A momentary break.

Moving swiftly into the small coffee-shop along a quiet side-street, Fiona removed her coat as she stepped towards an empty table near the back of the establishment. The table was perfect for viewing the entire shop, and the occupants within. With the recent death of her previous boss, Fiona, as with the other Aurors, was a little on edge. Ordering a cup of tea, the mother of one settled down in an attempt to relax. All Aurors where now trying to investigate the horrible murder, and their work-loads had increased significantly.

It had only been four days since the tragedy, and already the ministry was moving on; as if a death meant nothing to them. The Auror office had lost a good man, and the team had lost a good colleague. Watching the waitress bring her tea across, Fiona knew it was only time until another Auror met with their own fate. Smiling her thanks, the witch hoped she would have time for her drink. She would be required to return to the office shortly.
