Open after Tamara posts with Emily

Tyler hadn't expected the final year to go this fast, but it really was flying by. He was slowly realizing how quickly he would have to be an adult and stand on his own two feet, especially because he knew his parents would expect him to get a job straight out of Hogwarts and follow in his father's footsteps. Tyler had been struggling with it a bit, wondering if there was any merit in trying to get a duelling career off the ground. He knew it would be risky, but it was something that occupied his mind lot lately. He didn't exactly look forward to doing the exact same thing his dad did for the rest of his life. But he also didn't want to risk it if he wasn't good enough.

Tonight, he didn't have to think about any of that. He would just have a fun evening with his girlfriend. He hadn't seen Emily that much lately, which was mostly his own fault. Studies and club responsibilities took up a lot of his time. He hoped he could make it up to her tonight. He waited for her at the door to the Great Hall, feeling sad that this would be their final yule ball together.

Emily was wearing a blue, red and black dress to her last yule ball. It felt weird, she had picked out the dress with her parents over the break and hoped Tyler was going to like it. They hadn't seen each other a lot, but they were both very busy with clubs and classes. It was nice that they shared some and Emily had enjoyed Muggle studies with her boyfriend. It felt weird to know that her adult life was soon going to start. She had already looked at some jobs she could do after Hogwarts.

The only stable factor in her life was Tyler, jobs were still out in the open and she had no clue who she was going to make leader of her club. Emily quickly did her hair, since she was almost running late and made way to the Great Hall. She soon arrived at the Great Hall giving Tyler a quick kiss.
''You look beautiful'' Emily said lovingly.

Tyler smiled at the sight of Emily, leaning down to kiss her briefly. He laughed softly. "You look beautiful." He said, offering her his arm. He would rather be called handsome than beautiful, but he was pleased that Emily seemed to like how he looked. He had tried for her, after all. "Let's go in, I want to dance." He told her, starting to lead her into the Great Hall. The music wasn't all that good and the decorations were terrible as usual, but Tyler still hoped to have fun with his girlfriend tonight. It was going to be their final yule ball together, which made it feel a bit sad, even if he didn't really care that much about these events.

Salem had been bopping her way around the hall, picking at a few snacks and chatting with any friends she spotted as she went. She wasn't exactly big on Yule celebrations specifically, but she missed the chaotic clamber of big events like this and enjoyed having a moment to just be apart of the crowd for awhile. It wasn't long before boredom started to set in again though and Salem tapped her fingers along her thigh as she looked around for something interesting, pondering grabbing a present from the tree when she spotted Tyler out on the dancefloor.

"Tyler, hi!" Salem said brightly, falling into step with him. "And hi, Tyler's friend. Are you guys gonna dance? I'm bored," she announced, looking at her cousin hopefully.

Emily smiled when Tyler called her beautiful. She nodded when Tyler asked her if she wanted to dance. It was their last dance after all so they had to make the most out of it. ''The decorations look as terrible as always, I asked if my club could do them this year, but the Professors declined'' Emily said to her boyfriend. Emily looked around and then she looked at a girl that had a familiar look about her. ''Hello...Uh..who is this?'' Emily looked at Tyler. Confused that the girl seemed so excited and familiar with Tyler.

Tyler smirked a bit when Emily complained about the decorations. "Their loss. You would have made something way better." He said confidently. But then Tyler winced when he heard a familiar voice, looking down with a frown. He sighed at his cousin. "Salem, hello." He said coldly, frustrated to be interrupted this way. "Emily, this is my cousin Salem. Salem, Emily. My girlfriend." Tyler said pointedly.

Salem smiled up at Tyler as he introduced her. She was aware he was making the vaguely constipated face he made sometimes when he was unhappy about something. Privately, Salem always thought it made him look like his dad. But it was Yule and Salem figured she had a right to spend it with what little family she had around Hogwarts if she could. "Oh, hi Tyler's girlfriend," she amended. "Are you guys gonna dance?"
