Open Y51 Ilvermorny Quidditch Tryouts

Briony had been rather surprised that she had been given the spot of quidditch captain at such a young age and after having only been on the team a year. Then again, it just proved that she was that good and showcased her commitment to the team. The third year looked at the older students and took a deep breath. She knew there were people likely to be upset by her new leadership position, but she was just going to ignore them.

"Hi everyone, and welcome to Quidditch tryouts. I'm Briony, and I'm your captain this year. I'm excited to see so many people here, and we're going to make this simple. Those already on the team will help out, and if you're new, just tell me your name and what position you'd like to tryout for. Then, show us what you got. Got it?" she said, finishing off her speech.

Amias walked on to the pitch for the try-outs. He was eager to get in the air, so flew up when he could. Flying and quidditch were his favourite things.

Mason flew up in the air without a second thought and got to work. He hit as many bludgers as he could find, while also practising from defending shots, making sure that some of the bludgers didn't hit players. He managed to get a few hits on players as well.

The sudden move to America had been a struggle for Logan, but he was at least glad that he could try out for a new Quidditch team here. Imagine if the school didn't have one? He had been on the Slytherin team, and now he had been pulled away like it was nothing. It was honestly frustrating. He knew Hazel hated it just as much. The captain was just some kid, but that hopefully meant she wouldn't be hard to impress.

Logan nodded when it was his turn. "Logan Ashworth, chaser." He took to the air and managed to get his hands on the quaffle relatively fast. To his delight, he managed to score soon after. Managing to grab the quaffle again after a bit, Logan managed to score two more times. He hoped it would get him a spot on the team.

Briony watched the tryouts intently, and they took what seemed like forever. In the end, she noticed that they had lost their seeker, and since no one else tried out, she figured she'd have to play the position since too many people were interested in being chasers. It made her a little nervous, seeing as she had never caught a snitch before, but she figured that she could do it. After all, someone had the confidence to put her in as captain so she had to have confidence in herself, right?
