A Le Fevre Christmas

Christina sat in her room, cuddling a pale blue teddy bear.
Outside, the sky was dark and grey and the ground had a neat blanket of snow.
It was 6am. Christina wanted to play outside but she couldn't if her mother wasn't awake and she could only wake her at 6:30.
To a four year old, 6:30 takes a long time to happen and when it eventually did, Christina sprung from her bed and ran to her mother's room.
"Maman, Maman!" She shouted, her French accent more obvious when she spoke in her mother tongue.
"La neige is falling!" The snow was indeed falling.
Christina often spoke french around her mother because there was a small chance they might return there one day.
