Zeiva Stewart was enjoying a rare day off, the school was having a teachers only day which meant that she had the entire day off to do what ever she wanted. Her first thoughts were to stay home and enjoy a lazy day in bed reading but all hopes of that were dashed when it was announced that even though Angela's private school wasn't holding a teachers only day, that she was going the be allowed to stay home anyway. The last thing that the young girl wanted was to spend additional time with Angela. She was nice enough but only in small doses. Over consumption would be fatal. So getting up she slipped on a t-shirt and jeans and her worn out joggers and grabbed her soccer ball from the corner of the room. Quickly making herself presentable she grabbed an apple off the bench, scribbled a note to her mum and left the house. The only problem with being the youngest sibling was that her sisters had already left for Hogwarts leaving her all alone with no one to play with, something she tended to take for granted when Eliza Beth and Zeiva were around. Now she had to make her own fun or find someone to hang out with.

Zeiva headed toward the park, there was always someone around there, even if it were early in the morning. The kids there were always up for a bit of fun and a good run around or just a talk if they were tired. So it was all in all the best place to head for an adventure. Slipping in the side gate Zeiva ran across the field to her favourite spot, the willow tree that grew at the edge of the playing field with branches asking to be climbed. Tucking the ball in the hollow at the base of the tree the young girl set off climbing up to one of the lower branches before leaning back and hanging onto it with the back of her knees, admiring the world upside down. Swinging back and forth Zeiva smiled, this would beat talking to Angela about clothes anyday.

After awaking peacefully to another day Ferdinand Oakley made the hasty decision to skip breakfast, and go outside to find another adventure, hopefully more enjoyable than the previous day's failed attempt to build a fort out of long grass and tree branches. The fort did work in theory, but in practice the outcome was completely different, Ferdinand vowed to never again venture to build a fort on his own, without proper building equipment, the eleven year old knew as soon as his attempt failed that some rope in any shape or form would have done wonders, but until then he was naïve in thinking he could build something stable out of the two raw materials of grass and tree branches. He hadn't even considered improvising rope either. The dark haired boy strolled into the park, navigating his way towards a place he hoped his best friend Zeiva would already be, a willow tree at the edge of the playing field where the two had played together time and time again. He was quietly hoping their mutual friend Angela wasn't with her that morning, because her company was always a down buzz somewhere like a park, Ferdinand and Zeiva would always be on an adventure, as much as they could while in the confines of the neighbourhood park, and Angela always seemed to ruin it, but Ferdinand was more than happy to call her his friend, sometimes talking about girly things like clothes with her was a lot more relaxing when he was tired or feeling ill.

Ferdinand arrived at the base of the tree, his attention captured by a familiar soccer ball tucked into a hollow. He quickly glanced around his shoulders, Zeiva should be nearby, but when she wasn't in his sight, he considered she may have left her soccer ball there some other day. Shaking his head, Ferdinand heard something, and turned his attention upwards, to the tree branches. Where he saw his friend Zeiva hanging upside down by her knees. Ferdinand caught himself in a momentary fright, inhaling and clutching his chest, exhaling and poking his tongue out at the girl once the fright had surpassed. "You scared me!" He exclaimed, teasing to throw the soccer ball at her. It wouldn't be too hard, he had a clear shot, and it would be a second before Zeiva fell to the ground. Stepping back Ferdinand began to aim, ready to knock her out of the tree at a seconds notice.

Zeiva shook her hair out of her eyes, she had stupidly forgotten to tie it up. Peering out between the curly locks she spotted her best friend Ferdinand looking for her. Grinning she kept quiet planning to flip down and giving him a fright. But a sneeze crept up on her and broke the silence but still gave the boy a satisfactory fright. She stifled a laugh and held her hands out in surrender, mimicking him and poking out her own tongue. "Hold your fire! Sorry, blame the dust in the air." she called, her voice sounding strained from the blood that was rapidly rushing to her head. Her vision was begining to swim and she knew that if she didn't want to faint and land on her head she was going to have to get up right. Swinging for a moment she flipped off the branch landing rather ungraciously on her feet, stumbling a little before pulling herself upright grinning from ear to ear. Giggling she rolled her eyes at Ferdinand, "You were aaaages, for a moment I thought you weren't coming." she sighed, though it had probably only been five minutes after she arrived.

Zeiva quickly ran at Ferdinand, jumping she grabbed the ball out of his hands and landed lightly behind him. Spinning around she held the ball up a mischevious grin on her face, "Now it's your turn to surrender." she announced aiming the soccer ball at him. The young girl enjoyed the playful banter that occured between them, it was different when Angela was around. She brought a different tone to the chatter, it was always more serious and girl orientated, and when you were a tomboy like Zeiva it was just boring. That and it always just went right over her head. The latest fashions meant nothing to her. "Ready to surrender Oakley?" she asked spinning the soccer ball in her hands.
