Solstice was in her favorite spot at school, underneath a large tree. It was where she went to think, and she loved being able to just sit and relax. It reminded her of several other places she had found while traveling with the clan. She had come out in an effort to clear her mind. She was trying to forget about earlier in the day, she had been horribly made fun of in front of everyone in the dinning room and she had run away. Solstice knew she was far to old to be hurt by things like this, but she felt some people here just wanted to make her life miserable. To top it all off she had no close friends to confide in, she had a few people she talked to and such but she would never pile all these thoughts on them, they just weren't that close. So she came to the tree, and it was here that she worked out her problems.

Ailis had been walking around the school aimlessly just looking at everything around her. The school was prettier than she had ever noticed before, not that she'd really been able to pay much attention to anything at her own leisure. In her wandering she came to a large tree, she wandered around it slowly running her hand across it's bark. As she walked she came across a girl sitting on the floor underneath the branches of the tree.

"Hello" Ailis said, greeting the girl. "May I sit here with you?" The girl looked as if she might need a friend and well Ailis needed them too.

Solstice never heard the girl come up behind her, but she wasn't one to jump at the site of another person like some. She asked if she could sit with her, she obviously didn't now she was an outcast, but she sounded sincere. "Sure." Solstice would be glad to have some company. It would help take her mind off things . She hoped maybe they would have something in common, a friend would be a miracle right now. "Hi I'm Solstice." She extended her hand over to the girl with a smile.

At the girls permission to sit with her Ailis took a seat on the floor next to her. "Solstice, that's a nice name. I'm Ailis." She replied offering her hand forward to the extended hand of this girl. Ailis smiled too, it would be nice to think that the two girls could be friends. Other than Sydney, she didn't really know any other girls in this school. Of course there were other girls here however she'd never really spoken to them at all.

To be able to have conversations with other girls would be great. Just to laugh and do stupid things or whatever, she could be herself and be happy. Not that she had a problem with the boys that were befriending her but it wasn't quiet the same as female interaction.

"This is a really beautiful place to sit isn't it?" Ailis said just properly taking in her surroundings. She'd never really noticed anything before, not the beauty, or the peacefulness or anything that was nice about the school. But now the bullies had been scared off by Markov she could take her own sweet time to look around and enjoy things.

Solstice watched as the girl sat down and introduced herself. "We both have very unique names." She said with a smile. Everyone loved to make fun of her name. She had been called a flower child and hippie several time before. But really those were all very incorrect she was a gypsy, by birth and by trade. She had the talent with music and tarots so it just seemed to fit. Although she did miss those days when she was young and normal living with her father and gypsy's were things of books and movies. She had adapted to live this life but it was a hard one at that.

Solstice answered Ailis's name with a twinkle in her eye, "It really is, there are only a few places like this and I've been fortunate enough to see quite a few. Traveling has its good side." She looked around at the sky the tree, it almost seemed there was magic in the air, and it was quite possible there was.

Ailis smiled back as Solstice said they both had unique names. "Yours more so than mine." Her full name Ailis-Naithi was pretty unique but Ailis was just the Irish for Alice and there were many people called Alice. However Ailis had never heard of anyone called Solstice before.

Ailis was curious when the girl said she had traveled, Ailis had only really been to Ireland where her parents had lived, here and New Zealand where her brother and sister now lived. "So you travel then? What's it like?" She asked her curiosity clear on her face.

Solstice nodded, Ailis was right she had never heard of anyone else named Solstice. Ailis asked about her traveling and she smiled. "It's great, you meet so many people and see so many great things." She thought of all the things she had seen. Wonder's of the world like the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben. The only thing she missed were stable friends. At school she was pretty much hated. But she did have Nobody. She had almost forgotten about her. Her best friend, but she really hadn't seen her in a while. They were always together when they were with the clan. She was a true sister to her even if they weren't related.

Ailis wondered what kind of places Solstice had seen. It must be great to see the world. "I'd love to travel, well except for the people side of things. Most people don't seem to like me much." Ailis said with a laugh that had a nervous edge to it. She had made friends here recently but there were still lots of people who if it wasn't for Markov would be happily making her school life hell. "What places have you been to?" Ailis asked her curiosity about travel growing.

Solstice smiled meekly at her comment, she knew how that felt. Everyone at school seemed to hate her. But when she left people loved her. She didn't know why but that was just the way things turned out she supposed. "I know the feeling, around here people hate me, but for some reason it's generally only the people here. But if it helps I don't hate you." She smiled at the girl "Oh, I've been lots of places. I've at least past through pretty much all of Europe. I've been to a few places in South America, Australia, New Zealand, America, Mexico." She smiled she did love traveling with the clan, it was fun. And it seemed like every few years they were somewhere new. "Never been to Canada or Africa though. Oh and Asia, never been there." She laughed a little she had never thought about it but she had seen quite a bit of the world and she was only 17.
