FULL NAME
Zander Jacob Ellison
MEANING
Zander - The name Zander literally means "Defender Of The People" and is a diminutive of Alexander, it is greek in origin
Jacob - From the Latin Iacobus, which was from the Greek Iakobos, which was from the Hebrew name Ya'aqov. In the Old Testament, Jacob is the son of Isaac and Rebecca and the father of the twelve founders of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was born holding his twin brother Esau's heel, and his name is explained as meaning "holder of the heel" or "supplanter". Other theories claim that it is in fact derived from a hypothetical name like Ya'aqov'el meaning "may God protect".
Valentine - From the Roman cognomen Valentinus which was itself from the name Valens meaning "strong, vigourous, healthy" in Latin.

WHY
Zander's name was picked by his parents at random, well, really they both picked a name they liked and flipped a coin to see which would come first and which would come second. His parents didn't think they were even going to have a kid, so when they found out they were going to have a baby they thought it would be their only chance so rather than name hime after anyone, they both selected a name at random that they actually liked and then between them decided which one would come first and which one would come second, which was how Zander ended up with the first name Zander, which had been his father's choice and the middle name Jacob, which had been his mother's choice. Zander doesn't mind the story of how he was named. He likes being able to have a very unique and different story to tell. He also actually really likes the name itself, it's not the most common name, or the most normal of names, but he really likes it. He likes the way it sounds when people say it. He also loves the second name Jacob, while a little bit more normal than Zander, he enjoys it he likes having this information about his name and why his parents choose it like they did. While they were still alive neither of them really regretted it, they both thought after their last child that they'd perhaps wasted the chance with his name, but they always enjoyed it, and knew they'd done right. His surname, Valentine, that Zander has hated for years. He has never liked it, and has always hated having it. He didn't used to, but after his parents died and he went through years of hell, he just wants to change everything about himself. The surname he hates because of the things he'd lived through because he was a member of the family. He hasn't changed it because despite it all he can't do that to his parents. The surname Ellison is his wife's surname, he decided to change it when they got married because he just wanted to be a new person and no longer who he'd become because of his family.
NICKNAMES
Zander has never had, nor does he respond to any nicknames. He has never liked nicknames and always told people to not bother with them as he was growing up. The only people who ever got to were his siblings, the youngest of them for obvious reasons. Zander has never liked any nickname really, even the ones he'd been given from his siblings, he just doesn't enjoy them and thinks of them as exceedingly annoying. It's one of the few things Zander might actually really get annoyed about, he just doesn't understand why the person can't just say the full name, it would take them all of about two seconds to do that, so he doesn't understand why people don't.
AGE
Zander is currently 31 years old. He hasn't truly celebrated his birthday since his parents died. He just can't bring himself to. He find it too hard, and just too many memories to be able to do anything. At most he'll split some cake with his family those that know when it is, but he doesn't like gifts and he doesn't really like being around other people at the time. He would much, much rather be alone.

May 24th 2007, Zander was born on time, though the doctors were incredibly worried about his birth due to the previous issues that his mother had had with other pregnancies, they fear that something would go wrong, but when he was actually born which ended up being at home rather than at hospital he was born with little to no issues. His mother suffered from a few complications but was in the end fine, they both spent two weeks in hospital just to monitor incase anything went wrong following the birth, but everything was fine. Zander was born at around three thirty in the morning, about an hour after her water broke. Despite being the quickest birth, it was the only one that had complications of any kind. After this, Zander's parents had no problem having children.
PROFESSION
Zander left school at seventeen, shortly after his birthday when his parents died at the end of his sixth year. He never graduated but did complete his NEWTs when he was twenty at home. He has mostly worked for muggle companies which allow him to work from home, though currently he works from home in New Zealand for an insurance company that deals both with muggle and with wizards. He works at home most days and bends his work around his family. Ever since he left school Zander has been busy with his siblings and his daughter, and being single has meant that he needed to be at home. He doesn't like working in an office and he would hate having to see the same people everyday.
FATHER

Robin Valentine Sr. He was born and raised in a magical area of England, he was the only son of his parents, who died a little before he did. He attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor. He married his girlfriend straight out of school, and ended up working in the ministry of magic for four years before deciding he wanted to spend his life helping others, so devoted much of his life to charity work, mostly with muggles. He was a caring and loving person, and was incredible pleased of his large family.
MOTHER

Marina Valentine, was born and raised in Dublin Ireland, but moved to England when she was twelve. She was the youngest of her family and had a twin sister. Marina attended Hogwarts Scotland and was also a Gryffindor. She wanted a huge family and despite how long it took her to have children she was exceedingly pleased that she could. Marina's family are not in contact with Zander and haven't been since she died. Marina was an artist and did a lot of artwork and sold much of it, but she was largely a stay at home mother, proudly so too.
SIBLING(S)
Ciel Valentine and Kyle Valentine, Ciel is the oldest of the second set of twins, born ten minutes apart, they attended durmstrang, and were the bullies of the family, they left Zander mostly alone but were horrible to the rest particularly Kailey. After leaving durmstrang they stayed at the house for a while before leaving. They would often call and write to check in but when Zander was 25 they disappeared without a trace, Zander hasn't heard from either in over six years, there has been no sign of them since. Zander has frequently tried to find them, but all attempts have failed, they would be 26 years old.
Jamie Valentine - 17, Durmstrang, about to graduate in year 2038, wants to be a dragon trainer. She and Zander used to be very close, but as she attended Durmstrang, they grew apart and Zander misses her dearly.

She is not biologically Zander's daughter, she is Zander's niece, she is Zander's sister, Mara's daughter. Zander has no idea who the real father is, or where his sister is. He has tried really hard to just give her the best chance possible. Zander loves his daughter more than the world itself and really considers her nothing less than his own daughter. Zander doesn't think he'll ever tell her about who she really is. He doesn't want to lose her, but he doesn't think telling her would ever make her feel good.

Zander does not currently own any pets, he used to own an Owl, for school purposes but he gave it to Jamie and Tyler when they went to Durmstrang so that they could keep in touch with him. He doesn't see the owl very often. Aside from that Zander doesn't have any pets, Abby, his daughter wants a dog, but Zander isn't too keen on animals, he knows that as cute as they are, he'll be the one that will end up having to look after it, and he's not particularly interested in doing that. He doesn't know how to really look after pets, and while he knows he could really use a companion of sorts at times, he knows he'll wait until Abby's in magical school before he does that.
BLOOD STATUS
Zander's parents were Mixed Blood which also makes him mixed blood.
THOUGHTS ON BLOOD STATUS
Zander has never cared for blood status. He has never bought into any of it. He knows that it doesn't matter what you are, or that's what he truly believes. Zander was raised in a very magical home, and he has never thought anything bad about the muggle world. Now, he lives far more within the muggle world, he finds it easier and knows that if he fails within the magic one that he can always fall back upon the muggle. He doesn't like some of the inventions that muggles have, like cars and such, but he doesn't mind being around them, and definitely doesn't think of himself as better than them in the slightest.
HOMETOWN
London, England. They lived near to the magical area of London for most of Zander's life. It was a large home, that was helped through magic to accommodate all of his brothers and sisters. Zander loved his old home, he was sad to leave it when he did, but he couldn't have taken another day in the house. It holds too many memories of people no longer with them. After he broke up with his long term girlfriend that was the final straw, he couldn't take it any more which is why he then moved to New Zealand.
CURRENT RESIDENCE
Dunedin, New Zealand, he bought a home within a suburb of Dunedin, a nicely muggle suburb which he found himself really enjoying. It was the fresh start that he really needed and though things haven't so far been great he loves the home and wouldn't change it for the world. It's just the right size for what his left of his family, and he can much more easily protect it. He finds the solitude of the house inviting too. Enough away from others that they won't hear or see anything.
PREVIOUS HOMES
FIRST HOME: Zander has only lived in two places his entire life, the first would be the family home he remembers, this was the one he stayed in after his parents died. Zander didn't know where else to go and with little knowledge of how housing worked, he just stayed at the house, knowing he could and was able to continue paying for the stuff that needed paid for. Zander's home was a large home, since he has a large family that with the use of magic grew in size following every child his parents had after him. It was modestly decorated though a little all over the place considering bother of his parents liked different things and had their own little touches throughout the house. He loved it, but it was too empty at a certain point and held too much, so Zander decided to move.
SECOND HOME: This home is far more suited to Zander than anyone else, it's his style he decorated it how he liked it, exactly how he liked it and not how others would. It's a two story house with five bedrooms, one for each of them and a spare one incase any of his siblings stop by, none have so far but just in case. Zander liked being surrounded by muggles and enjoys having a garden. He enjoys being able to just spend time in it with his daughter. He likes every part of the house and would exchange nothing for it.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION
Straight, Zander has kissed a boy before, but he really didn't like it, and has never been attracted to guys at any point during his life, and so he has taken from this that he is straight.
CURRENT RELATIONSHIP STATUS
Single, Zander hasn't been in a real relationship since he was his last relationship and doesn't particularly want to get into a new one. He has been single for a lot of his life and that was his first real, true relationship and it ended pretty badly, so he's not quite good for dating again for a little while.
FIRST KISS
Zander's first kissed happened fairly early on in a clumsy and poor way, him and his best friends in second year at Hogwarts had been talking and after Zander had comforted her, she leaned in for a kiss. They kissed, and it was wet and sloppy and Zander rejected it pretty strongly. He was too young in his own eyes and had no interest. They did remain friends following it, and also promptly both seemed to forget about the kiss entirely.
FIRST FRENCH KISS
Zander was in his fifth year of school, and had been crushing on a girl pretty hard, and eventually they got together. It was the back of a charms classroom when they first kissed. It was childish and a little bad but, they were young and Zander liked her so that was all that mattered. They didn't however last long in a relationship.
PAST RELATIONSHIPS
Zander has never been good at holding down a relationship, but with Peyton his last relationship things were different, they met when Zander was twenty four, just after Abby was born, and the two got along like wild fire. Zander loved her with all his heart, she was the light in his life aside from his daughter, everything about her he loved, but when everything else had been crumbling Zander folded in on himself slightly and then out of the blue when Zander was twenty eight and they'd been dating about 3/4 years, she broke it off, with little to no explanation.
FLINGS
Zander doesn't often go for flings, he didn't particular have the time to. Sometimes he will seek something out because he feels like he needs the company but, Zander is just the kind of person who doesn't really. He doesn't particular feel the need to be with someone. Sometimes he does however find flings easier than anything else.
THE FIRST TIME
This was a little over a year after his parents died, and Zander had just been so busy looking after his siblings that he'd just not been taking care of himself and he had a really bad weekend and decided he needed a break, so he got his sister, the eldest after him to look after thei siblings as he went out. He ended up going home with a girl and spending the entire weekend at her place. Zander has no idea who this is, or what happened to her, he just needed a break and she was the perfect break for him.

HAIR COLOUR
Not unlike most of his family, Zander has dark brown hair, as a baby and toddler it was a bright colour, but changed before he hit the age of five and became a dark brown colour. He keeps it at a fairly good length, he cuts his hair himself, and doesn't normally do much with it. It stay pretty messy most of the time, which is why he keeps it cut. He doesn't particularly like dealing with his hair so he always tries to keep it out of his face, as difficult as that can occasionally be.
EYE COLOUR
Zander's eyes used to be a bright green colour when he was young, but they changed as he grew up and became a dark greenish/brown colour. He's fairly certain that he gets these from his father, whom he remembers having similar eyes, but Zander knows that he could be very wrong about this. Zander likes his eye colour, he thinks that it's a fairly good, solid colour. He doesn't like people looking at him or his eyes too long, so he likes that they aren't of a colour that would stand out again his fairly pale skin.
BIRTHMARKS
Zander has no visible birthmarks, he was born with a few small birthmark on the top of his thigh and hip but that is about it. He has a small scar on his right arm, where he cut himself in the local park when he was eight. Aside from that, Zander has nothing else noticeable. He is pretty happy with the way that he looks and is neither annoyed nor frustrated by the lack of birthmarks, Zander is completely indifferent to them.
BODY TYPE
Zander has always been tall, he stopped growing when he hit 6ft but, because of his thin, slim frame, he gives the impression of someone taller. He doesn't work out all that much and spends most of his time behind a desk, or lying around, but he balances this out by eating fairly well, or at least when he does eat, it is likely be fairly healthy food that he is eating. He hasn't always been great at cooking, so he used to eat a lot of takeout food while in London, until Peyton, at which point with her guidance he began to learn how to cook, now while still pretty bad at it, he has gotten far better and because of this he can actually eat healthily. Though, Zander is still prone to the odd unhealthy meal.
BLOOD TYPE

Zander has never needed to receive blood but after Kailey had a pretty bad fall, likely he assumed caused by either Ciel or Kyle, he needed to donate blood. It was at this time that Zander found out his blood type, and he made sure that everyone else in the family did too. When Abby was born he did the same with her, he made sure that he knew everyone's blood type in the case of an emergency just so that if ever things went wrong he would be able to help with ease.
WHICH HAND?

Zander has always been right handed, the only one of his family who was left handed was his father, Zander had originally wanted to be just like him, so had started writing with his left, but his writing was always terrible, it wasn't until they got Zander to try writing with his right hand, that his writing improved. He was fairly sad that he didn't write like his father, but Zander did get over it pretty quickly. He enjoys writing, and enjoys his right being the dominate hand, occasionally he will go back to writing with his left, just because he enjoys the challenge and seeing how bad his writing is.

Having been born and raised in England, Zander has a very clear London accent. It is not as bad as some others but most would consider it to be at the very least an incredibly clear accent. He doesn't have any problems being understood in New Zealand, though it took him about a day to get used to the New Zealand accent.
I CAN SPEAK
Aside from bits and pieces of various other languages, Zander can only speak fluent english. He has never had to learn anything else, so he never did. Zander has managed to get by pretty well with only this one language and though he feels it would be good for him to know another one, he knows it is likely far too late for him to do so.
I AM ALLERGIC TO
Zander is not allergic to anything, because of the feared complications associated with his birth, upon him being born they tested him for allergies and various other conditions all of which came back negative, Zander is not allergic to anything, and he is pretty pleased about that. It is a trait he shares with most of his family members, most of them are not allergic to anything so he is thankful for that when he was first starting out looking after them and had no idea how to cook.
PERSONAL STYLE
He doesn't have a personal style so much as, he hasn't changed his clothes in about ten years. Zander buys the same sort of clothes, large jeans, t-shirts, jumpers and sweaters. He opted for comfort in his clothes more than anything. He's not a fancy person, he'll get a suit for work, but his suits are hardly something to be envied, they are cheap and ill suited to his lean frame. He just wears whatever is cleanest, he doesn't really care about things being too small or too big, or incredibly worn. This was never to do with money or a lack of it, Zander just wears the same clothes because he doesn't like change. His style has been mostly the same since he left school, and he enjoys that. he doesn't like changing his clothes, he doesn't like wearing brand new jeans. He likes things just the same, which is how best to describe his style, as well as calling it lazy casual.

GOALS
Zander no longer really has any goal for himself, they pretty much just range from getting through the day and having enough energy by the end of the week to spend time with his daughter. Zander's goals used to be that he would one day release an album, but he knows that will never become true, so he just wishes that all of his family, the ones left, and his daughter managed to find and get everything they want from life. He doesn't want them to ever have to deal with any of the stuff that Zander has, he would do everything he could to protect them.
BOGGART
His daughter dead, he would just see her body in front of him, and know she was dead and it would kill Zander. Losing his daughter would be worse than all of the other deaths in his life combined. He just wouldn't know what to do with himself if he lost her. Even though he isn't her father, Zander loves her so much, and even seeing her dead would just cause anguish within the man, he would barely be equipped to deal with it.
PATRONUS
Zander's would be an English Angora, which is a type of rabbit. The Angora is one of the oldest types of domestic rabbit, originating in Ankara (historically known as Angora), present day Turkey, along with the Angora cat and Angora goat. The rabbits were popular pets with French royalty in the mid-18th century, and spread to other parts of Europe by the end of the century.
PATRONUS MEMORY
Though Zander has had a lot of terrible things happen to him, there are moments of light within his life, and easily the patronus memory would be of the first time Abby spoke, she said Dada, and though it was jumbled, she had been jumping up and down in her crib saying it over and over while pointing at Zander. Zander had been so overjoyed at it, so happy about it, he'd cried tears of joy. Sweeping her up in his arms and just showering her with kisses.
DEMENTOR
For Zander there are so many memories for him to pick from, he would be a dementor's feast because of all the negatives in his life. There could be the day he found out his parents were dead, the day that Kailey died, the day that Ciel and Kyle disappeared and there was nothing Zander could do, the day Justin died, the day Mara arrived at the house with a baby in her arms, the day Peyton left. Zander thinks that he's barely keeping it together. There are so many bad memories for him to pick from, so many nights filled with tears and barely keeping it together. Zander knows that if ever he came across a dementor he would really struggle to fight back. They on the other hand would have a feast with it.
VERITISERUM
This is for Zander a difficult thing, he wishes many things and he keeps a lot of things really deeply hidden. He's had to hide his feelings and thoughts from his family and he knows that he's just brimming with different things he would say, but as much as he loves and cares for his family he knows that if he was forced to tell one of his biggest, and deepest secrets it would be that some days he would rather his parents had lived and he'd been the one that died. Zander would never say this out loud, he knows that it's pointless to wish such things because of everything that's happened, but he would say that, admit that.
MIRROR OF ERISED
Zander would see all of his family again, all together, his parents, all of his siblings, his daughter with her mother as much as he loves her, he knows that she would love to be with her mother and father whomever that father may be. Zander would see them all together, he would see his parents being the ones to look after his family and their family would be together and able. He would see Peyton standing by his side and everything would just be right with the world. He wouldn't even see himself as anything other than what he is now, just surrounded with his family and for once in his life really truly very happy.
AMORENTIA
Zander would smell his old house, he'd smell his parents old bedroom, the smell of his father's aftershave and his mother's perfum, he'd smell his sister's dinners and his brother's alcohol induced vomit. Zander would smell most things which he would associate with home, because those are smells he loves and misses. He would smell sun cream and the old varnish smell, Zander would smell his old guitar and the guitar case. He would smell everything that used to once make him happy because as it is the potion of love, Zander just wants love back in his life. Even in the form of siblings, or parents.
I LOOK UP TO
Zander will always look up to his parents, because he feels that they were amazing people, and that compared with him as a parents he just fails. Out of all of his siblings Zander spent the most time with his parents. They were always there for him, and he is sure they raised him pretty well, he didn't used to look up to them, but he definitely does now, knowing how hard it is to raise children and lots of them. He respects them more than anything in the world, and looks up to the example they set him, though he doesn't think he'll ever be able to live up to or them. They may have been dead for a good number of years, but Zander will never stop looking up to them.
RELIGIOUS BELIEFS
Atheist
Zander was raised as a catholic despite the fact his family was magical, and while for a brief period of time after his parents died his faith returned to him strongly, everything that has happened to him since has made him question and move away from every piece of faith he ever had. Zander sometimes goes to church when he has nothing left to do, but often he just sits in silence and questions it all. He considers himself an atheist, though he would turn back to God if someone or something gave him a reason to. Zander has lost all of the faith he once had in everything, he has lost faith in everything. He questions what he might've done to have deserved all that has happened.

The best way to describe most of what Zander does would be tired. Zander is exhausted, for him every day is a struggle. Zander is sad, for lack of a better word. He works hard and provides everything he can, he is loyal to those he love and a very family oriented man. He'll always help those in need but at this point it is hard to get close to him. THOUGHTS ABOUT WAND
Zander had been waiting for his wand, he was so excited about getting it. It was just everything he could've want. It was the perfect length for him, he liked the core more than anything, he knew it was perfect for him. He's never had any issue with the wand, or found it to be difficult to manage. Zander loved the wand the instant it was placed in his hand, and despite the price of wand, his parents had been happy to get it for him. Zander feels like his wand is the only thing that will stick with him through all of his troubles. He loves his wand, and without it, he would feel incomplete.
SCHOOL

FIRST THOUGHTS
Zander was so excited to attend school, he'd never been particularly studious, but he was looking forward to spell casting and all that came with that. The boy had been nervous about attending, he hadn't ever been away from his family too long, and he unlike the rest of his siblings that had been born at the time that Zander was first at school had a twin, he was without, so he was incredibly nervous about it. He didn't know what to expect but when he arrived he spent the first twenty minutes just staring at everything around him. He loved the great hall, he loved the staircases, the paintings, everything. There was not one thing out of place to the boy. It had been the most incredible building, castle that Zander had ever seen.

Zander was nervous as hell, both of his parents were gryffindors and as their first born, Zander felt like he too should be a gryffindor. After all he was their first son, and he was always trying to be like his parents. When sorting began, the boy grew increasingly nervous. He just didn't want to let his parents or his family down, so he just wanted to be a gryffindor so badly. Finally when it came to him, Zander was sweating all over, he was internally freaking out, but he managed to get into Gryffindor.
PREVIOUS YEARS
1ST - 3RD YEARS: During these first years Zander tried hard, he went to his classes did what he could, but he also became very interested in music. To him, it was just perfect, so between all of his classes, him and a few other Gryffindor friends would sit around practicing songs and just messing around with each other and respective instruments. Zander joined a few clubs, but not too many. He stayed on top of his work, but never really gave it his all. In his mind he would leave school and be a musician, if things hadn't turned out like they did, he assumes he'd be doing that.
4TH - 6TH YEARS: During these years, nothing much changed, he did his OWLs in school and ended up doing pretty well. Despite what most thought about Zander, he worked in his classes, well most of them at least, he didn't really involve himself much within the school and stuck mostly to himself. Zander didn't give much thought to his future, his dream of being a musician was still pretty strong, until his parents died towards the end of sixth year, which was why Zander left Hogwarts and did not graduate.
YEAR OF GRADUATION
Zander did not graduate from Hogwarts, due to his parents death, he dropped out of school to look after his family. Had he stayed in school he would've graduated in 2025.
POSITIONS ACHIEVED
Zander didn't achieve any positions, he never studied well, he never really took part in things, him and his friends just lived their own little lives and didn't really spend much time with others. He didn't particularly want any positions and was happier for the people who did get them. He preferred playing his guitar to having to do anything else.

BEST CLASS
Astronomy was Zander's best class, it was also his favourite, he was good at the subject and he found it interesting. The professor liked him, and he was fairly laid back so he was just able to relax with his friends at the back of the room every time. The professor and Zander got along fairly well and because of this Zander always did the work for the class, as well as messing around, he struck a balance between the two things.
WORST CLASS
Herbology was by far Zander's worst class, he was so happy when he finally was able to drop it. The professor didn't like him, and he didn't like the class. He hated getting his hands dirty and having to deal with the different plants. He hated having to listen to the professor drone on about things. He hated everything about it. There was not one things Zander ever enjoyed in his five years of herbology.
