Eli was still working on the roses, but when he found one last minute that was maybe missing from the initial pile or something, he turned to see if he could find the recipient. "Hey! Miles!" He only knew the boy from the fact he was on the Quidditch with his sister Rose. "Come here."

Miles was starting to dread every time someone wanted to talk to him around this time, and with all the roses out for delivery, he had been hoping to not have to go through the embarrassment of getting one. But, when an older boy he only recognized because of his quidditch playing siblings called out to him, he was already a little on edge about it. Though he still managed a smile as he complied with the request and came over, "What's up?"
 
Eli looked at the boy as he headed over and grinned, holding a rose up for him. He was busy trying to figure stuff out, so he didn't notice of the boy was a little apprehensive. "I have a rose for you, it's right..." he quickly looked for the rose and picked up the yellow one. "Alright this is it, here you go." He said holding it out to him.​

Just as he had been dreading, the older boy had a rose for him. Miles tries to look pleased about it, he really did, but the smile did end up falling off his face a little as he rather reluctantly took the rose. At least the note wasn't embarrassing, but it was still bad enough getting one of them in the first place. Still, he tried to look pleased about it as he glanced up from the note and rose in his hand again. "Thanks for the delivery."
