Aiya Owens-Lee
Slytherin Second Year
Lessons 1-3
Lesson One
Aiya’s break had gone fairly quickly, but she was keen to get back into the swing of things, especially now that she was feeling a little more confident in herself. She headed out of the common room for her first week of classes. With her backpack slung over her shoulder, she entered the Astronomy classroom for her first lesson of the semester. The professor began going over what they'd be learning. Aiya had read ahead in her textbook however and so she knew what was to be expected. At the professor's question, the girl raised her hand. "An ellipse is the way the earth goes around the sun, and it's an oval-shaped circle." she answered, smiling at receiving some points for her house. Eventually the lesson came to an end and Aiya headed straight to her next class.
Lesson Two
The second week came around quickly and Aiya still wasn’t sure how she felt about the classes she was taking. Some things were interesting, and some things really weren’t. At least she was having fun being a member of the Wild Patch Club, so she had something else to look forward to at Hogwarts. Because quite frankly, there wasn’t really much else that was interesting. With a sigh, the Slytherin followed her classmates to all of her classes for the day.
Aiya entered the Astronomy tower where the professor would be lecturing them. She took out her writing equipment so that she could try and keep up. She didn't mind the lecture, but just hoped that this semester wouldn't be full of them. It was important stuff at least about the sun, and the Slytherin was sure this would most likely come up in the exam. Eventually the lesson came to an end and the girl was able to head out.
Lesson Three
Aiya had to admit that she wasn’t as excited about her classes as she thought she would be. Most of them were boring and she was starting to feel a little trapped as she had no other choice but to attend them. She found that the best way to distract herself was writing letters back and forth to her family. The owls in the owlery were certainly very familiar with her now that she knew how to send the letters herself. She had just finished sending a letter and headed back down to attend her classes.
Aiya made her way to her Astronomy class, sighing as she entered the room and realised they'd have to endure another lecture. Surely there was a more fun way to learn everything? Reluctantly, the girl took out her writing equipment and followed the notes that were written on the board about the inner planets. The only reason she did this was because she wanted to pass her exams at the end of the semester. It felt like an eternity, but eventually the lecture came to an end and Aiya was quick to pack up her belongings and leave the classroom.
