Sybil was eager to get practice underway and was ready to go the moment the whole team arrived. "Good morning everyone!" she said and tried to sound in charge. "I hope you're all ready to get to work. We have a game against Gryffindor fast approaching and we do not want to let them get the better of us." she announced. She felt a lot of pressure with this being her first year as captain and she knew she had a lot to learn. "You should all know what you're supposed to do. Let's go!" She blew the whistle she had around her neck and let go of the snitch and the bludgers before tossing the quaffle into the air. She waited a beat for everyone to get to work before kicking off into the air herself.

Luke was feeling a lot of pressure, although he was excited to prove to his Captain just how well he could play. He may have only been a second year, but he had plenty of experience under his belt, flying with his family. Picking up a beater bat and jumping on his broom, the Slytherin made for the skies.

It wasn't long before things were kicking off, and a bludger was headed in his direction. Facing it full on despite his slight trembling nerves, he thought about what his sister would do and smacked the bludger as hard as he could, watching as it sailed straight toward @Sybil St. James

(I'm so sorry)

Zeke was excited to play a different position this year. He wanted to make a good impression as chaser when he took early possession of the quaffle and flew with it tucked under his arm towards the hoops.

June tried not to pout when she got to practice. She had tried out for seeker but had some how gotten on the team as a beater. At least as she took to the air to hit a bludger or two her anger distracted her from her fear of heights. But when the captain got hit with a bludger right away she didn't do a very good job of hiding a grin.

Sybil quickly followed behind Zeke who had grabbed the quaffle first but was momentarily delayed as a bludger crashed into her. She took in a sharp breath but did her best to brush it off and kept going.

Alana got into the air and started looking for bludgers.

James got onto his broom and started looking for the snitch, eager to impress during his first practice.

Luke felt victorious as he made contact with the older girl, and didn't feel too bad about it when she seemed to be able to shrug it off. Maybe being hit by a bludger didn't actually hurt too badly.

June was pleased when she found a bludger rather quickly and swung. She wobbled a little on her broom after give the hit a bit more force than it needed. So she was a little surprised when it flew and hit the alternate seeker. @James Cosgrove

Sybil shook out her arm where the bludger hit as she continued to follow Zeke across the pitch. She was glad the beaters were doing well, but they should probably work on their aim.

Gaia arrived to practice, eager to get the ball rolling and blocking as many shots as she could. Hopping onto her broom the third year flew in front of her hoops.

Gaia kept hovering in front of the hoops, staring at her teammates wondering when one of the Chasers would come towards her to attempt a score.

Gaia wished she'd gone for a beater and that maybe a certain Gryffindor would have been in the team, that way she could smack them with a reason. Alas she was content with just guarding her hoops.

James was zeroed in on looking for the snitch that he didn't see the bludger coming until it hit him in the side.

Gaia kept to her hoops, watching the rest unbothered.

Gaia tilted her head as she watched her sisters classmate searching for bludgers. She wondered if Eris knew the beater that had the same last name as Freddie did.

Sybil saw an opening and grabbed the quaffle from Zeke. He was a new chaser so he'd have to learn to guard better than that as she sped up towards the hoops.

June kept flying, a little lower than some of the rest of the team, and kept her eye out for more bludgers to hit.

James didn't catch the snitch.

Alana didn't hit anything.

June saw a bludger and swung but missed. She just kept flying and hoped nobody saw that.
