Days had passed and the incident was still stinging the Hufflepuff inside. She had not spoken to either of the two students that she had hurt. Sure, she saw Cyan in the common room but Danielle, herself, stayed out of the girl's way. With Aion, she would see him in the corridors but every time she wanted to approach him, she stopped herself afraid to be rejected. Yesterday was no different. She saw Aion on their way to the Great Hall last night. She stopped short upon the sight of him. She attempted at a wave hello but he just went on,maybe he did not see her completely. When she remembered it the next day, she could not handle going in to for a meal and instead, she went out for a walk by herself.

A few minutes later of walking and thinking, Danielle found herself on the edge of the forest. She didn't even know why she ended up here. She usually went to her favorite tree by the lake when she wanted to be alone. Then again, she was not herself these days. Gone was the usual Danielle, replaced by a girl who somehow lost her identity and place in this world she grew up in. She just stood there, staring into the trees, remembered that the first time she had done it was with a friend. Now, she was alone. At this thought, her heart tightened. To the point, she touched her chest as if it could relieve the pain she felt.

The last time Aion was in the forest, a lot of drama had gone down around the seventh year, but as Aion now sat on the floor of the woods, back leant up against the tree trunk, it was the most peaceful he'd felt all year. Of course, it very much helped that he had such great company. He still felt broken and lost as he had since the start of his final year at Hogwarts, but as soon as he made contact with Cyan she seemed to be able to heal a part of him, at least for a moment. "After I'd been at Hogwarts for a year, that's when I was introduced to Maddie" He was telling her, doing his best to find the balance between informing his friend and oversharing. She had a right to know at this point, what was going on in his head. Regardless of the amount of time they'd spent together she'd already shown herself to be someone Aion could trust. Neither of them were perfect, not by any means, but they could help the other fill the gaps.

He'd had so many emotions to contend with over the recent months, and saying them aloud terrified him more than he cared to admit. He'd not spoken to the Gryffindor since October, and knew he was going to have to come to terms with his decision sooner or later, but his current actions were only making his previous choices harder to cope with. "The whole point" He began again, trying to put his words in a comprehendible thought, "I didn't want her to have to wait for me. Waste her time while I wasn't around." He didn't mind admitting to Cyan about his feelings for his ex. Their own relationship was built on attraction and openness, and Aion clearly wasn't ready to delve any deeper than that, despite appearances. "I loved her and I let her go" He added, in barely more than a whisper. He closed his eyes, his head leaning back against the tree. Here he was spending time with another, after sending away his first love in order to study. How could he not feel guilty about that? He didn't want to see Maddie, as he still recalled the sight of her in the Great Hall that day as Aion told her truth, and extent of his feelings. She had been so mad, and so angry. Rightfully so. Whatever she was doing now, Aion just hoped she was happy, but it didn't stop the burning feeling in his stomach.

He sighed quietly under his breath, his eyes reopening to meet the large brown crystals of his friend. He tucked her hair behind her ear as he watched her face. She was so pretty. He'd never be able to let her know the extent of appreciation he had for her approaching his table that day. He would have apologised for his bluntness, but he realised in this instance it wasn't necessary. "My parents never even knew about her" he added, hand dropping to find hers. He paused for a moment, glad for an opportunity to move the subject away from his own grief. "What are yours like?" He asked, vaguely aware of the sound of rustling leaves, probably in the breeze.

Cyan was happy that Aion had invited her to go out with him that evening and speak with one another somewhere semi-private. The Hufflepuff hadn't really contacted him since the argument - if it could be called that - between he and his friend. She wasn't sure what to say really. And a part of her was terrified that Danielle would tell him the nasty things she said. She didn't want Aion to think his blood mattered between them, and doubted he'd give her a chance to explain. So instead she took the moments she could have peacefully, sneaking past the other Hufflepuffs, keeping an eye out for the bothersome seventh year. Cyan came down the hallway to where they were to meet, and they left for the forest, the most private place you could be. Sure they could get in trouble, but what was a little fun. Once out there the mermaid haired girl laid down her blanket for them. Once they were situated, Aion sitting down and Cyan with her head on his lap, looking up at him as she talked. The student didn't mind his talking, she liked the way his voice sounded, the in and out of his chest. Cyan didn't want to interrupt so she laid patiently listening, occasionally nodding. When he finished speaking Cyan found herself toying with his hand, looking over every crease and line in his palm. He'd gotten to touch her hair moment's before, that should have been quite the statement if he knew how much she valued and loved her hair.

Cyan sighed contentedly before speaking. "My mom and dad are purebloods. My mom was a homemaker though, and then she decided to help with house decorating." She spoke semi-quietly, loud enough to be heard over the rustling. "And My dad is a business man, but he won't tell me what the business is. He says he's not going to turn it over to me so I need to find a money making career. He doesn't think I should do cosmetology... says it's a waste of time." The girl spread her hand over his, the size difference remarkable. She had small hands, a small frame - it wasn't all bad though she wished she had a few more pounds to create curves. "You know, you shouldn't feel guilty. The girl you hurt will only stay hurt for so long. Maybe you can be friends after? She sounds lovely though, and i really believe you should just try and talk to her." She insisted, steering the topic back to him, not aware of much else in the world besides him.

Lanithro Styx needed some space, which was why he navigated himself to the Forbidden forest. He wasn't a prefect, so he did not need to obey the rules. Besides, the boy just sat himself just on the second row of trees, opening a notebook and just writing, debating over his time here and whether or not he should even stay. His dad was here though. And he might not be able to transfer because his dad's word was law. Lanithro sighed as he continued to write, but noticed that some people were coming into the forest, talking and whatnot. He looked over with his golden eyes to see who it might be. Cyan, someone that he didn't care for because he just didn't care for anyone nowadays except for Rome Savage. She was his best friend after all. Then there was that transfer. Ioan or something. Lanithro didn't remember nor did he even bother to try to get it right if he were, on the off chance, of being wrong. Finally, an older girl that, once again, Lanithro did not know or care for. He continued to write in his notebook, mostly in Bulgarian so that he could keep his privacy.

'Just don't get too loud, guys, and disturb my peace, thanks' thought the pure-blood as he continued to write and draw stick figures with heads being torn off, mainly because he was still bitter over what happened to him a year ago. Lanithro, unfortunately, never let things go, and he likely never would. The stick figure was supposed to be someone, but he was such a bad drawer that it could be labeled as anyone. Lanithro could not see that.

It had been a few weeks since Maddie had ventured this far out into the grounds. The last time had ended so badly that she had tried to avoid the place and tried to put the event to the back of her mind. Aion and Maddie were over and he was well within his rights to do whatever he wanted, with whomever he wanted despite what he had preached to Maddie when they broke up. That, and the fact that the girl he was with was incredibly rude and patronising, Maddie could hardly believe Aion had chose to move on with a girl like that and as a result she tried to avoid him and her as much as she could.

The Forest was the best place to hold many secrets and it was the latest location that Maddie and James considered sneaking off to. With James being a prefect they had to alternate their secret locations in case he got caught, so the Forest was the next chosen destination. She arrived early at the entrance so decided to walk into the clearing with her bag full of supplies. She left a trail behind her so James would know where to find her. However, as she turned the corner she realised that she wasn't alone. She was joined by a couple of other students, one of whom she knew very well. She felt the familiar sinking feeling in her stomach as Aion came more clearly into view and he wasn't on his own, he was with a different girl this time and although she was relieved it wasn't Danielle; she still found herself extremely frustrated that he was with someone else.

She emerged from the trees and realised the couple were lying on a blanket and looking very comfortable together. With the heat rising from her cheeks, Maddie stomped forward and exhaled heavily as she looked over Aion and the girl "This looks very cosy" she said looking at the two of them "although this wasn't the first girl you were with Aion... remind me, what was her name again? Began with a D or something right?" she asked him "Where is she tonight? Have you broke up with her too? Some other bullsh*t reason probably?" she finished crossing her arms.

James was happy, the happiest he had ever been. Ever since he had got back to Hogwarts he and Maddie were stronger than ever. It felt good to finally be public with her and not feel like he was doing something wrong. Ever since their first night back at school James and Maddie had needed to find new places to sneak off together. As James was a perfect he couldn't afford to be caught in a compromising position. The latest spot for their meet up was the forbidden forest. Once James's patrol ended he quickly made his way out onto the grounds and headed to the forest. He had expected to see Maddie waiting for him at the entrance but it wasn't the case. He was about to find out why.

There were voices coming from the clearing just inside the forest, the most prominent was Maddie's and she was not happy. James made his way inside the forest to see who she was unleashing her anger on but as he got close enough to hear her words clearly he didn't need to see the boy to know she was talking to her ex-boyfriend Aion. The overriding emotion in Maddie's voice was angry, that much was obvious but James couldn't help but listen to the words she spoke and pick up hints of jealousy and hurt and they were not emotions he liked to see his girlfriend feel when confronting he ex. "Well Aion, I don't think much of your taste in women if this is who you replaced Maddie with," James scoffed. It baffled him why anyone would have broken up with Maddie in the first place but the two girls Aion had seemingly replaced her with paled in comparison to the Gryffindor beauty.

Lyra Potter hadn't been intending to run into anyone tonight other than her brother. She had been searching the castle all evening for Link, but she hadn't found him anywhere. Finally, the Gryffindor girl had decided to check the forest as Link often liked to get in trouble there. As she approached, she heard several raised voices. Upon further investigation, Lyra realized she had made a mistake. This had nothing to do with her brother. Lyra rolled her eyes at James and Maddie. It was so clear they were together, and she had been right all along. Not that Lyra cared. She was blissfully happy with Felix and they had done nothing to hide their relationship since returning to school. Still, James, Maddie, and Lyra's last conversation had been awkward and explosive. Still, this looked like an uncomfortable situation for Maddie, so Lyra wasn't about to leave. She didn't think they had spotted her yet as she was closest to Lanithro. Instead of saying anything, Lyra went over to Lanithro. She sat down beside him and gave him a small hug. She knew he didn't love physical contact from most people, but he had never minded it from her. They had stayed friends after they broke up without any problems.

Cyan was enjoying the moment, and her eyes lulled closed for a moment. She wondered what she looked like to him, and wondered if she liked her thick eyelashes, or the small freckles on her face. What if he didn't like her gap tooth? Cyan had been thinking of getting it fixed for a while. However all her thoughts of piece were ruined very quickly when a woman's voice could be heard. Cyan jumped from her position and laid eyes on a brunette, with fairly beautiful features. She had large eyes and seemed angry. This had to be here. Cyan stood up. "You... you must be Maddie!" Cyan hustled to her feet, brushing herself off, clearing the leaves that may be stuck on her off.

Cyan was a girl with many words to say and no lines she wouldn't cross, so instead of feeding the anger she moved and hugged the girl. "I am so sorry you got hurt! I was just telling Aion he needs to rip the band-aid off and apologize." Cyan continued to squeeze her. The only way she'd stop is if the girl pushed her off or she finished. "As for the Dani girl, I already had it out for her. Aion told me how *****y she was to you. You need support, I'm there girls gotta have each other!" Cyan was honestly sure that she and this Maddie could be friends. They had the same taste in men. She then turned to what she assumed was her new boyfriend. "And as far as *****y goes, your're worse than your girlfriend right now. We can work this out. Let me start, I'm Cyan, Aion's new friend!" She was honest, she and Aion were not together. "You really are beautiful, I can see why he feels so bad for leaving. Look at your perfect teeth."

Was Cyan normal? No. She was a little crazy, and had no boundaries, but since meeting Aion she'd learned that perhaps being herself and not following the public's standards of socialization was the best way for her to make friends. At that point in time she was away from Aion and everyone else, focusing on Maddie, unaware of the three quiet guests.

Danielle was so lost in thoughts that she was startled when she saw Aion and Cyan approached the forest. They had not spotted her from her place but she was sure it was them. They looked happy together,Aion especially. She took a step forward toward them but halted upon hearing them talk and laugh. Hugging herself, the Hufflepuff contented herself with listening to their conversation.

Danielle did not know how long she was standing there but her legs started to protest. Looking around for a place to sit,she found a rock a few yards from a big tree, just enough where she could see the Ravenclaw and younger Hufflepuff but far enough where they could not see her, hopefully. She sighed again, looking at her hands when the next thing she heard were outbursts from two voices she found familiar. She looked up only to find Maddie, confronting Aion, who Danie found out to be his ex-girlfriend;followed by James Cade, the Gryffindor prefect she met here last semester. She observed them from afar when she noticed movement to her right. She recognized Lyra Potter,James' ex-girlfriend. Danielle thought she would go to the group as well so it was a surprise when Lyra slipped into the big tree just close by where she sat. Danielle looked back to the group, watching the drama unfold.

More and more arrived to the apparent party that the sixth year missed the invitation to (and he would have declined because that was the type of person he was). He thought about leaving, that is, before his ex-girlfriend, who they both mutually decided to end thing due to his father's tension and how they were simply better off as good friends. He returned her hug, before casting his stare back to the group. He didn't know half of these people. He knew who they were, but not personally. Lanithro decided that he should at least try to get a grip of what was unfolding. He never kept up with the romances in his year because it all confused him. He asked Lyra, "Um, what's going on with them?" He gestured toward the explosive two couples, from what he could tell. If anyone knew anything around the school, Lyra would. Gossip and whatnot seemed to be her thing more than his. Lanithro didn't really care, but at least he shut his notebook and poor drawings. He set them to the side, and looked to his friend to see what was going on. Last thing he wanted was that drama to head his way. Lanithro did have quite a temper on him.

Amy had been wondering just what the hell was going on with her friends. She'd heard rumours, and not so good ones and now they weren't even reaching out to her which only made things worse. She felt as if she might be losing them slowly and she wasn't prepared for that. So, she decided she'd go confront them about it and why so many things were being said about them. Part of her felt guilty for not trying harder, being there for either one of them, before things got this bad. Then the feeling quickly faded again as she thought that if they'd missed her or wanted to talk to her, they would have.

Amy reached the grounds, having passed some students who said they saw a couple of people going outside almost at the same time and by the descriptions that she was given she knew it was James and Maddie. Amy wasn't one to break the rules, so she wouldn't even have considered going to the forbidden forest if she could avoid it. She did however hear voices as she neared the trees, and she squinted, noticing a few people from her year and above in a clearing. Amy took a deep breath and got closer. She was about to approach Maddie once she spotted her but unfortunately for her and fortunately for Amy, the blonde arrived just in time to hear the last bit of the conversation. Or argument more like. Before she said anything to make her presence known or saw who Maddie seemed to be arguing with this time, however, she realised they weren't the only ones there. There was another girl Amy was friends with a while ago whom she hadn't spoken to recently.

Amy frowned, her curiosity taking over and instead of going over to her friends she decided to keep Lyra company. Maybe she knew what was up since her and Maddie were roommates. Amy only then realised Lyra wasn't alone but with a boy in their year. "Hi guys," she smiled. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked, hoping it was okay. Amy glanced back at Maddie, and from this angle she saw who she was talking to. She tried to hide her surprise, it was her roommate Cyan but she was being friendly with Maddie, so it had to be Aion, the boy she met the previous year. "Do you know what's going on?" she asked them, unaware that moments before Amy arrived Lanithro had asked the same thing.

Aion didn't need to look up at all to realise Maddie was standing beside them. As soon as he heard her voice he felt the familiar sickness brewing, but before he could react, Cyan had removed herself from place and approached the Gryffindor. Aion's eyes followed the girl, both in shock and awe at how she was very quickly handling the situation. Whenever he'd tried to explain himself, Maddie had bitten his head off, but as Cyan was hugging it out he let the girls do their thing. In the corner of his eye, he spotted another figure, and jumped up from where he'd been sat to find James. It didn't take a genius to realise why he was here, but the shock of seeing the pair together hurt less than he'd expected it to. Although unconfimed, if Maddie was now with James, at least she'd stop feeling hurt over him. He flashed the boy a glare as he commented once again about his choice of replacement. "She hasn't been replaced" He started quietly, knowing full well it would be easy to get into a petty argument. James would try to put down anyone he spent time with now it seemed. Although he didn't show it, he was still angry at the boy, angry for poking at the bears. "Why are you even here?" He asked quietly, not that an answer was truly needed.

He looked back to Cyan and Maddie, trying to hide his feelings. Everything she was saying was true, and he didn't want to intrupt her as Cyan seemed to be doing her best on their behalf. If Maddie really had moved on, Aion wondered why she was still so angry and upset. He tried to replay Cyan's word in his head, convincing himself that Maddie might let it go one day, but 6 months on she still apparently hated the sight of him. Had he done something terribly wrong in letting her go? The act of breaking up hadn't been pleasant, but perhaps his good intentions were worth apologising for too.

Another movement caught his eye, and he followed it to see a Hufflepuff he'd not spoken to for over a year. His very first friend Amy, who'd welcomed him to the school in his fifth year, seemed to have slipped by them and headed into the trees. It was only then that Aion clocked that two additional students were talking amongst themselves, and a feeling of dread washed over the Ravenclaw at the realisation they were in reach of overhearing everything.

To say the least,Danielle was surprised to see this many people in the forest on the day that she went there to be away and alone. Few moments of seeing Lyra slipped into the big tree, she spotted her new friend,Amy Rosemary, followed the Gryffindor. Sighing upon realizing that her moment of peace has ended,Danielle decided to follow the younger Hufflepuff. When she rounded by the tree, she saw that there was another student with them. She sat next to Amy as she greeted the other two,"Hey,guys. Got another room for one here?",she tried to muster a bright smile despite the heaviness she felt. "Come to see the show?",she asked as she nodded in the direction of the two pairs. Danielle glanced back at them to see if there were any development.

Lyra was Maddie’s roommate even if they had never been friendly ones. She smiled at Lanithro as he hugged her back. They hadn’t seen each other in a while and she had missed him. Even when they had been seeing each other, their friendship had always come first. She was about to answer his question when Amy Rosemary appeared. Lyra scooted over to make a little extra room for her friend. “I think Aion and Maddie’s relationship ended badly, but I’m not sure why. I know James doesn’t like him. He told me as much when I walked in on them arguing about it last year when we were dating—“ she said, keeping her voice down. “It’s obvious Madeline and James are together now so I’m surprised she even cares what Aion is doing.” Lyra said, expecting there to be more drama coming. She was hoping for a good show. Danielle appeared. Lyra has once been rude to her when she was having a bad day. She felt bad about it now so she smiled brightly at Danielle. “Hi! Do you know any more about this?” She asked Amy and Danielle curiously. Lanithro certainly wouldn’t know.

The idea of surprising James with a romantic night had flown out of the window for Maddie. She might have been able to save it if he hadn't had shown up before them in the clearing. She hoped that he hadn't heard too much of her tirade as he might misjudge her feelings towards Aion. Maddie was still bitter about the break up but her romantic feelings were all for James. She appreciated the support from her boyfriend with his scathing comment but it backfired when the girl, who was lying all over Aion, bounded over to the Gryffindors. Maddie backed away a little when the girl decided to grab her and pull her into a hug. She turned to look at James in disbelief at the girls audacity to hug her. She placed her hands on the girl's shoulders and pushed her away a little "what are you doing?" she demanded. The girl with multicoloured hair had the strongest grip and no matter how much Maddie tried to wiggle her way out, she couldn't.

However, she was stopped in her tracks when the girl began to agree with Maddie and how she was feeling. She suddenly stopped struggling and listened to what she had to say. She found herself smirking when Danielle was mentioned. She was pleased to know that she wasn't the only one who found her intolerable. "Well, er.. thank you" Maddie mumbled, her demeanor softening considerably "what did she do to you? What did Aion tell you?" she asked as she looked to Aion who was standing nearby but his gaze had moved from them to somewhere over by the trees. Maddie followed his eye line and realised that they were not alone but being watched by four other students; two of whom she hated. She was surprised to see her best friend Amy sitting next to Lyra and found herself wondering how long they had been friends. She nudged James with her free hand to look over into the trees "we're not alone anymore" she whispered to him.

Lyra saying hi to Danielle took her by surprise but quickly masked it with a smile of her own. She had thought this Gryffindor had ill feelings toward her but it seemed that it could be chalked up to a bad day for Lyra. When asked about the other four far from where they were, she just shook her head, giving Lyra a glance."Not really. All I know is Cyan and Aion are hanging out but that's as far as I know.I'm not sure what was the deal with Maddie though."She leaned against the tree as she thought about the past events. If only she didn't go to the kitchens, they would still be friends. But that was all in the past and she just had was the pain her actions brought her.

The Hufflepuff seventh year looked back at the two pairs just in time to see Maddie started pushing Cyan away. This made Danielle about to stand and go to her fellow house's side when she saw Maddie stopped struggling and listened to the other girl. Danielle sat back down and watched them converse. Just then,Maddie's eyes went over to where they were and spotted them. Danielle sighed,"Guess we're found." She waited for any movement or reaction from her companions.

Cyan was more than pleased when the girl stopped trying to push her away and instead listened to what she had to say. It seemed that her koala-like tactics worked on her. Upon being asked about Danielle's behavior Cyan didn't hold back explaining about the night in the kitchens and how Danielle had talked down to Cyan. Which after hearing Aion talk about his previous encounter in the forest he discovered maybe it was a common theme with the girl. The only details she retracted were her calling Danielle a mud blood, and the fact that she had used Kissing Aion as a weapon. Everything else was free game. After she stopped talking she noticed that everyone had been lookin somewhere else and she followed their eyes up to the tree. Removing her wand she lit the tip, and her eyes landed on Danielle first, Amy, a girl she knew from her dorms, some brunette and... Lanithro Styx.

Cyan thought for a moment he'd worry about her company, but she didn't think Amy was pure, and knew Danielle wasn't. So she worried less about him calling her out. "You guys wanna come down and talk?" She asked with a bright, naive smile. Inviting them into their group.

Two others, Hufflepuffs to boot, came in and joined. Lyra had a lot of friends, whereas Lanithro's bad attitude kept others away. Lanithro's face hardened slightly as Amy and, someone else, sat down. Normally a boy his age would be excited about being surrounded by girls, but this was not the case. Lanithro sighed as he heard something about Maddie and James, something with Aion (he was wrong with the name) and with Cyan. A little surprising with how she carried herself. Lanithro shrugged his shoulders, "I almost wish I had some popcorn. But, it also seems like the girl, Maddie, still has feelings. Otherwise, she just wants all the attention, in my opinion." Having an ex pine over someone was just cruel. Lanithro never did such a thing for Lyra, and expected none of the above. Lanithro brushed his fingers through his hair, suddenly wishing that he was somewhere else, though the drama, he had to admit, was fairly interesting. "Caught or not, don't care. Better them than a professor." Lanithro put his notebook into his messenger bag, and closed it.

James was surprised to see the girl Aion was with make her way towards Maddie. He watched on nervously not sure what she was going to do or say. The comment she made to him feel a little guilty and he felt even more so when she flung her arms around Maddie and told her how she thought Aion should have apologised to her. James hadn't given any thought to the girl before he insulted her, but he had been defending Maddie and that was something he would never apologise for. He shrugged his shoulders when Maddie turned to him in disbelief, the girl was certainly strange but her tactic to diffuse the situation had certainly worked, Maddie didn't appear to be angry anymore.

The moment soon passed and Maddie drew his attention to some other people who were hiding out in a tree. James squinted to get a view of their guests and he spotted Amy, Lyra, Aion's other girlfriend and a boy he didn't know. James couldn't help but wonder what Amy was doing being so chummy with his ex girlfriend. For a girl who always assured him she was his friend and had his back, she wasn't backing it up with her actions. "Even now we can't get away from her," He whispered back to Maddie, referring to Lyra. He would keep his feelings about Amy's presence to himself for now though he wondered if Maddie felt equally betrayed by her so called best friend.

Lyra smirked at Lanithro and his comments. He was still one of her best friends even if things hadn't worked out. She had never regretted their relationship, and she didn't harbor any romantic feelings towards Lanithro. "Yes, she definitely likes the attention." the Gryffindor girl said. As the attention turned towards her group, Lyra shrugged her shoulders. "I was never trying to hide." Lyra said with sweet smile. She hopped down off the tree and walked into the circle. "James, Maddie. I'd say it's a pleasure to see you, but it's not." she said flatly. She didn't really want to have anything to do with James or Madeline. She was over them and their hypocritical attitudes. "I don't think we've met. I'm Lyra Potter." she said, to Aion and Cyan. "Danielle, Amy, and Lanithro, in case you don't know them either." she said helpfully to the foursome.

Aion was about to say something, as he watched the four students sat on the tree, but before he could both Cyan and Maddie call them out on it. The seventh year watched as a loud girl came over to them, and he immediately frowned. Although he'd never met her it wasn't hard to place a name to this personality, after all he'd heard enough about James's ex-girlfriend and her relationship with Maddie to realise it was Lyra. As soon as she spoke to James and Maddie, Aion was unimpressed with the tone in her voice, and fought the urge to hit back with something. So far, he hadn't really needed to get involved, but as he glanced back to Danielle and realised they were in company, his defensive stance increased.

Aion took a step forward towards them, hoping to stop them in their tracks before they got too close. He didn't recognise the boy, and he knew Amy well enough to know she wasn't a threat, but Aion continued to eye up Danielle and Lyra He already didn't like what this was turning into. "Apparently some people don't have enough going on in their own lives" He stated. They always seemed to be caught in some drama one way or another, and the Ravenclaw didn't appreciate them lurking around when they were having a private discussion. He didn't care how long they'd been there, hiding out in the bushes, but the decent thing would have been to leave and walk away now they'd been discovered. Aion was confused enough as it was with the current unfolding events, but seeing two people that he knew didn't have the best intentions come forward made his blood boil. He glanced towards Lanithro, but the name didn't ring any bells. Whoever he was, Aion hoped he wasn't going to make things worse.

Cyan was more than oblivious to tension around them. She'd seen Lyra hanging around Lanithro, so she assumed that the pretty brunette was a pureblood as well. "Hello!" Cyan moved over to the girl and hugged her without a thought, just as she had Maddie. "Though I would be careful hanging out with her kind." She spoke, eyes glancing over to Danielle. Cyan's brown orbs shifted once more to Amy, whom she at least knew in bits and pieces. "Amy you're looking good." She spoke. Cyan wanted to make sure everyone got a personal greeting so she then moved on to Lanithro. "Lanithro, I've heard about you through the grape vine. Good to hear that a dorm mate has been lucky enough to keep good company." Of course Lanithro was not exactly good company in the way that his personality was excellent. No it was good company for Amy because she was lucky enough to hang around a pureblood from a family as powerful as the Styx's. Cyan moved to almost create a group circle, it was such fun to have everyone here. The only person she'd want to get rid of was Danielle, but the girl had been quiet so Cyan had no worried when it came to her.

"Anyways." She turned to Maddie. "I was thinking you me, some ice cream?" She inquired, deciding to make friends with Aion's ex, so that perhaps they could all hang out together. "Of course, once you lose your attitude you can join, boy." She said in Jame's direction, not really sure if James was his name and not wanting to get it wrong. "Oh we could all study together too!" She offered excitedly, looking at the other sixth years, apparently the only one excited by all of this.

Danielle was thinking over what the other students discussing. She was also part listening to what Lanithro said about the James-Maddie-Aion situation.Laughing lightly at the popcorn line, she just stared at the other group blankly, her thoughts not really in the present.

The Hufflepuff must have spaced out and did not realize that Cyan called them over. That is until Lyra already went over to them, followed by Amy and Lanithro. She tried to stop them but it was too late. "You guys,I don't think- -"Too late. Lyra already announced their names to the others. All Danielle did was turn her jead away from their faces, especially toone particular person and just gazed into the trees. She intentionally distanced herself from the people and came here but fate was not on her side today. She just listened to whoever answered Lyra and her heart sank upon hearing the cold tone of that friend,or was it ex-friend,just said. Aion did not mention any names but he did not need to. It was clear as the sky who he was referring to. The normal Danielle would snap back in her defense but that Danielle seemed to be lost.

From the corner of Danielle's eyes, she saw Cyan approached Lyra and greeted her.Sayig something about hanging with 'her kind' did not escape Danielle and she immediately know it was directed at her. She did not need to look at her,and Aion,to be aware of their disdain toward her. Cyan moved on,greeting Danielle's other companions, purposefully leaving her out.

This and Aion's cold, harsh treatment stabbed her deeply. Instinctively, her hand went to her chest feeling the pain almost becoking physical as a tear escaped her eye. Tired of all this, she heaved a sigh, quickly wiping her eyes as she turned back to them.Cyan was just bubbly mentioning ice cream and group study like she could not feel the tension in the air. Now,Danielle understood what Silus meant by bubbly Hufflepuffs, all happy and preppy, and for once she agreed on this."And apparently some people always jump into conclusion.",she directed her statement to Aion, staring at him,not caring if he could see all the emotions she had been feeling and her tear-streaked face."Just for one mistake, they think they all have the right to judge that person and did not even hesitate condeming them the first chance they get." She kept on staring at Aion, not caring if there were other people there, nor if Cyan would slap her. Heck, she did not care about anything right now. She was just tired.Tired of bottling up all these emotions and go on each day, pretending everything was alright.

Cyan turned towards the Hufflepuff who was crying, and it felt in her bones as if the air had chilled. The blanket Cyan had gathered up she thrust toward Aion shaking her head. "Jumping to conclusions?" She inquired with a hollow laugh. "You are so cute. He left because you made someone he actually likes uncomfortable." She inched a little closer. She hated the way this blonde bimbo used tears to try and garner sympathy. "I mean is that all you can do is cry when a guy doens't pay you attention. Find some self worth that doesn't revolve around someone calling you pretty or hanging out with you." Cyan didn't mind that it was a little ugly to be mean, she was sure Maddie wouldn't mind either considering how Danielle had treated her when they'd last met. "Get your own life and stop latching onto Aion's, or mine, or Maddie's."

Cyan danced around the topic but upon the end of her argument she mouthed it, no one would hear her or see it, but she wanted so badly to say it: mudblood. It empowered her a little to remember that regardless on if Aion hated how mean she was in that moment, she was still better than Danielle by blood. Cyan turned around and smiled at Aion. "Can we go now, I think maybe we could sneak somewhere else for talking privately?" She inquired, looking up with large brown eyes at her companion, an open lipped smile on her face showing briefly her gaped teeth before she closed her lips around them again.

As Danielle approached their group, he noticed that she looked like she was in pain, almost crying. It was ridiculous, they'd barely even spoken to each other and the Hufflepuff seemed to have such an attachment on him. He refused to feel guilty for her feelings, and he watched as Cyan spoke out against her. "And it wasn't one mistake though, was it?" His voice growing louder as Danielle pushed his buttons. Aion caught Cyan's blanket, bundling it up him arms, his eyes not leaving the seventh years. The girl beside him seemed to be saying everything he was thinking, and the more Danielle tried to defend her actions, the more Aion was becoming hostile towards her.

Aion heard Cyan's request, but he wasn't finished here. As much as he wished he could go back to talking with Cyan, he wasn't going to miss an opportunity to settle things between both Danielle and Lyra. "I don't understand what you're looking for. Both of you" He added, looking between both students. Aion often didn't make enemies, but these two continued to cause problems even when they knew they were doing it. He became particularly aware of the placement of his wand, ideas flashing through his mind in case he needed to use it. "We shouldn't be the ones to leave." For the first time since joining Hogwarts, he felt like he had people worth standing up for.
