Full Name: Ekarin LXVII (Ekarin the 67th - a.k.a. Ekky)

- Basic Appearance: Ekky is short for a house elf. He is scrawny, and stooped in his old age, with a large pot belly. In general, his appearance reminds one of Yoda, only older, more hunched, and with far bigger eyes. Said eyes are large and bulging. They are very bright, the whites clear and fresh and the pupils thick, dark and liquid-like, but the thin irises are the palest blue, barely distinguishable from the whites. His nose looks as though it was once long, but has been squashed back into is face, and is heavily wrinkled. The tip of his nose is curved downwards as if in deference to his masters. He has barely any teeth left, but grins his wide, gummy, toothless grin often. His smile is so big it has stretched the skin of his face, so that now,on the rare occasion that he is not smiling, the skin hangs down, loose and jowly. His face is really more wrinkle than skin, but his colouring is that of very milky coffee, like parchment faded in the sun.
Ekky's elbows, hands and feet are particularly bony, his elbows protruding a fair way. Other house elves used to threaten badly behaved children with a job from "Grampa" Ekky's elbows. However, he is still dexterous and strong, although not so much as he was in his youth. His back often gives him trouble now.

- Pets, if any: Ekky has always had an affinity with animals, although cats and owls give him the willies. He especially likes insects. Ten years ago, he adopted a small Rottweiler/NZ Huntaway-cross puppy that has since grown to be larger than him, yet is faithful and protective. Despite her age, Tip can sill be rather playful, much like her master, Ekky. Tip as a pup
- Area of Residence: Ekky used to work for a family of wizards in the far north of New Zealand. (They died out about 80 years ago due to their insistence on not tainting their pure-blood line.) He was treated well for his joker-like nature; he was the fool of the Strayde court. Therefore, he was very upset when his last master passed away, and has spent the many years since as a nomad, wandering from one place to the next, seeking out wide-open, isolated places. When he did come across people, he would do magic in their houses as they slept - cleaning the fire place, polishing their shoes, ironing their clothes and so on, and draw cheerful pictures on their noticeboards or in the margins of their books, doing what he could to brighten the lives of others in an attempt to fill the emptiness he still feels inside. He has known about Hogwarts NZ since it opened, but didn't feel he was ready to be part of a family again. Only recently has he begun to feel the need to be surrounded by others of his kind. He plans to approach the headmaster or headmistress and ask permission to serve the school.
I still don't have a solid idea of Ekky's personality, so any questions will be greatly appreciated. Cheers -Em.
