Vivian felt like he had become an entirely different person over the last few months. He had always been timid, even as a child, but after stepping out of Tristan's imposed cage of silence, Vivian felt anything but timid. He felt... free. Confident. Refreshed. So many of the ways he had been hiding himself away all felt pointless now... Vivian could just be who he wanted and do what he wanted. And what he was finding he wanted more and more, was to play the piano. He had always enjoyed music, found it cathartic and satisfying, but this year it had become a release. He had begun setting his poems to music, finally feeling as though he had found a fitting home for the years of love and hurt he had poured onto the page while dating Tristan. Vivian didn't often sing aloud, just running through the words in his head, but the arts room was empty today, and after so many years of being quiet Vivian was ready to be loud. His low, smooth voice filled the arts room as he sang along with the piano, purging the words from his system at last. He finally felt free, and calm, and in control.

Sapphire was looking for Onyx. Not that she knew why. She just... Felt like company. She sighed as she failed to find him yet again. She else could the boy be? She decided to try the arts room, but she knew as she drew near he wasn't there. She could hear a voice singing, sweet and beautiful and full of emotion. She leaned against the doorway and listened. She didn't know the boy playing. When it seemed he had finished, she spoke. "That was beautiful." She told him, foot crossed across the other and hands in her pockets.

The arts room was rarely empty for long, but Vivian still found himself surprised not to be alone any longer. He looked over at the sound of the girl's voice, face flushing slightly as he realised he didn't know how long he had had an audience. Vivian had never really known what to do with himself when he was being observed, and though he was rediscovering himself, discovering that it was okay for people to know who he was, Vivian still felt a bit out of his depth. He sat up a bit straighter, withdrawing his hands from the keys quickly. "Thanks..." He said softly, looking the girl over. She was younger, certainly, and he didn't think they had spoken before. "Did you need the room?" He asked, not wanting to disrupt any plans she may have had.
