With the holidays finally here Aiden thought that he would have some time to enjoy himself away from school and before his final year started. Although no sooner had the holidays started did things start to take a turn for the worse. Aiden had only returned back to Hogwarts New Zealand because his father had taken ill and he had been advised to have his family closer. Even though Aiden would be in school it would means he was a lot closer than Durmstrang. Giselle had to have a nanny hired to look after her as her father’s health started to decrease more and more with each passing day. Finally, on July 18th 2026, Gaspard Lorka took his last breath. The few days after that had been a blur to Aiden Lorka. He was now technically the oldest in the family, bar his cousins who had come to stay with him for a few days to help out with funeral arrangements and such. The funeral took place on the 20th, never before did Aiden think that he would shed a tear where his father was concerned, heck he had hated the man for most of his life and now that he was dead he thought that he would be happy now that the wretched man was out of his life forever but Aiden had a feeling that the tears he shed was very little to do with his father dying. The day after Gaspard died Officials had come to Aidens door informing him that while he was of the legal age he was still in school and with no form of income, they had to take Giselle away with them to an adoption agency. Aiden had been outraged, Giselle was the only person he loved in this damned family and she was getting taken away from him.

Giselle had been allowed to pack up her necessities and had to leave almost straight away. The young girl didn’t completely understand what was happening, she barely understood that her daddy had died. As Aiden hugged his little sister goodbye he promised that he would see her again in a few days for the funeral. Once she had left Aiden had confined himself in his room until he had to come out for the funeral. When that day arrived though he was a mess. He had sneaked Gaspard’s secret stash of alcohol, firewhiskey, muggle scotch anything he could get his hands on really. It took his cousins a while to get him somewhat decent for the funeral. The day had dragged in at a numbly boring rate. People came and went giving Aiden their condolences. Aiden knew for a fact that Gaspard didn’t like many people and in return, people didn’t like Gaspard so Aiden was sceptical to acknowledge any of the words as he took them to be fake and just for show. Near the end of the day Aiden finally broke when Giselle had to be taken away again, he hugged his little sister as tightly as possible. When she was taken away Aiden couldn’t bear to even be around people anymore, he knew that they only had his best intentions at heart and wanted to help him but he honestly couldn’t care anymore. Going up to his room he grabbed the few bottles of alcohol he had left and apparated to the first person that crossed his mind. Standing outside an apartment Aiden knocked loudly on the door. For someone to look at him they would know right away that something was wrong, his eyes were red with crying so much, his good suit was messy and his tie and top button undone and he smelled of alcohol.

Miriah sat sprawled out on one of the couches inside the Apartment that she, her sister Hadan, and Alyssa Snow all shared whenever they were off School for the Holidays and needed someplace to stay other than their parents or whomever's. However both of her roommates were currently out and about with their boyfriends. Actually her first guess was that they were next door canoodling with Raff and Vincent like they usually did. Sometimes it disgusted her to see the two of them so happy and in love. And other times it consumed her with unhinted jealousy. To her it was a little unfair that they had someone to cuddle with, care for them, and even spend the night with whenever they needed someone to be there for them. Whenever they went off with their boyfriends they left her alone at the Apartment to wallow in her her own misery until they came back. With a soft shake of her head Miriah stuck her hand back over to the plate of Cauldron Cakes that she had been slowly snacking on for little over an hour now. One of her deepest indulgences was junk food and lots of it. When she was at school and around others that were not close to her she liked for it to appear that she was one of those girls that ate super healthy because eating as much junk food as she did couldn't be healthy. It also made her appear more like Hadan, the perfect one. And that was what she was going for. Stop living in her sisters Shadow for once and finally be out in her own light. A small sigh escaped Miriah before she took another bite of the sweetened cake and turned her ruby eyes back onto the Television that she had recently come into a comfortable understanding with. When they first got the thing she did not know how to work very well plus she was always afraid it was going to suck out her brain or something. But after many times of being ditched by her roommates she was forced to actually try and worked the damned thing a little. Whatever was on the Television right now though did a really bad job at keeping her interested. Something called the Notebook or whatever the movie was called, it didn't make sense to her at all though. Why would someone write a letter every day for a year. What the hell could you write about for a year if the other person didn't write back?! Obviously that man was just that much of a creepy loser. 'I wouldn't have taken her back either after she did all of that..what a b!tch.' Once again Miriah found herself just wishing that romance and tragedy's of this earth would just die a most painful death. Another bite into a cauldron Cake and suddenly the brunette felt full and tired of trying to use junk food and the Television to cure her boredom. Turning the thing off Miriah sigh and stood up from the couch. Right now sounded like a really good time to get a good book, take a long bubble bath, then crawl into bed and read it until she had fallen asleep. It didn't look like either of her roommates were going to be home anytime soon so she might as well not bother to try and stay up for them.

Just as she was about to head away from the couch she heard a loud knock at the door. The fairly dim lights that were on the apartment made it almost hard for her to pear at the door but she managed. When the loud knocking persisted she rolled her eyes and pulled her hoodie closer to her thin and slightly fit body. Right now she was wearing her PJ's which only consisted of some fairly short shorts, a tank top, and a hoodie. She would have normally worn some boots around the house in an attempt to keep her feet warm but didn't seem the point when she was about to head in for a bubble bath and into her soft and warm bed in a few minute's. With a small grumble Miriah walked over to the door and opened it ever so carefully. But when it was fully opened and her ruby eyes met with a beautiful blue she froze and jumped backwards a little. Immediately her hands went to grip the front of her hoodie closed to the face would not be able to see her indecent in only a tank top. Too bad she was still wearing those blasted shorts. "A-Aiden? What the hell are you doing here at..."Miriah paused to look at the clock for a moment. "At 11PM? And er...are you..okay?" First of all Miriah would just love to know how the hell he knew where she lived and why he was even over here at this hour to begin but she took one look at his face and his clothing and she knew something was up. He even smelled of alcohol. As much as they had their fights and differences they had made a pact some time ago and that meant she was allowed to show that she was indeed worried about him. Her ruby eyes glanced around the hall around him before she weighed over the idea of letting him in or not. She would have to wait and see if he was even able to talk and whatnot. But he looked unwell and really upset.

Aiden had no idea where he was, he didn’t even know how he was able to apparate here, wherever here was, without knowing the destination. Wasn’t that one of the three D’s, Destination, Determination and Deliberation, she said in a mocking tone to himself, scrunching up his face to resemble that of an old teacher. Nothing like the woman from the Ministry that had actually taught them how to apparate, heck Aiden thought she was actually kind of hot and if she wasn’t trying to teach him something he may have tried to appreciate her looks below those Ministry robes...he didn’t have any time for teachers really, in any shape or form. Aiden took another swig of one of the bottles that he had in his hands. All the drinks were starting to taste the same now so that he didn’t even know what he was drinking anymore, he didn’t care either for it was helping to hide the hurt that he had inside that he was determined to keep in because he was the ‘man of the house’ now and had to remain strong. The only problem was, there was no one to remain strong for. The only person he ever tried to remain strong for was gone now, taken from him below his very nose and there was nothing he could do about it. He had contemplated leaving school so he could be able to take of Giselle full time but he was told that wouldn’t help his case at all as he would be a school dropout, with no grades and no job so he had no form of an income to support himself and a minor. Why did everything have to go wrong for him? Was he really that bad of a person that the World decided to throw him all of this crap in one go. He never actually thought that he’d be sad to see his father die but because of him dying Aiden was going to lose Giselle and that the worst thing right now.

Aiden continued to bang and the door until his fist didn’t make contact with it anymore. Seeing a pair of bare feet and hearing a familiar voice Aiden looked up to see a familiar pair of ruby eyes. He had only ever seen three people in his whole life with eyes such a colour and two of those people he didn’t know well enough to immediately think off when he saw red eyes. Sure they were all red but he had looked into these ones specifically so many times that he could pick them out in a crowd of a million red eyed beauties. Aiden’s face scrunched up in slight confusion, he wasn’t sure how he had ended up here but he was slowing starting to feel relieved that he had apparated too Miriah’s door compared to anyone else’s. While the pair had had their ups and downs for the past three years or more but as of late they had started to get on and dare he even say it they were on the verge of becoming friends? He didn’t know but he did know that Miriah was the only stable person in his life for the past three years and while pretty much all of their encounters hadn’t been that of a friendly nature she was someone who was always there. Aiden heard Miriah shouting at him but he just shook his head, he didn’t know what to say and he definitely wasn’t okay. Shuffling on into the apartment without a word he somehow found the couch and flopped himself down on it. Slamming his bottles onto the coffee table he looked up at Miriah, fresh tears starting to fall down his face. “No I’m not okay! That bastard..” he started off before he hiccupped, “That bastard went and died and they took her away on me, they took her away Miriah.” he said as he buried his head in his hands and started to cry again.

It almost seemed like she was in a really bad dream right now as she stood there looking at Aiden , he looked like he was a complete mess right now. Miriah nervously watched as he shook his head at her before he shuffled into the apartment and made his way over to the couch. ”Sure, you can come in.” She muttered sarcastically when she realized that he had yet to even bother asking her if it was okay for him to come in and unburden himself here. Of course she realized that he needed someone to comfort him but she was worried about Alyssa and Hadan coming home and seeing him looking like this. It would not only demolish his pride but since neither of them liked him they probably wouldn’t hesitate to make his life a living hell. Shaking her own head softly she closed the door to the Apartment carefully and walked over to the couch where Aiden had flopped himself down then proceeded to slam his drink down onto the table. When she figured that he was drunk or something she didn’t think he was actually bad to the point where he would bring it with him. What had happened that would make him this upset? The only thing Miriah could and really wanted to do right now was fix his mood and maybe keep the drinks away from him so he wasn’t eager to drink some more. She didn’t know how to handle drunk people, they kind of acted like zombies without brains sometimes. The ruby eyed beauty froze immediately when she saw that Aiden was looking up at her and he was…crying? For a fraction of a second she almost wanted to laugh and make as much fun as she could while it lasted, but then the softer side of hers kicked in and she felt her heart kind of breaking by just looking at him. Never ever had she expected to see Aiden Lorka crying right in front of her. Looking down at the bottle of alcohol that he had brought with him Miriah picked it up gingerly. She wasn’t one to normally drink a lot as she was a bit of a lightweight, but she did have the occasional drink or two. Miriah opened the cap and inhaled the scent of whatever that was. It was strong but unfamiliar to her. With a small shrug of her shoulders she tried a bit. The moment the alcohol hit her lips Miriah should have known better, she really should have. It never took much for her to reach her limit. It tasted pretty good too so another sip was soon under way. Then she heard Aiden talk about what happened and her mouth fell open.

”Sh*t. They..took away little Giselle? Oh my god Aiden….” Miriah knew one thing and that was that he had always disliked his dad a lot. But his little sister Giselle was someone he really cared about. She only this because of the years of knowing Aiden. The boy would probably be surprised with what she remember about him. Miriah went off into another room and brought out a thin blanket for Aiden as well as a box of tissues. She set the tissues down on the table in front of him before she set the blanket and herself down onto the couch. She knew that this must be hard for him so she was willing to comfort him. Every once and awhile she would take a drink too, which was probably her worst mistake. It wasn’t until her head felt a little cloudy that she knew she really needed to try and comfort Aiden. ”Aiden…why did you come here though? I mean, there’s not anything I can do to help is there?” Miriah asked him gently. Every so often her eyes would shift around. He must feel so hurt and broken right now. It hurt to see him cry. Pain in her butt or not she didn’t like seeing this side of Aiden one bit. But what could she do to make this right at all? Her ruby eyes gleamed at Aiden in the dim light of the room, it was almost a calm atmosphere until he showed up.

It never crossed Aiden’s mind that he should ask Miriah if he could enter her flat and sit on her couch, he really wasn’t in the mood for playing nice tonight. He had been playing nice all day and for the past few days on the run up to his father’s funeral but seeing Giselle leave today and standing at the door to her empty bedroom it finally broke him. He hadn’t shed a proper tear since his mother died years ago, even at a young age he had wished it was his father that had died instead of his mother, no one liked Gaspard; well Giselle did but that was just down to the innocence of her age and that she hadn’t experienced what her father was really like and now she wouldn’t have too, thankfully. Also, Gaspard had been smart and never let Giselle see him in a light that would make her dislike him. Aiden always thought that was sneaky and tried to catch him out when he could but never did find the right opportunity, plus with Giselle living with him all year and with Aiden at school the older man had more time to ‘brainwash’ the younger girl. Aiden hated the man so much and while it wasn’t a nice thing to say or even think he was glad he was dead. He was such an evil man and Aiden was often surprised that he wasn’t a Death Eater with some of his views on things and people. He also hated him more than anything that he cheated on Aiden’s mother. Aiden loved his mother more than anything and to think that man cheated on her, well he could never look at him in the face again after that unless he was shouting at him; plus that affair brought Joceline into the World and Aiden despised his half sister almost as much as he despised Gaspard. As he sat on Miriah’s couch he let all these thoughts come rushing back to him, it had been so long since he thought of most of them he was surprised he even remembered them. He had had hated Gaspard for so long that he didn’t even have to think as to why he hated his father - he just did. Feeling his tears stroll down his cheeks he just sat there and cried for a moment, not even realising that Miriah had taken some of his alcohol – not that he minded though but if he had he would have questioned her, not knowing her for being a drinker. For some reason he couldn’t cry at home, around his family but even stranger – he was able to do it here in front of Miriah. This was only the second time in his life that he was able to be open to her and this was in a fragile state that hardly anyone ever saw him in because he never cried, even around anyone. He didn’t know why he was able to open up around Miriah but in his current state he was in no shape to question it or think about it so he just went with it.

Aiden sobbed a bit more as his nodded his head. He was glad that Miriah seemed to at least show some concern for Aiden as his whole family were looking out for Giselle’s best intentions at heart. He was out raged that his family didn’t once think that Aiden didn’t have Giselle’s best intentions at heart, that was all he cared about. He knew Giselle didn’t want to leave him or her home, especially not to be put up for adoption. For Giselle to be adopted and put in a whole new family...well, Aiden just didn’t want to think about how the little girl was going to cope. He thought it was a stupid idea anyway. Giselle would be starting school in September and would only have to go home for the holidays. She could start at the school during the Christmas holidays and then when summer came Aiden would have graduated by then and would be able to look after his younger sister full time, sure he would have to find a job but how hard would that be, really? He didn’t notice that Miriah had left his side until he felt a blanket land near him, looking up he also saw a box of tissues on the table beside his alcohol. With a heavy sigh he took a handful for the tissues and dried his face as he cleared away the remainder of his tears, he was done crying now. At Miriah’s question he shrugged his shoulders. He still didn’t know how he ended up at Miriah’s door. “I don’t know. I had to get away from my family and you’re the only friend I have.” He told her, he didn’t make friends too easily and despite the fact it took them three years to get on good terms he was glad he had Miriah as a friend. “I’m sorry if I’m burdening you Miriah, I’ll just go. I just needed someone to talk to outside of my family that are pushing all this crap on me.” he said as he pushed himself to get before quickly losing his balance and falling back down.

Miriah watched Aiden as he did a heavy sigh and took a handful of the tissues and dried his face to clear way the remainder of his tears. He seemed like he was finished crying but that still didn’t mean he was well enough to go anywhere or be considered okay. He had lost his father and his little sister all at the same time and that was probably more rough on him then he was probably willing to ever admit to Miriah. She remembered that he and his father never really saw eye to eye so he probably wasn’t as choked up about him as he was everything else. But one person she knew he seemed to hold close was his youngest sister Giselle. What would happen to Joceline as well? A part of Miriah couldn’t help but he worried for the younger Slytherin she had met and taken a liking to after meeting her in the hallway the other day. Hopefully everything went okay for them because Miriah couldn’t really do much to help other than comfort Aiden until he was okay enough to go home. If it had really meant that much to him Miriah was almost tempted to find a way to adopt Giselle herself just so the little girl would have an excuse to see her brother and such. But it wasn’t possible since she didn’t really have much of an outcome, she had some but not enough to support a little girl or anything. If only there was a way to fix all of this for him. Sure Aiden was probably the biggest prick in the world and such, but not even he deserved to have to suffer through this alone. Miriah took another drink of whatever it was that he had brought with him before she crossed her legs and stared down at the bottle. She was half out of it was he started to speak again. His words did a really good job at knocking her back out of her own thoughts. She was the only friend he had? Since the alcohol by this point had already taken a lot of her common sense down the drain she was almost flattered. ”For some reason I was under the impression that you hated me.” Miriah muttered softly as she shifted a little and turned more to look at Aiden. It surprised her that he considered her as a friend when he fought with her and seemed to try his absolute hardest to make her miserable. Miriah took another drink and let her back rest against the arm of the couch lazily. After awhile of silence Miriah realized that no thought really came to her. At least none that were all that smart. ’I think…I drank to much.’ Miriah thought to herself as she sighed and rubbed her stomach through the thin tank top she was currently wearing. The insides of her stomach were churning due to the fact that the alcohol wasn’t settling as well as she would have hoped.

Aiden apologized to Miriah if he was burdening her and that he would leave, he just needed someone to talk to. The brunette sat herself up a little and looked at Aiden as if he were crazy. If he was bothering her she would have smacked him and told him to get out, he was actually treating her like a human being for once. She knew that if she let him go now he was going to leave and come their Seventh Year they were going to do nothing but fight and act like none on of this ever happened. But before she could voice that she wanted him to stay he lost his balance and fell back down. The ruby eyed beauty bit her lip gently as she stared at him, she was drunk and felt such an amount of sympathy for him right now. Of course she was feeling and thinking a lot more but she was probably too out of it to even arrange her works correctly. Though she wasn’t sure why, Miriah found it almost like she wanted to be closer to him. Make him feel better because she couldn’t help him in any other way. With a quick sigh she crawled over to him so that she was pretty sitting next to him. ”Aiden…I um. I’m sorry. I can‘t even begin to understand how you feel but …your not alone.” She commented softly to him. She had the sudden urge to do something completely stupid but she was trying to resist it. Even in her drunk state she knew better…or at least she thought she did. The alcohol made her desire Aiden. It made her want to just be close to him and not let him leave. She knew she shouldn’t do it, she wasn’t going to be another one of his mistakes to be tossed aside. But she just couldn’t control her mind and her actions. Maybe if she just got this over with she could tell him she was going to bed and he would go and this would be forgotten. With a small roll of her red eyes Miriah almost drunkly moved herself so that she was pretty much on Aiden’s lap. Which made this probably the most provocative thing she had ever done. Boy did she feel stupid about this. Her hands gently went to Aiden’s cheeks to so she could keep his face still. Taking to let her red eyes lock onto Aiden’s for a moment she averted her eyes before she leaned in and capture his lips into a searing and fiery kiss. The moment their lips connected her hands went from his cheeks to rest on his shoulders. His lips were quite soft, knowing him he probably took 'care' of them. Hopefully he didn't think she was a better kisser. The kiss lasted a bit longer then she would have liked because it made her feel worse about herself. ”I…I’m sorry…I gotta go.” Miriah muttered the moment she broke the kiss. She almost went too far there and she felt like an idiot now. Carefully she shifted and tried to get off of Aiden’s lap. She should not have done that. What if she now ended up like every other girl that he had mistreated in the past. Now he had something to use against her whenever they fought. She should have just stuck to her stupid books and never let the loser in. Now she had given her first true kiss to Aiden Lorka and she wasn’t getting it back.

Aiden was beginning to regret coming to Miriah’s at the first place. Not that he had intentionally planned on coming here, he didn’t even realise that he had been thinking about her until he arrived at her door and she answered. Although he had to admit that he was glad that he had arrived at the door of someone whom he knew and trusted instead of someone he didn’t like or even worse; didn’t know. The way he had reacted when he saw Miriah was probably the way he would have reacted when he saw a complete a strange, the alcohol had rendered him almost helpless to control his emotions and his actions as he would never have let himself act like this in front of anyone, even someone like Miriah that he was friends with and did open up to just even a bit. Aiden was beginning to dread what he was going to be like in the morning, he had drank before but he had heard that after as much as he had drank right now he was going to go through hell and back for most of the day but he would probably handle that battle when he got to it. Right now he just had to get through the night, if Miriah wasn’t here he would be scared as to what he would do to anyone he came into contact with. He was actually surprised that he hadn’t ended up wherever Giselle was right now because that was the one person he had been thinking about all day and for the split second that he didn’t have her on his mind just so happened to be the moment he decides to apparate somewhere. Then again he was glad that this meant Giselle wouldn’t see him in his current state. Aiden was the only person in Giselle’s life right now that she had to look up too or rely on; at least he would be if they were still living together. With Giselle gone Aiden didn’t know how the little girl would be able to cope. She had never gone a day without seeing at least Aiden or Gaspard and now she would have to go live with complete strangers and Merlin only knew if they were actually nice people who would let Giselle see her brother when she had the chance. Thankfully she would be starting school in the new year and for once Aiden was excited about going to school because it meant that he could see his little sister everyday and not have to worry about her as he would be able to look out for her, something he hadn’t been able to do daily for some time now; apart from during the holidays. He hoped to Merlin that the family had the decency to let the young girl see her brother during the holidays and such. For if they family weren’t nice and Giselle had one bad thing to say about them, no matter how small, he would be after them in a heartbeat and after teaching them a lesson would fight to get Giselle out of there and back with him til the bitter end, people couldn’t be so cruel as to keep a brother and sister apart for so long that clearly loved each other; something not easily found now a days with Aiden and Joceline being the perfect examples of this fact. When Miriah said that she thought Aiden hated her, a look of shock appeared on his face as he began to shake his head. “I don’t hate you Miriah. I never have. I just found you interesting and I only have two ways of getting to know people, hit on them or pick on them, when the first one failed on you I had to result to the second one.” He said in his drunken slur but still understandable speech. He had never told anyone that before. People didn’t really think it but Aiden was a bit awkward and lacked as much confidence as he normally showed and it was because of this he couldn’t just talk to someone, or at least people (mostly girls) that he took a liking too.

When Aiden lost his balance again he sat on the couch in a slump, he felt completely useless now. He wasn’t fit enough to look after Giselle and it was beginning to look like it wasn’t able to look after himself if he couldn’t get up and leave Miriah’s with whatever dignity he had left; which he was sure was a lot lower than it had been in sometime now...probably since he got beat up by a girl or was left hanging in mid air in Brightstone for everyone to see. When he felt like breaking down into tears again he felt Miriah shift in position beside him. Lifting his head to look over at her he sat fully back on the couch so he just had to look ahead to see her inside of straining his neck to look behind him. Now that he could see her much clearer he had to appreciate just how good looking she was, even with the dim light but he figured it had to do with what she was wearing. Miriah was never one to show much of her body and always wear unflattering clothes; not that she was ever ugly in what she wore, she always made whatever it was look good on her. Although now that she was wearing a tank top with an open hoodie so he could see and a pair of tiny short he had to admit that she was a lot hotter than he imagined; not that he ever thought about her like that – much. Miriah’s next move surprised him, she was on top of him, or near enough. He listened to her words and he appreciated them, it was nice to hear sincere words from someone that had been saying them for the past few days that they were beginning to sound dull and practiced or from people that he didn’t know and were saying them out of respect and because it was the thing to do. No, he could tell that Miriah’s words were probably the most sincere from anyone because for someone who had taken so much crap from Aiden in the past to say a few nice words from him showed they had to be true. Aiden almost didn’t expect these words from Miriah because he had been such a prick to her in the past, he didn’t deserve them that’s for sure. Over the past few weeks while Aiden and Miriah had made that ‘pact’ and put their past to the side and tried to be friends he had started to realise just how poorly he had treated her and began to feel bad about it because in the end Miriah wasn’t a bad person and didn’t need anyone picking on her for any reason – although he remained to call her ‘bookworm’ but almost as a term of endearment nowadays. As Miriah shifted again, Aiden’s eyes widened in surprise at Miriah’s current position, sitting on his lap. Aiden locked his sapphires on Miriah’s rubies, feeling Miriah’s soft hands on his cheeks. A part of him knew was coming but another part of him dismissed the action ever happening, especially not Miriah. No they were just barely friends, they had been almost like enemies for three years but his mind stopped the second he felt Miriah’s lips on his. He immediately reacted the only way he could and returned the kiss, his hands moving up from his sides to the small of Miriah’s back. Aiden had had many kisses before but whether it was the alcohol or his current emotional state but this kiss was different and by far better than any kiss he had ever had; it was fiery, it was intense, it was...the best damn kiss he ever had. When he felt Miriah break away he looked at her with disbelief in his eyes, he couldn’t believe that they had actually just done that but he also couldn’t believe that he liked that. Now it was Miriah’s turn to get up but as she did she too didn’t exactly end up where she wanted too. Due to where Aiden’s hands had been placed previous when she felt back down on the couch his arm got caught under her so he was brought forward a bit. Looking down he could see Miriah under him, to anyone else it would look like an indecent position. When he looked into her eyes again he couldn’t help himself so he did the only thing that he wanted to do. Lowering his face he claimed Miriah’s lips once again, after just the one kiss he longed for her lips again, with no intention of stopping. Moving his hand slightly up her abdomen, exploring the body that he had never seen until tonight, slowly up to her shoulders where he proceed to remove her jacket. After that Aiden couldn’t be held responsible for his actions which ultimately resulted in a trail of clothes leading from the couch to Miriah’s room, a broken lamp and a flurry of pillows in random places all around the room. For the remainder of that night his mind pretty much turned off and he let his body take over, only until the next morning would he think about his actions.

Miriah couldn’t believe she had just allowed herself to kiss Aiden Lorka. Her mind vaguely went back to all the times she was disgusted with him for making out with girls in the hallways like they were some sort of toy. Now she was really not much better than any of them. Disgusted with herself she tried to move herself but ended up falling and ultimately failing at getting away and kicking Aiden out of her house before they ended up doing something they both ended up regretting. But it seemed that fate hate more in store for the two of them. When she had fallen, back onto the couch Aiden’s arm got caught under her so he was brought forward a bit which turned out to be a very suggestive position for the two of them. It made the two of them a lot closer than they ever had been and really wanted to be, they were enemy’s so they weren’t supposed to go around kissing one another. No matter how much either of them claimed to be friends now there was still that hostile air about the two of them. Before any hostile words telling him to get off could be uttered, Miriah felt Aiden’s lips claim hers once again. At first her shock and already growing fury for the situation she was putting herself in didn’t want her to be relaxed throughout this and tried to push Aiden away from her. After a few attempts she figured it wasn’t going to work and besides she had to admit that despite this being so wrong…she kind of liked it. Her hands went to Aiden’s back immediately as she deepened the kiss they were sharing with one another. Her mind was screaming for her to stop and get away from him, but her body and the alcohol just wanted her to get over it. Her hands started to tug on Aiden’s shirt as her fingertips grazed the skin of his back, dear god she hoped that Alyssa and Hadan stayed wherever they were at right now. It wasn’t long before Aiden removed her hoodie and the two of them were headed elsewhere. Clothing was left in a trail on the floor, leading to her bedroom. Never would she ever dare to think that she would be showing Aiden her bedroom to begin with. But to let him into her room to commit such a sin was something she never expected to happen. Before the night ended pillows were strewn about, her previous lamp was broken, and she was pretty sure they made enough noise to wake the dead. But really..in the end Miriah would discover that she wouldn’t change a thing.

Into the Morning Hours....

A small amount of sunlight peeked through Miriah’s bedroom curtains and shined onto her pale but smooth face brightly. It was definitely enough to make the brunette stir a little too as she tried to hide herself from the suns warming and bright rays. She felt something warm and flesh-like and immediately cuddled more closely next to it and hid her face from the sun. After about a moment or two longer of resting and hiding her eyes she was suddenly hit with the realization that the thing she was cuddled up against was a body…an unclothed body. Ruby eyes bolted open to the size of saucers before a shocked gasp flew from her lips. ’WHAT?! HOW?! WHY IS AIDEN HERE?!’ Miriah jumped back in panic, for a moment she didn’t even notice that she forgot to cover herself as well. Though it took less than a couple of seconds for her to react and jump again while wrapping the sheet around herself. She would let Aiden have the blanket since she didn’t want to see any part of him like that ever again. Trying to shift further away to be even more far away then possibly she winced a little. Last night may have been far more than enjoyable but Miriah was a bit sore from last nights passion. It was something she never expected to leave he aching the next morning but at the same time, she and Aiden were probably too drunk to really control their actions last night. And for once..Miriah was disgusted with herself. She had allowed Aiden to bed her and steal her innocence. Now she was going to be like all the others. He was going to break her heart and move on. Why did she allow him to dot his, why did she allow herself to do it.

”UGH!” Miriah growled as her hand flew down and smacked Aiden clear across his chest. The sound rang through the room due to how hard she intended to hit him. She hoped it hurt. And she hoped it woke him up too. How dare he come in there all drunk, allow her to get drunk, and let her lose control like that?! She didn’t want to be tossed aside like yesterdays trash or something. ”Aiden get the hell up before I stuff a f*cking pillow over your face!” She shook his him violently as she clutched the sheet around her carefully. He looked gorgeous lying there but it didn’t matter anymore. She just wanted him out. Miriah was disgusted with herself and disgusted with him. Things were never going to be the same again and it was all because fate and Aiden decided to be cruel. Her body glowed like an angel right now but the frantic and fury on her face was enough to make anyone look past that. Where were her clothes?

The memories of the night before were still fresh in the young man’s head before he had eventually went off into a peaceful sleep with the girl he had experienced something new with still in his arms. Never had Aiden went as far with any other girl as far as he had with Miriah that night, sure he had thought about it before but never had he imagined that his first time would be with no other than Miriah Johnson, a girl that he had almost despised for the past three years, but even more surprising was the fact that he liked it. No sooner had he felt his tired body relax and eventually fall to sleep did he feel a sharp pain of someone slapping his chest. He moved a bit as he allowed his body to react to the pain. As he moved a bit in the unfamiliar bed he heard a very familiar voice threatening him a new way. Groaning lightly as he opening his eyes, quickly moving his hand up to shield his sapphire orbs from the blinding sunlight for as soon as it had touched his eyes his pounding headache had gotten a lot worse. “Urgh.” he continued to groan as he looked up into those ruby red eyes he knew so well. “What Miriah?” he asked in a groggy voice. As he sat up a bit more and his eyes took in the room he wondered why it was so messy, his last memory of it was it sitting in an almost pristine order, everything in his place. Looking around he saw Miriah once again, he couldn’t quite read her face it was a mixture of shock, anger and a lot more stuff that he was in no state to think about. Stopping for a moment he came to a realisation. “MIRIAH!” he shouted, his eyes opening wide as he realised just who was beside him. “What are you...?” he couldn’t finish his sentence as slowly he started to remember what exactly happened the night before. “What am I doing in your bed?!” he asked in mild horror. Bringing his arms down he grabbed his blanket to cover himself as he saw Miriah’s semi covered body, in the early morning sun he couldn’t help but let his eyes dwell on the females body for a bit, she was actually...well gorgeous. Aiden had never noticed it before but it was hard to hide the fact now. His eyes still wide his horror of his realisation over the events of last night, he almost couldn’t feel the headache he was currently having from his hangover, he never felt this bad in his life.

No matter how hard Aiden tried he couldn’t quite get the memory of the previous day out of his head, I thought you were meant to forget all this after you drank. he shouted to himself. That was of course the only reason he had started drinking that day. He didn’t want to remember anything, his bastard of a father dying and then leaving him alone with Giselle who he had damn neared raised on his own which in the end counted towards nothing as she was taken away from him. That was the one thing that had tore him up, he was helpless and just had to stand there as Giselle was taken away. After that everything was a blur, arriving at Miriah’s, talking for a bit and then...well it was kind of obvious what had happened after that considering where they were at and the fact that they were both naked; Aiden really didn’t have a good feeling about this at all.

Miriah was thankful that Aiden actually woke so she wouldn’t have to resort to accidentally killing him then having to explain to the Aurors why she had done it. Her body softly turned to look as him as she gripped the sheets more tightly to her body, she felt so exposed and disgusted with herself right now it wasn’t even funny. She really couldn’t help but wonder what number girl she was to have gone through this with Aiden. When he asked what he was doing in her bed she rolled her ruby red eyes and shifted to she could crawl of the bed, the sheets still wrapped around her tiny frame as she did so. ”I figured that it would be a little obvious what your doing in my bed Aiden.“ Miriah muttered as she opened her curtains a little to see outside the window and onto the street for a moment. She figured it was around eleven or so in the morning, which was only a guess but she was rarely ever wrong. After a moment had gone by of her staring she closed the curtains softly before her eyes shifted to the rest of her room. It was pretty much destroyed by this point. Pillows were tossed everywhere, stuff off of her night tables were throw off. And her expensive lamp that had be given to her by her father was on the floor and broken into pieces. ”Sh*t. My dad gave me this lamp before he…ugh never mind.” Miriah backed away from the lamp and ran fingers through her brown hair before she headed out into the hallway to retrieve her and Aiden’s clothes that were strewn everywhere across the floor. It took her a minute to father everything but once she had she came back into the room and paused when she got another look at her bedroom. Never before had she seen her bedroom in this sort of state. And to be honest she wasn’t exactly sure how some of this stuff had been knocked over and anyways. She didn’t think her and Aiden were that rough with one another last night. Then again she had marks in countless places along with the most sore she had ever felt in her life to prove that maybe they were more rough than she had thought. In fact she was pretty sure the whole thing had caused her to bleed a little and such. This means she would have to change the sheets and stuff too. Walking over Miriah handed Aiden his clothes before she sat down on the side she had been asleep on for the remainder of the night. It was slowly hitting her that she and Aiden had actually slept together , she had let him see the most hidden parts of her. She allowed him into her heart last night and pitied him for what had happened to him. He should have known better though. He should have known that he would hurt her by doing this. Or was that intention.

”You should go…” Miriah turned her body so she wouldn’t have to look at him and he wouldn’t have the pleasure of seeing how hurt she looked right now. Her voice did crack however so that would probably cue him in that something was wrong. She felt like some easy sl*t right now and it was killing her inside, she felt so used and almost wished that last night had never happened. But at the same time there was a part of her that would probably never forget the time, it was almost beautiful in a way. Painful, a little gross, but something beautiful. It was almost as if they had even forgot that they hated each other during the time. It almost made Miriah wish she was one of the girls he seemed to be so attracted to. But she wasn’t and once school started he would probably spread this around to everyone and she would feel humiliated to the point of wishing she were anywhere but there. Miriah cuddled the sheet around her further as she tried to decide whether or not she was going to lay back down or yell at Aiden. It felt like she didn’t even have the energy to anything.

Even though he had given himself a fright and he was given a rude awaking he still felt groggy and his mind took a bit longer than usual to get working this morning. It was only made worse by the thumping headache that was starting to creep its way right bang in the center of his head. Bringing his hands up to his face he tried to take a few deep breaths so he could get control over his headache and bring the situation into focus for himself. When Miriah answered his question he groaned rather loudly. What had he done last night? Well obviously he knew what he done but why had he done it. All he wanted was someone to talk too in his depressed state; this was the last thing on his mind. For a moment he tried to convince himself that Miriah wouldn’t let him go home considering what he was like and allowed him to stay over. Granted, Miriah allowing him to sleep in her bed, with him, both as naked as the day they were born would be pushing it slightly but he knew it was hopeless to let himself try and believe that, what happened last night had in fact happened and he wasn’t going to be able to convince himself otherwise no matter how much he wanted too. It was Miriah after all. The two damn near hated each other and she wasn’t even that nice looking. Bringing his hands now his eyes landed on Miriah as she was looking outside clad in the bed sheets wrapped around her slender body. Well maybe she isn’t as ugly as I thought, he told himself. It was hard to think of Miriah has her usual self now, wearing her usual clothes not making her seem as attractive as she really was. It surprised Aiden that Miriah didn’t show off her body more, maybe if she did she wouldn’t feel as inferior to Hadan as she did because the point of the matter was; Miriah was hot but she didn’t know it. Aiden still tried to nurse his hangover as Miriah remained silent, his eyes never leaving her, wondering what she was going to do. He saw her look at the room, as his mind became less groggy and his eyes started to work properly he saw just how bad the room was. A part of him wanted to smirk at the thought of last night, he had quite enjoyed himself and the two were good together but he refrained from it for he knew now was not the time for joking about. Aiden heard Miriah make a comment about the lamp he broke and he felt a bad about it when she heard her mention her dad, he certainly hadn’t intended on breaking anything, especially not something that way valuable in any way to her. He watched Miriah leave the room and he let out a sigh as he fell back on the pillows for a moment as he tried to gather his thoughts. He was surprised at how much he actually enjoyed last night, considering it was Miriah, now that she couldn’t see him and slap him for anything he said or did he let his face crack a small smile.

As soon as he cracked the smile he whipped it clean from his face as he heard Miriah enter the room again. Sitting up he saw Miriah was his clothes in her hands, the rest were scatted around the floor in the bedroom. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked back at Miriah as she moved away, although they weren’t full of the usual anger he had when he narrowed his eyes but more so concern. Why did Miriah want his to leave, surely they couldn’t go without talking about this. Sighing he decided that he had best get dressed so he could have a civil conversation with her, clothed and not in his birthday suit. He got out of the bed and gathered the remaining pieces of clothing that had been taken off during the heat of the moment last night. Covering up his more intimate parts he turned to face where Miriah was sitting, feeling a bit less exposed now, not that it mattered after Miriah had pretty much seen everything last night. “Miriah..” he started off softly. He knew that they never got on at the best of times and only recently started to treat each other like the human beings they actually were, so he didn’t want to startle her or do something to upset her. Although he was pretty sure he had already done that, they were no denying what they did the night before and he was pretty sure that it broke the pact they had made, just as he was beginning to enjoy having a friend – even if that friend was Miriah. “I’m not going until we at least talk about this.” he said, once again using his softer voice with some firmness in it.

Miriah turned her head to look at Aiden sharply when he said her name softly. Despite the fact that he was now dressed she still didn’t really feel like looking at him, she knew if she did her heart would melt and she would want nothing more then to wish she was with him. Last night was nothing but a pure accident but a part of her wished it wasn’t. She clutched the sheets to her naked body as she listened closely to what he was saying to her. So he wasn’t going to leave until they talked about it. For a moment she wasn’t exactly sure what either of them were going to talk about but it didn’t take her long to figure out what Aiden was talking about. He wanted to probably talk about what had happened last night and what they were feeling. ’That a**hole just wants to make this worse for me doesn’t he?’ Miriah thought to herself with a roll of her red ruby eyes as she gripped the bunched up sheets as tightly as she possibly could manage so she wouldn’t lunge out and try to kill him. Well it wasn’t that she wanted to kill him, just hurt him a little for doing this to her and thinking that she was actually going to want to talk to him about this. Sometimes girls felt a little attached to the person she had given her innocence to, but not her. Miriah really felt nothing but disgust for him. She turned her body to look at Aiden as if she were just told that her grandmother was killed her something, she looked hurt and like she had just witnessed a tragedy. Yet there was a spark of fiery anger in her eyes mixed in with everything else. This was not the way everything was supposed to be for her. Her and Aiden had just created that pact and sort of became friends but now it was all ruined. ”You want to talk about it? Fine! Let’s talk about how we got drunk last night or about how we slept together, or even about how we woke up in each others arms? Im sure everyone would just love to hear about how you finally managed to completely ruin my life!“ Miriah had stood up from the bed by this point, and though she was still covering herself up by a sheet she was near the point of screaming by now. She knew this wasn’t completely Aiden’s fault here but she felt like this was something he had been planning for awhile. Aiden was known for going after and getting any girl he could. And seemingly those who were a challenge were girls that he had to try harder with. No longer was Miriah someone that had resisted him, and it made her feel like she was weak and had given into desires. Was she really that lonely and pathetic? So it wasn’t that she hated Aiden for this. It was just that she was now one of all the other girls, the used and thrown away. Not to mention he was probably going to tell everyone how she was in bed.

”Aiden Lorka I hate you so much. There..speaking done! NOW…will you leave me the hell alone and get out of my room!” Miriah hurled a pillow from the floor at him as she muttered what probably sounded like the most bitter statement she had ever uttered at Aiden. She didn’t really hate him, not at all. But he managed to hurt her in a way never possible before. Little did she know that her yelling was probably doing a really good job at waking her slumbering roommates. Particularly her sister Hadan, who was probably going to be far less than pleased to see Aiden inside her house.

Hadan had had one hell of a night with Raffael that left her body craving for sleep. Though she was used to such...welcoming events after a year ceases to end. Hadan emerged from the god's bed, kissing the lips before she moved to find her nightgown that had spurred the magical moment from the evening and on and off during the night. Hadan could not even count if she had slept more than three hours last night. Hadan put the nightgown back on, after telling that it better not be ripped apart anyway. She really liked this one. It was like a bikini, but a silk tank top went over it. Hadan decided to surprise Alyssa and Miriah with a breakfast but first things first, she needed a new outfit because things got a little out of hand last night. Hadan picked up the remains, and she exited the men's apartment to let them sleep a little more than usual. Hadan walked next door and she entered it. Immediately, she knew someone was up.

Hadan discarded her outfit into the bin and she attempted to neaten her hair. Hadan somehow did not hear the yelling that had taken place, but once she entered Miriah's room, her voice filled it, without even looking at the other, "So, we need to go shopping for another outfit because Raffael was a little too rough and ruined my out-" Her red eyes gazed over the broken pieces of the lamp, and then onto a shirtless Aiden. Her head whipped back to Miriah, and her confusion only lasted a half of a second, and it was quickly replaced with anger and wrath. The banshees would run in terror at the looks she was flashing in her eyes. Hadan did not care what she was wearing. This was her apartment, and there was someone in here that she hated with a passion. Hadan had half a mind to take a dagger to the male, and slash his throat right here and now. Hadan could cover up the missing persons thing. No one would really miss him. The two and two together clicked in her mind, and Hadan finally glared at Aiden. "GET OUT OF MY APARTMENT, NOW!" Hadan shouted loud enough to wake the neighbors within a ten mile radius. "If you don't, I will hold your body to court with accounts of trespassing. NOW LEAVE!"

Hadan retrieved her wand and she summoned a robe to her, and she covered herself up. She turned to Miriah, and she could not bring herself to yell at her sister. Not yet anyway. Hadan just stared, though it was a mix between fury and disappointment. At least when Hadan lost her own purity, she was in a steady relationship, still in it now and she was in love. This...this just ruined her morning. Hadan uttered, her voice amazingly soft but it was ice cold, "Forget about us going out now." Hadan exited the bedroom, and she went to her own room. She would not sympathize for Miriah. She did this to herself, she can deal with the consequences. She was nothing more but another girl that Aiden has added to his list of screwing. Hadan slammed the door hard enough to rattle the glasses in the cupboard. Hadan locked the door, and she rummaged through her clothing to find another outfit. Her plans have changed, amazingly. After all the control that she had had on her anger, there was no hope in rebuilding it. Hadan changed into another outfit, black jeans and a white shirt, before she apparated off to let off some steam of her own.

Aiden didn’t know what Miriah was going to say to him but a big part of him felt bad about what happened last night. He had enjoyed it of course, he had loved it and he didn’t even care that his first was with Miriah Johnson, in fact he was glad that he had done it his first time with the red eyed beauty. Sure the two had pretty much despised each other for the longest time but they had put that behind him and in the small time that the two had tried the whole ‘friends’ thing he had grown almost fond of the bookworm. He had gained a new found respect for her as the two talked and learned things about her, he never knew about her life and how she felt inferior towards her sister; something he couldn’t understand as he found Miriah to be a much better person that Hadan in more ways than one. Then in the other side of the coin, Aiden had told Miriah some things that he had never told anyone and he trusted her with a lot of his secrets, more so than any other person he knew. Now they both shared something else in common, one thing that would never change no matter how much they tried to forget about it. The part that made him feel bad for what happened last night had him frozen to the spot. It was his fault for what happened last night, Miriah may have made the first move but he had supplied the alcohol and made the second, third, fourth move and every other move that lead them to the night they had shared together; even though he was sure Miriah had a part to play in quite a bit of it too. He cringed as Miriah shouted at him. It honestly wasn’t his intentions last night for this to happen, at the most he wanted a shoulder to cry on but obviously fate had other plans for the two.

Aiden let out a sigh as Miriah finished talking. He knew that no amount of ‘I’m sorry’s would fix this hole he had dug himself but he was sure as hell going to try. “Miriah, look I’m sorry. I....” although he never got to finish the sentence as the door opened. Aiden froze for a moment. He knew it could only be two people. Alyssa or Hadan; neither of which he wanted to see right now, in this situation. Of course it had to the be the worst out of the two. He saw Hadan enter the room and didn’t dare move an inch as she had seemed to not see him by now maybe he was in luck and she wouldn’t see him and he would get off scoot free. Of course his luck wasn’t that good as Hadan saw him and began to shout at him, telling him to get out. Aiden would normally have fought back but right now he knew that the wounds were too fresh and they all needed time to mull over what had happened exactly and tackle it was fresh minds at a later date. When Hadan left Aiden grapped his shirt and put it on, doing up a few buttons. Grabbing the rest of his clothes he looked up at Miriah, “We’re not finished with this.” he told her before he apparated out of the apartment back to his house, not really sure what he was getting himself in for as he arrived there.
