To say Teila was happy with where her life was at the moment was an understatement. Killian and herself had eloped and it was perhaps the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for her. Killian was always full of surprises, always wanting to impress Teila, and that was what she loved the most about him. He was now opening up his home to her and Dominic, and she needed to be prepared for their first day living under the same roof. She bustled away in the kitchen, making Dominic's favourite scones, which she was sure Killian and Marley would like as well. After all, it was her signature recipe and she had made it many times before in the orphanage. She also had other finger food prepared, including sandwiches, pumpkin pasties, and a fruit platter all packed into a suitcase which she had placed an extension charm on to fit everything inside. "How are you going with that card!?" Teila asked Dominic as she packed the scones into a plastic container. He was in the other room decorating a thank you card for them. "It's time to go now." She closed up the container of scones and put them into the suitcase.

Dominic was glad to be on break, away from the stresses of school. He wanted to make the most of it, especially since now he was going to be living with his best friend. When he found out that his mother and her father were getting married, he couldn't contain his excitement. Of course his mother wanted to throw a small party, and Dominic was keen to help her prepare for it. He initially wanted to help in the kitchen but figured it would be easiest to get out of her way, mostly because he didn't know what he was doing. Instead, he decided to help by decorating a thank you card for them. He had decorated it himself with glitter and gel markings, and he couldn't wait to see their reaction. "It's... almost done!" he exclaimed to his mother in the kitchen. He wrote a small message inside the card and placed some stickers on it as well, quite proud of his efforts.

Dear Marley and Killian (aka Dad):

THANK YOU for opening up your home to us. We cannot wait to see what the future years will bring by the sea.

Love,
Dominic and Teila

As his mother said it was time to go, Dominic pocketed the card and followed her outside after taking one last look back at their small home. He would miss the memories there, but it wasn't like they were there for very long anyway. They were now off to their next adventure. He took his mother's hand and they apparated to their new home by the sea. He ran ahead of her, making his way to the front door of their home and he waited for his mother to open the door. They went inside and began setting up the party whilst Marley and Killian were out. Dominic hung up a "Welcome Home" banner and his mother set up a table in the dining room with all of the food. Now all they had to do was wait for them to arrive.

While Marley missed school and seeing her friends, she was glad that she was on break. Her break had been fun! Marley was ecstatic to hear that her family was growing a little bigger and that her dad had finally married Teila. Which also meant she was going to be living with her best friend, Dominic. She had a feeling they were going to have the best time. Though Marley herself wasn't exactly sure when Teila and Dominic were officially going to be moving in.

Marley and her dad had been out for the day, they had gone out to grab some ice cream cake because she had been in the mood for some. They were making their way home and it wasn't long before they finally reached the house. Marley quickly ran up towards the front door, waiting for her dad to unlock the door, waddling at the door from side to side, as she needed to go to the bathroom. "Dadddd, c'monnn I need to go toliettt" Marley called out to her dad as she was trying her best to hold it in, as her dad had the keys to the house, unbeknownst that there were already people inside the house

Killian supposed he was never going to be too old for surprises. From another child when he'd adopted Marley, to somehow being married again, to a second child in Dominic. He'd been talking to the boys, and they'd be coming back for dinner when the kids were back for break. He was oddly nervous about it- all of his immediate family together under one roof. It was different than going to see his sisters and their kids. He shook his head, cake in hand, and followed Marley to the door. He would just focus on today, on the moment, on the familiar and warming feeling of the ring on his finger. He chuckled. "I'm right here," He reassured her, pulling the keys from his pocket and fumbling a bit with the lock. "Don't take too long, Teila and Dominic should be here soon,"
