Victoria sat on the window sill of the huge arched window of the Western Tower of the Durmstrang Castle.From there she could see the entire grounds which were covered in snow,the frozen lake and the treetops of the forest which were capped with snow.The View was breath taking and it always made her think about how big the universe was and how tiny and insignificant She was.It wasn't a happy thought or a sad thought.It was just a fact.
In the Winter the western part of the castle was the coldest because of the big windows without glass.They let in all the chilly winds of the winter and it wasn't an ideal place to be during such weather.Most students who stayed behind for the holidays stayed in the common rooms warming themselves by the fire and reading or sleeping.Such activities made Victoria think of hibernating animals.But Victoria didn't like to be enclosed within walls in any season.
So when she felt like there would be no one on this side of the castle she took her guitar and set off to this tower.Victoria liked playing her guitar and writing songs that reflected her mood.It helped her cheer up because music was always a distraction from a bad mood.Sometimes she just played songs of her favourite singers and sang to herself.She didn't have a very good voice but she knew the songs by heart and loved to sing to herself.
Today she couldn't think of any words that would express how she was feeling.So instead she played Taylor Swift songs and sang the lyrics loudly so that she could lift the silence in the ground that seemed to have settled since so long.She hadn't used her voice for such a long time that it felt wierd to listen to herself but soon she was in a merry mood and was singing cheerfully the lyrics of her favourite song Love Story.
