured him. At least she hoped not, but she wasn't going to show any doubt. She just hoped the songs would be slow enough for him not to trip up. Once they got to the dance floor, Clementine placed his hands where they belonged and then put her hand on his shoulder and they began to sway together. "We'll keep it simple for now," she lightly teased him, just enjoying being able to dance with him tonight.

Anthony nervously smiled as Clementine placed his hands in the correct spot and the two of them began to dance. He didn't want to embarass her in front of everyone - or at all for that matter. She looked so beautiful tonight, and he was more than certain that there would be a few eyes on her throughout the night as the two of them danced. He didn't have eyes for anyone other than her, and so throughout their dance he kept his eyes on her. He was mesmerised by her, and he hoped that this moment would never end. He frowned when the song did end and he was brought back to the present, but he quickly changed his frown to a smile. "Would you like a drink?" He asked her, and when she said yes he went off to fetch one for her. Tonight had been really fun so far and it had only just started! Anthony was looking forward to what the rest of the night would bring.

Clementine smiled encouragingly as the two of them danced together because Anthony was doing fine so far. The slow song ended and it was replaced by a faster one. She looked to Anthony to see if he felt confident enough to keep dancing but then he asked her for a drink. Clementine chuckled at his convenient excuse to leave but nodded her head anyway. "Thank you!" she yelled out after him as he took off toward the drinks table and she stood there waiting for him patiently.

With his best friend attending the yule ball with whatshisface, Thaddeus didn't feel like going at all this year. But after talking to Desislav about this, the older boy managed to convince him to still attend the ball and have a little bit of fun before the holidays would start.  Instead of looking proper for the event, his tie wasn't well tied and his hair was as messy as it ever was, but Thaddeus didn't really care about either one of them. He entered the Great Hall at some point during the night, and immediately walked towards the snack table. Whilst walking the boy kept his head low so that he wouldn't be seen my unwanted people. Unfortunately for him, because he hadn't really been paying attention where he was walking, he accidentally bumped into the person he tried so hard to avoid.

Anthony smiled at Clem as she called out after him to thank him. He knew that guys usually offered to get drinks for their girlfriends at dances like this, but even if he hadn't heard of something like that he would have done it anyway. Clementine deserved to be spoiled and treated like a princess. He finished filling up the drinks, but put them down for a second while he cleaned up a spill he had caused. Lucky he did as well, since the next thing he knew he was bumped into by someone else. He was a little bit annoyed when they didn't say anything, least of all apologise. "Careful there!" He told him kindly, and then grabbed the drinks, walking back to Clementine and handing her the drink.

Clementine fiddled with the locket around her neck as she waited for Anthony to return with their drinks. She figured instead of standing around on the dance floor she should get a table for them instead so they could drink and talk. As she turned to look for a table, she saw her best friend, Teddy, whom she had not hung out with in such a long time. Her eyes lit up and she wanted to go after him, but she hadn't realized he was headed straight for Anthony and the two actually bumped into each other. It was strange to see them interact because they didn't know who each of them was. Clementine walked over to them to introduce the two boys to each other but she could tell something was kind of off. She took the drink from Anthony, smiling a silent thanks and then looked over at her best friend. "Teddy!" she said brightly, reaching out to stop him from walking away. "Hey!" she greeted him happily. "I haven't seen you in so long!"

He hadn't really cared about walking into someone, but when the other person told him to be careful, the Gryffindor looked up. ''Sorry, dude.'' he said, not realising yet that it was whatshisface until moments later when Clementine stopped him from walking away from them. ''Hi, Clem..'' he said softly, not looking at his best friend or her boyfriend at all while she spoke. He didn't want to be here anymore, wanted to look for Desislav and tell him that it was a stupid idea for him to come and have fun, because he wasn't having fun at all. ''Yeah,'' Thaddeus replied, thinking of an excuse as to why the two of them hadn't seen much of each other this semester. ''I was eh.. I was busy playing football and drums..'' It had not been a complete lie, as that was what he'd been doing for most of the semester.

Anthony smiled at Clementine as she accepted the drink, but frowned when she spoke to the person who had minutes ago bumped into him. He looked at her with a smile, though, "Who's this?" He asked. He certainly couldn't be considered the type to be jealous of anything, but he was curious how she knew that man considering he didn't seem to be a fan of him as a person. But he didn't mind, he also wasn't the kind to hold a grudge. He held out his hand to the newcomer, Teddy, which he hoped wasn't his real name, "I'm Anthony, Clementine's boyfriend!" He said, introducing himself.

Clementine frowned when Teddy didn't completely look her in the eye and she felt hurt. She knew he didn't like her as more than a friend, but now it was as if he didn't want to be her friend at all. She bit her lip as she listened to his excuse and wanted to respond to it before Anthony asked who he was. She smiled up at Anthony as he introduced himself to the Gryffindor boy as her boyfriend, smiling shyly at the title. She cleared her throat and said, "Yes, this is my boyfriend Anthony, and this," she gestured toward the taller boy, "is my best friend Teddy." She didn't know if the title still applied at this point but she still referred to him as her best friend nonetheless. "I haven't seen him all semester," she explained. "But it's so good to see you now!" she beamed at the Gryffindor, wishing she could hug him.

Thaddeus didn't want Clementine to introduce the two boys to each other as he was probably never going to talk to whatshisface ever again. However, he did not want his friend to find out that he was actually jealous of her boyfriend. ''Like she said, I'm Teddy.'' he told Anthony while grabbing his hand and shaking it. He wanted to say that he was glad to see the girl again too but honestly couldn't. ''Well maybe you should come look for me then,'' he told her, perhaps more harshly than he wished to. Man did he wish that he could have Desislav around him right now to brighten up the mood.
