Closed A Chance Encounter

Hēmi was a bit stressed by school. He wasn't the brightest kid, and he probably didn't work hard enough to make up for it. He also kind of wished there was a playground. He was getting a bit too old for them, but at the same time, he liked hanging out in playgrounds. It's what he used to do back home. A courtyard wasn't close by any means but it was semi-outdoors so it was playground-adjacent at least. Hēmi took a seat on one of the benches, watching some of the other students. He still hadn't really made any strong connections, which was kind of a shame. Connections in general? Sure, but Hēmi liked being surrounded by a lot of friends and that just hadn't happened yet. Maybe it was too early for it. Hēmi swung his feet, his legs just a tad bit too short to reach the ground comfortably. He should've brought something to do with his hands, they were feeling fidgety.

 

[Miles Flynn]

Miles liked to think that he was starting to settle into a nice and normal-ish routine at Hogwarts. Of course, the full moons always threw a spanner in the works, but at least they were on a schedule and there was no chance of getting blindsided by a surprise full moon. Between his lessons, extra quidditch practice and hanging out with his friends, Miles didn't really have much time left over for homework. He'd first tried getting some done in the common room, and then moved to the student lounge, but he just wasn't finding his flow inside. So, he had decided to take it outside. Maybe some fresh air would help. "Do you mind?" He asked, smile on his face as he nodded towards the empty seat next to the other boy. He didn't want to just assume it would be fine to sit down. After all, the other boy could be waiting for someone to show up or was saving the seat for someone else.
