A Burning Question

Lucas had no reason to be nervous as he waited for Evelyn to come home from work, they had talked about the possibility of marriage before and he knew where she stood on the subject, he had never been more confident about what would come out of someone's mouth once he popped the question to her. Some could describe the way he had laid out their home as a clique, but Lucas knew his girlfriend well enough to know she would love it, rose petals would greet her at the door and lead her all the way to the bedroom where she would be greeted with an array of floating candles, it was cheesy but Lucas was confident Evelyn would love it. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box containing the ring he had been carrying around for weeks while he tried to find the perfect moment, as it was there hadn't been a perfect moment so Lucas just created one.
