While Mallory understood that not every student was thrilled with her classes, and while she hardly expected every student to even like them, she still got the odd student that was a little more... rambunctious. She was heavily pregnant at this point, sitting in the comfortable chair at her desk, pleased that she could still wear some of the more stylish and comfortable wizarding robes without too much trouble. She'd simply braided her hair before settling in to wrap up her grading.

She was waiting for a student to stop by- one she'd noted had quite literally walked out of several of her classes. She knew she needed to handle it, even if she wasn't completely sure how the conversation would go. She sighed, setting the pages she was working on down, rubbing at her eyes. This would be easier if she wasn't so drained from the pregnancy. She set some tea to brew, hoping it would help clear her head.

Eurydice had sort of expected that she would have been called on by the Charms professor. Honestly, she's surprised it's taken this long. She'd walked out on the first class after being told to practice on dirty dishes which was just plain disgusting. She'd been surrounded by them and she hadn't wanted to stay in the classroom any longer than she had to. And then of course, there had been the Repello class where they were told to fling bugs around. Eury had no idea why it had to be bugs. Not when they could apparently repel books just fine. She hadn't walked out that time, but she'd plainly refused to go into the crevices of the garden to find bugs, come near them, and fling them. She didn't even want to go into the Garden. She hadn't even been working on her Herbology for Merlin's sake because she could stand handling dirt, so of course, bugs were out of the question. Not that the professors usually cared what students felt. And so, it was with no feelings of regret nor repent did Eury show up to the Charms professor's office. Knocking on the door and entering after a moment, "You called for me Professor?" she greeted as she walked in.

Mallory smiled at Eurydice as the girl came into the room, motioning to one of the chairs. "I did, thank you for coming. Please, sit." Mallory summoned over the tea, fixing herself a cup. "Tea? Cocoa?" She asked. Once that was settled, she folded her hands on the desk and gave the girl a gentle smile. "I'll get right to it- I wanted to check in and see how your independent studies are coming." Mallory offered easily.

"While I can't assign you an O for walking out of class, I'm not going to take any points or punish you. Every child learns in their own way- as long as you're still learning the spells, that's whats important to me." She sipped her tea. "Although in the future, perhaps it would be better to bring your concerns to your Professors instead of just leaving class. I'm more than willing to work with you on your terms, Eurydice, but I need you to meet me in the middle."

Eurydice wondered for how long the professor would keep up the smiling act. She already knew she was in trouble but Eury was willing to pretend otherwise for as long as the professor would. "Tea, please," she said as she sat down on one of the chairs. She took the offered beverage as was polite to do so and waited for the interrogation or scolding to begin. Interrogation first it was, it seemed. Independent studies was an interesting way of putting it but Eury just took a sip of the tea. It was alright she supposed. "Good, Tizi-nii thinks I have Scourgify down pat. We're still practicing Repello," she explained. She didn't know if the Charms professor had any idea that Tizi-nii was Tiziano the Librarian, but Eury didn't explain anyway. Nor the fact that the Librarian was her brother. She listened quietly and was quite suprised that she wouldn't be losing points nor getting punishment, though it did make her wary. There was always something. Still, it was perhaps better to be honest. "It was disgusting," she said, frown on her face and a scrunch on her nose and forehead as she remembered the first lesson of the year. And then the previous one they had. "The dishes. And the bugs," she said. There were a lot of things Eurydice found unpleasant - she grew up in luxury after all - and there were things she found intolerant. Her dirty dishes, she wouldn't mind scourgifying. Her family's dirty dishes, she would consider it. Unknown people's? Absolutely not. And bugs. No. Just no. "I don't want to have to stay around for disgusting things."

Mallory hummed, listening to what the girl had to say. She had suspected as much. Every few years she had a student like this. "Well, I'm glad you're practicing outside of class. As long as you do well in your exams, I won't take any extra actions." She smiled at the girl. "I completely understand your hesitation. While I would have rathered you'd just come to me, all I care for is that you're still learning the work." She set her tea down. "If you feel the need to leave class again, I won't keep you, but please do stop and ask to leave first." She considered what she wanted to say, but that did just about cover everything. She went over lesson plans in her mind, but she didn't have any off the top of her head that would bring more issues in the future.
