Normally, having someone over would have been a big no-no. But it was difference since Horror was technically an adult, and so was his twin. Horror was still in school and decided to invite Vannes over because one, it was sort of entertaining to the idea of them dating because both of their respective twins put them both up to it, and two, Vannes was not the absolute worst to keep around. He knew more annoying people, and Horror felt more comfortable around this girl. She was nothing like her sister, and that was among the best things about her - even if they looked the same sans outfits and styles. Horror brought in a couple of sodas for the two of them and plopped down on the couch next to her. His parents were out, and the place was a maze so it wasn't like they'd be disturbed. "How long do you want to keep doing this little charade?" Horror asked in his typical monotone voice.

Vannes took the soda with a small nod of thanks, honestly having a boy around to do things for her wasn’t so bad now that she was seeing it in action. She crossed one leg over the other and leaned back into the couch. She was pretty at ease, but she wanted to keep a careful amount of distance between them, since she didn’t actually like him or anything. That would have been ridiculous. Lying to Sophie’s face was bad enough, lying to herself would have been moronic. She looked over to him and raised an eyebrow when he spoke and scoffed. “Charade? Bit dramatic, non? Especially for someone who soupire en monotone." (sighs in monotone)

She took a slow sip of the drink he’d handed her and then glanced at the soda. New Zealand had the oddest tasting soda’s honestly. She preferred the french variety. She let the silence sit for a bit longer, letting it get to slightly uncomfortable before she opened her mouth again. “But I don’t know. As long as it gets our frères et sœurs (siblings) to stop matchmaking through sheer desperation? Might be worth it.” Then with a laugh she looked over at him. “Unless you’re catching des sentiments (feelings), Horror. In which case, I’m afraid I’ll have to throw myself off your ridiculously tall staircase.”

Was it not a charade? Horror thought it was the correct word, but then thought that it might have been just the language barrier between them. "I don't know how to define it considering it is simply acting, and that is what we are doing." Horror opened his own drink up and sipped it. He glanced over at her as she explained that she didn't know, and as long as it got their twins to stop, it might have been worth it. He was about to retort when she added whether or not he had feelings for her. "Don't flatter yourself, Vittori." Horror shook his head, knowing that if he did feel something, he might have had to take a long walk off a short cliff. He would never admit that his brother would have been right about anything, especially his love life. Or lack thereof. "Another thought came to mind. What if they don't stop after this is over?"
