Quidditch Game: Ilvermorny vs Beauxbatons

Melrose was glad the attention from his failed goal was quickly diverted when Beauxbaton's managed to hit their own seeker, though he winced in second-hand sympathetic embarrassment even if they were the opposing team as he waited for the quaffle to be thrown back in.

Ocean saw a bludger slam into the beauxbatons seeker and was about to offer Larissa an appreciative nod when she noticed the bludger had come from one of beauxbatons’ own beaters. Awkward.

Nina raised an eyebrow. Light was handsome, but maybe he wasn't cut out to be a beater. Still, she quickly went to take up the quaffle, even though she wasn't exactly practiced on chaser she had to try.

Hadrian stifled a laugh by turning it into an awkward cough as he followed behind the Beauxbatons chaser.

Celestine blinked a few times at Light, who had seemingly hit Vincent by accident. Even she hadn't managed anything like that. She was so startled that her own swing was a little wide, but at least the bludger she hit didn't hit anybody on her own team!

Vincent continued his search after he lost sight of the snitch.

Nina somehow managed to weave her way down the pitch, get the quaffle past the keeper and score. This wasn't so bad, she thought, grinning.

Light had to bite his cheek to keep from laughing. There was a reason why he was not a beater.

Hadrian was a little disappointed the new player scored so quickly but he took up the quaffle, looking to pass off to one of the other chasers if he got the chance.

Celestine kept an eye out for bludgers, giving a cheer when Nina scored.

Larissa managed to find a bludger and whacked it, hitting Beauxbatons seeker once more. At least Beauxbatons helped them out a bit.

Melrose bit back a groan when Beauxbaton's chaser managed to score immediately. At least Hadrian had the quaffle now and Larissa was doing a good job of finishing what that French beater had started for them in taking out the other seeker. Hopefully they just had to hold on a little longer without Melrose managing to make any embarrassing mistakes of his own.

Vincent grunted as he was hit again. Dang, was he going to need to be switched out too?

Nina was happy to have scored, but she was a little worried looking over at Vincent. She followed behind the Ilvermorny chasers, wondering if she could intercept some bludgers for the sake of it.

This time, Hadrian thought he'd return the favour. He got closer to the goals and then quickly looked over at @Melrose Miller , tossing the quaffle his way.

Celestine swung her bat as a bludger got near, figuring out that she had to send it away from Vincent or else he might get badly hurt. And she did, sending it careening towards the Ilvermorny seeker...or so she thought, as it collided with one of the chasers instead. @Melrose Miller

ooc: lmao sorry for the double tag

Melrose was sticking with Hadrian, nodding hesitantly when he saw Hadrian was lining up a pass. He realized belatedly he should have forced Hadrian to take the shot instead, his broom jerking dramatically as he was trying to line up a shot as the quaffle came into his hands. The bludger stung and Melrose was dimly aware of the quaffle falling far short of the hoops as his throw was interrupted, focusing instead on steadying his broom and willing the stinging pain of the bludger away.

Light continued to look for another bludger.

Larissa managed to find another bludger, and whacked it toward the seeker, but the theme of hitting beaters continued as @Celestine Gauthier took the hit instead.

Vincent was just one more hit away from being replaced, which he hoped would not be the case.

Melrose doubted Larissa did it on purpose (in fact he wasn't even totally sure she knew he existed), but he still appreciated when she returned a bludger right back to the French girl who'd just hit him, still hanging back as he tried to catch his breath.

Nina took up the quaffle, knowing she was fresher than the others. Plus, she liked speeding down the pitch.

Celestine yelped in pain, swinging to try and swat the bludger away. It was inevitable, but it wasn't cute.

Vincent continued his search.

Light looked for another bludger to hit.
