Arthur ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. He ducked and dodged his way through the streets until finally, he came to a little park. He quickly hid behind a large tree, waiting and watching as a group of drenched older boys ran by. He giggled once they had disappeared from sight. He stood slowly, making sure they weren't returning, before turning and taking a look around. It was alright, and not too far from home- he could see his new house from here. It was just a little two bedroom place his mum had bought. She'd grown up here, and after going to school and spending most of his childhood in Ireland, he and his mother had finally returned to her childhood home. He stuck his hands in his pockets and walked over to a nearby swing, taking a seat. He was a little nervous about going to school here, he had to admit it. He had been homeschooled all of his life. He had never spent much time away from his mother. He watched his shoes as he swung gently. His new life would begin in just a few months.

Kas had taken to spending the Summer holidays roaming, trying to put as much distance between his parents and himself at any given time. Having found a little park, he was currently picking his way around some of the playground equipment, kicking up a trail of bark chips on the ground as he went. His lurking was interrupted when another kid sprinted into the park, ducking behind a nearby tree and hiding until a pack of old kids had run past looking distinctly murderous. Kas raised his eyebrows at the whole tableu, making his way over to the boy once the dust had settled.
"So what'd you do to them?" Kas asked, peering the direction the other boys had ran. The kid didn't look like much, but someone had to have done something to piss those guys off, and it didn't take a mastermind to figure out this kid was involved somehow.

Arthur looked up, startled to hear another voice. He studied the other boy a moment. He supposed he shouldn't be too surprised, it was a public park. He glanced back the way he'd come. The older boys hadn't returned, so that was good. He weighed the pros and cons of speaking to the other boy for a bit before deciding it couldn't hurt. "Turned on the sprinklers." He grinned. It had been simple, and way too tempting. They shouldn't have been wandering through such a big yard. He watched the other boy to see his reaction.

Kas watched the kid's face curiously, deciding he was way more interesting that wandering around here by himself, and smirked at the grin the other boy had as he spoke. Part of Kas wondered if it'd be more or less interesting if the other kids he'd soaked came back. "Simple, yet effective," He said, with a smile, trying to imagine the satisfaction of getting to see their faces right before the water hit. "Did they do anything to deserve it?" He asked, cautiously sitting next to the boy on a free swing. Actually swinging on a swing wasn't really Kas' style, but he could definitely loiter casually instead, hooking an arm around the chain to rest his chin on as he considered the other boy.

Arthur grinned. This boy seemed to understand. He snickered a little. The simplest tricks were the best, though he couldn't deny that the satisfaction of successfully pulling off something elaborate and complicated was really good too. He paused as the boy asked if the kids deserved it. He shrugged. "Walked too close." It wasn't his fault they were so close to the sprinklers. If you didn't want to get wet, you shouldn't be near things like that, right? It made sense to him.

Kas raised his eyebrows at the kid's response, but still grinned back at him. "Gutsy move, but fair enough," He laughed. "You're gotta a back up plan for next time?"Kas asked, leaning his cheek lightly against the chain of the swing, curious if the other boy had planned ahead. If the kid lived around here it was only a matter of time before those guys came back, and Kas was interested to see if this unassuming looking kid had any more tricks up his sleeve. Kas figured you could tell a lot about someone by how they planned to defend themselves. Or planned revenge.

Arthur smiled a little as the boy called him gutsy. It was a nice thought. He grinned as he asked about his back up plan. He pulled a small item from his pocket and showed it to the other boy. "Stink bomb. Throw it, run, find cover." He shrugged. He was small, but really quick. He'd yet to be caught, but it never hurt to be prepared. He stashed the bomb back in his pocket and held out his hand. "Arthurian."

Kas gave the stink bomb some consideration, nodding his head in appreciation for a moment. At least there was some evidence of forethought there. "I dunno if that'll be much deterrent, but you outran them once I guess," He kicked the ground absently, swaying a bit in thought. "I feel like it'd be more fun to use that in someone's mail box or something, assuming you know a good target," Kas picked at nails, glancing up at the boy as he introduced himself. "Kas." He said with a slow smile, return Arthurian's hand shake firmly.
