Ruto was happy to be back at Hogwarts, despite knowing that classes were also a big part of it. At least this year she didn't have to worry about the pressure of the OWL exams, not that they really pressured her anyway - she was just tired of people around her being stress heads. This year she was optimistic that everyone would be a lot calmer, that the negative energies would be restored, and that overall people would be happy. As classes were about to start up again, Ruto knew she had to spend her time relaxing a little before heading fully into the year. She knew of no place better to do so than the outdoors. It was a nice spring day, the sun was out, and she knew she needed to soak some of it in. She found a spot on the grass where the sun directly hit, and lay herself down on her back, spreading out her legs and arms. She didn't care if people had to walk around her or over her, as she thought she had the best spot of them all, and that others just neglected to see the beauty in the small things. She closed her eyes and began to think she was floating on a cloud, high up and away from all of the people in the world.

Oz still couldn't believe he'd been given a badge. It felt like it must have been some sort of mistake. But obviously he'd done something worthwhile, and whatever it was he had to do more of it. Of course, he did have to knuckle down a bit this year for OWLs. He didn't exactly know what he was doing there, either, but he'd just have to work it out. Hopefully do the right subjects to get him where he thought he might like to be. Wherever that was.

Oz found himself getting wrapped up in his thinking as he wandered aimlessly around the grounds, enjoying the fresh air and contemplating a fair few things. Not paying enough attention, he stumbled right over a pair of legs stretched across the ground, giving a yelp as he fell forward. He reddened, whipping his head around to see who the culprit was. Of course, for most people he'd just own up to his mistake, there were just a few people he'd yell at instead. The culprit fell into the first category, however, and he bowed his head in embarrassment. "Sorry, I, uh, wasn't paying attention. Are you alright?"

Ruto had been so caught up in her thoughts, she didn't even realise someone had fallen over her until they spoke. It was that new Hufflepuff prefect, and apparently they were patrol partners. What an odd guy he was, but Roo also didn't mind speaking with him. She sat up and crossed her legs underneath her. "Yes, I'm quite alright." she said a little dreamily before looking out across the grass. "All this space and you just so happened to fall over me." She then looked up at him and her lips upturned into a friendly smile. "What are you up to today, Hufflepuff prefect?"
