Quidditch Game: Ilvermorny vs Beauxbatons

Larissa rubbed her shoulder again as she looked for another bludger to hit.

Of course, since Nina was not normally a chaser, her aim was a little off and she missed the hoops when she attempted to score.

Celestine thought the beaters were giving the team more of a problem than the seeker, so she thought she might try and hit the bludgers to them. Maybe they could start rallying, like they were playing tennis. Tennis was a bit more fashionable than quidditch, after all.

Melrose was relieved when the French chaser didn't make her shot, glad that Beauxbatons hadn't managed to pull into the lead yet. Grabbing the quaffle, he nervously eyed the hoops across the pitch.

Hadrian was glad he at least had some stamina, enough to keep up with following along with his teammates even if he was getting tired.

Still aching from the hit earlier, Melrose turned to Hadrian with unsteady arms. It would be great to score again, but the fear of missing and handing Beauxbatons the lead was too great and Melrose gladly passed the quaffle over to @Hadrian Murphy instead.

This idea wasn't working as well as Celestine thought. Quidditch robes didn't look nearly as pretty as tennis whites, and bats were a little harder to swing. But she knew she was going to have great arm strength even if she wasn't hitting anyone, which counted for something, didn't it?

Vincent kept his eyes peeled for the snitch.

Light flew after a bludger.

Larissa looked for a bludger

Reeve called a pause to the game once more, watching as the player he'd been speaking to before needed removal from the game. The ref waited to see what decisions he would make before departing to meet with a school nurse.

OOCOut of Character:
time out for bludger hits

Vincent could not believe the luck. But after the last hit, he told the ref that @Niniane Archambeau will be taking over and he told that to her as well. She had done well with catching the snitch before too.

Reeve restarted the game.

OOCOut of Character:
Ilvermorny in possession. They have 3 hours 42 minutes to make a move before the quaffle is fair play.

Ocean could hardly believe they had managed to knock two of the other team's players out, even if the seeker had taken a little help from his own team member. Perhaps if Larissa and her kept this up they wouldn't even need Nabi to catch the snitch.

Melrose gripped the quaffle tighter as game was resumed, more than impressed with Ocean and Larissa today. With Beauxbatons' keeper looking a little worse for wear already and them down a chaser, he was hopeful he could get in another shot but fumbled the quaffle again as his own bludger injury twinged when he threw it, grimacing as it missed the hoops.

Things were looking a bit bad, Celestine thought, but she would just keep trying to hit bludgers and do her best.

Hadrian was kind of nervous that he'd get hit by a bludger sooner or later.

Nina, having scored a goal, now moved back over to her preferred position of seeker. Things weren't looking good, so she hoped she could catch the snitch soon.

Ocean chased a bludger.

Zoey sighed as Melrose missed but she could hardly be too upset with two Beauxbaton's players off the pitch. Maybe if Nabi couldn't catch the snitch anytime soon, Ocean might be able to force their team to forfeit by knocking out all their players.

Bellamy was getting nervous as his team was getting constantly hit. His own two bludger hits weren't treating him kindly either. But at least he was doing his job as he blocked Ilvermorny's shot and tossed the quaffle back into the game.

With Beauxbaton's down a chaser, Melrose suddenly found himself wishing Quidditch was played with larger teams, at least then he'd be a bit less noticeable when he kept missing his shots. Instead he lurked uneasily near the hoops, watching as the French chaser threw the quaffle back into play.

Celestine wasn't having much luck with hitting anybody, but she thought she was doing a pretty good job figuring the whole thing out on the fly.

Nina knew she really had to find the snitch quickly, else they'd have to forfeit by being too many players down, so she started looking somewhat frantically.
