Ilvermorny,Beauxbatons

Reeve was extra excited for today's game. He loved to get the chance to travel to other schools and breathe in the international fresh air. As the stands started to fill, he smiled, looking around at both teams as they prepared for the game today. He had no care about who would win, but he hoped it would be a nice, clean game with little shenangians.

When he noticed both captains, he called them over, hoping they could take the moment to look over the rules or answer any questions the students may have.

OOCOut of Character:
Arrivals only please. I encourage all players to use the time before the game begins to refresh your memory of the rules and gameplay.
Captains: Please make sure your teams are set in the QCP prior to posting your lineup.

Kit was looking forward to today's game. Her mom was in the stands, and she always appreciated the extra support, especially with traveling to France. The 6th year looked out at her team after talking with the ref and then took a breath. She felt like saying something positive, but she was exhausted from traveling and wasn't sure what would come out that was helpful. But knowing it was her job, Kit cleared her throat and took a swing at it. "Well, we're here! I think if we put our minds to it, we can beat Beauxbatons. I know last time they beat us, but my fellow chasers, if we keep on scoring and March, you find the snitch fast enough, we'll be golden. Beaters, target their seeker. You all know the drill. Best of luck!"

Hadrian was not feeling especially confident, but he wasn't about to let that show. Well, he hoped he wasn't. He probably didn't look great, but he tried to put on at least a sort of smile. It was kind of a grimace, but it would have to do. This may well be his last game, he thought, so he wanted to at least go out on a high.

Ray still didn't get why they couldn't just play baseball instead, but this would just have to do. He looked over at the Beauxbatons squad out of mild curiosity before turning back to Kit, nodding at her words.

Celestine had been kept busy with more music lessons and thus was a little off in Quidditch. But she had to put her best foot forward, even if her mind was elsewhere. She would be on stage soon - a role in a chorus, but still, importantly, on stage - and was very excited, and also a little cautious in how she'd be playing considering she needed to avoid major injury. Still, she had a duty to the team too and would try to keep her head in the game today.

"Let us give them a brilliant performance!
" Celestine said, encouragingly, after handing the team sheet to the referee. "You are all stars, so shine brighter than the Americans." She pronounced the last word with a slight disdain, but she couldn't help it. She was French, after all.

While Alicia obviously wanted to win this game, she didn't really love the idea of going against Hogwarts next. She tried not to think about it too much. She waited for the game to start impatiently.

Juneau enjoyed the games against Illvermory, she arrived ready to go and feeling as if they were the stronger team overall. She listened to Celestine then prepared to play.

elsie was excited for the game, and she had hoped they’d win the game. she gathered around with the rest of her teammates, listening to what the captain had to say, she for sure was going to try her best to try and help the team win!

mason was determined to win the quidditch match. they weren’t going to lose, and he was going to make sure of it. he quickly made his way to his team, only partly listening to what their captain had to say. he was more focused on winning.

Sophie arrived. Wow. She wondered if Terror would be watching.

Kirby quickly spoke to Sophie and then had a conversation with Celestine. She would sit out this game. Hopefully Sophie would be up to the task.

March was ready, whenever the game started he would be so ready.

Reeve took note of the last-minute switch for seeker from Beauxbatons and then blew his whistle. It felt like forever since he had last refereed a game and could feel the air buzzing with excitement as he held onto his broom. "We've gone over the rules, and both teams should have reviewed them in the locker rooms. Ilvermorny will guard the North hoops, and Beauxbatons will guard the South. Let's have a clean game. Shall we?" Reeve gestured so both teams could take to the sky.

Before getting on his own, he opened the chest, watching as the bludgers whizzed about and the snitch scampered off to do its own task. With the quaffle under his arm, he also joined the teams in the sky, tossing the quaffle into the open. "Game on!"

OOCOut of Character: Game Notes - please read

1. Be sure to review the rules. Any questions regarding the rules should be sent to your captain(s). If they cannot answer, they can PM me.
2. If you have any issues seeing the score on the referee's first post or with your access to the quidditch system, please send a PM including both me and your captain(s). It may be that they've forgotten to add you to the system or may be a bigger issue.
3. Dont forget to refresh the page before you post! Someone might sneak in a post while you are working on yours and first post counts.
4. You should always be pressing a button, whichever is appropriate for your game play during your post. Doing so boosts your success rate as well as allows the timer to kick in appropriately for your teammates and opponents.
5. After a player is hit by the bludger 3x, gameplay should stop. This allows for a quicker return to game post- substitution.
6. The game is meant to be interactive, so read your fellow players posts before posting! Stick with the game from beginning to end, from kicking off the ground to touching back down! Have fun!
7. As you are all in the same group and color, it would be most helpful for me if you consider including your school in your profile and/or utilizing the buttons with your school name.

Enzo quickly grabbed the quaffle and immediately went to try and score, missing.

The game got off so quickly and one of the Beauxbaton chasers tried to score, Summer was able to save it and threw it back into play.

March immediately kicked off into the the sky, searching for the snitch.

Kit was glad the game finally started and went for the quaffle, failing to grab it the first time. Once it was back into play, she claimed it for Ilvermorny, attempting a quick score like Beauxbatons had, but it failed to go through a hoop.

Sophie was surprised they were gonna let her play but flew off anyway, albeit a little slower than most other players.

March dived and dipped, looking for the snitch in all the little crevices he thought it might get into

Sophie should probably look for the snitch more than her boyfriend.

March looked around to see if the other seeker had found the snitch yet, but it seemed she had not, so he continued to keep looking.

Sophie was looking around trying to find her boyfriend in the Stands when she heard the very shrill scream of her seeker captain, “SOPHIE!” The sheer shock made her snap and turn her head and see the snitch flying near her head. It took Sophie two swipes and a swat before she caught the snitch in her hand. See? Easy! Just like practice. Now… where was her boyfriend. She deserves a kiss.

Reeve was monitoring the game when he saw the Beauxbatons seeker go quickly after something, coming up successful with the snitch. "Beauxbatons wins!" he called out.
