Draegan Lutrov had an interesting life, one can definitely say that. Ever since he hired those men to mug Kairyx to show her what a world could be like without proper guidance, he took her under his wing. By taking her under his wing, he led her to his house and allowed her to come and go as she pleased since his adopted daughter no longer resided there. The house seemed a little more open to the public, or those that knew where to find him could find him now. His caution attitude led him to somewhat be a bit more open. Areas of the house were open to Kairyx. He forgot what all he kept, whether it was a list of victims, people he did not like or other historical facts about his family. All of them were into the dark, but Draegan had something special upon his arm. A scar that would be recognized. His ink covered it for the most part, but every now and then, he thought about having it darkened to look like he was still actively serving when he was not. Draegan was once a Death Eater from a long time ago. After Lord Voldemort died, he retired and hid for years until the search to find him was called off.

Although, his mind lingered over the book he was reading right now. His thoughts rested upon that while he sat in his living room. Everything seemed to be pretty find right now. There was no telling what his future held, what was left of it. His lifestyle was dangerous. That was why he did not want any children to leave behind without a father figure to teach them all about his family. The Morozov were nothing, not like the Lutrovs. The Lutrovs would end with him, and he did not know if he was comfortable about that or not. He needed to find something to do that would further spread his line, what was left of it that is. Somehow, him having children did not register as an option since he did not believe that he could care for something as foreign as that. He sighed and he turned the page of his book, careful not to rip the pages with his little weapons that he wore on his fingers. They were useful when he needed something done, but he had not used them in so long. It was as if they were demanding some blood to be spilled. Yet, Draegan did not have the same craving, yet.

Draegan had somehow become like this annoying guardian of Kairyx's. Almost like a father figure, yet at the same time nothing like one. He often got in the way when it came to preventing Kairyx from doing something stupid, and he was good at giving her a direction towards the things she wanted, so in that sense, he was like a father figure to her. Other than that, he was nothing more than a man who seemed to have his watchful eye on Kairyx and occasionally ruin everything in her life. Like now for example. Kairyx had grown tired of wandering around trying to find a place to call home. She was away from her father and had grown to love Italy. Now she wanted to settle down, find a man, and become a mom. Maybe get a job too if she found one she liked enough to keep for more than a couple of months. The problem with settling down at the moment was the fact that Draegan did a good job at scaring every single man she managed to grow some type of an interest in away with his frightening demeanor. Although Kairyx tried to convince the men that Draegan was mostly harmless, they knew better and always left her hanging. It was putting such a damper on her plans for the future.

"Another one gone. Are you satisfied now?" Kairyx had come to know where Draegan lived, and from time to time she'd pop in on him to ask him for a favor or to yell at him for some stunt he pulled. Right now, she was here to do the latter of the two. He was doing this on purpose. He wanted to see how mad she would get. He knew she was really trying to find herself a man, and he always had an eye on her, so he knew half the things she was going to do before she even knew about them. So far, not a single man had slipped past his watchful eye and into Kairyx's arms. "I'm trying really hard to settle down and make something of my life and you keep ruining it! Quit scaring them away!" Kairyx wanted to throw something at the man, but since he intimidated her still, she resorted to glaring at his form instead. Chances were high that he was proud of what he had done. In fact, Kairyx could hardly remember a time where he wasn't proud of the weird ass things he did.

Draegan looked up as he heard Kairyx's voice saying that another one was gone, and if he was satisfied. He knew just what he had done, but he would rather act innocent. Black lips curled into a slight smirk as he casually murmured, "What do you mean, Kairyx? I am hardly satisfied with much nowadays." Draegan kept his eyes on his book, curious to which one he scared off this time. He did not even move out of his seat for that one, or was it the one from the other day? Well, Kairyx just needed to learn to protect herself against certain guys that would not be good enough. Then again, none of them were good enough in his eyes. Draegan had high expectations when it came down to Kairyx and her life. He was her guardian, and he knew what was best for her, and best for her life. He was right when it came down to this. He did get rid of her father when it came down to her life. Draegan would continue to scare away from all of the suitors that he felt were not right for Kairyx Barron and her innocent behavior. He would see to that, with all of his being.

Kairyx mentioned how she was trying really hard to settle down and how he was ruining it. And to stop scaring them away. Not even looking at her, he closed his book, his smirk remaining on his pasty, white face. Finally, his pale blue eyes looked up at her form, and slowly set his book down. "Those suitors just are not good enough. Either they were too ignorant or too hideous for someone like you. You deserve so much better than those other men." What he was saying was true to him. He did not move from his chair though. Kairyx would have to really perturb him enough to get him to move from his chair. Draegan had a lot planned for someone like Kairyx, but he did not know what he was going do about the one suitor that he would not mind though. There might be one that he could approve of. Draegan did hope that the day would never come. The dark priest raised an eyebrow, daring her to continue on with her little rant. He was pretty amused right now with what she was saying. She entertained him quite a bit.

Kairyx sighed. He was such a pain in the ass, and he freaking knew he was too! "Don't give me that crap, you know you're pleased with yourself." She could tell just the look on his face that he knew what he had done and he was happy that he had done it. Wasn't he the one that suggested that she settle down and do something good with her life now that her dad was gone? Well he said something along those lines and yet he refused to let her do it! Was he actually speaking in riddle the whole time? That was the only reason Kairyx could think of for his interference. Maybe by settle down he meant something different? When he explained why he kept why he kept messing things up for her, the blonde found herself practically seeing red. Was that really the reason? How did he think he was allowed to judge whether or not they were good suitors for her? Kairyx thought they were decent men and that should be enough for him, shouldn't it? Of course they might have had their flaws in there somewhere, but it wasn't like someone could be completely perfect.

"No one's perfect, Draegan. So maybe lower your expectations a little?" Kairyx walked across the room and went over to where Draegan was sitting. She stood in front of him and shook her head. He had taught her so much and she was trying to apply what she had learned in many situations, yet he still didn't seem to trust her to make her own decisions completely. Kairyx leaned down and placed her hands on either side of the chair, almost like she caging him in, and then learned down so she could whisper in his ear; "Why is it that you still don't trust me to make my own decisions?" After Kairyx said what she needed to say she pulled away and walked over to one of the love seats and laid down, her head instantly resting on one of the armrests. Honestly, Draegan could be a piece of work, and she was exhausted with trying to deal with him. Did he not care that she was trying to move on and make a better life for herself? Did he really think that someone entirely perfect out there existed? Of course they didn't, as long as they were human they would never be perfect.

Draegan heard her sigh, and then said that she knew that he was pleased with himself. Of course he was, he wouldn't deny that. But was he satisfied? No. Draegan looked down upon his book once more, and he mentioned, "I may be pleased but I am not satisfied. Those are two different things, my dear." He might as well educate her a bit on the two feelings. He didn't go into detail, but all he knew was that she needed to find someone that would treat her right and protect her. But so far, no one fit that category. That wasn't really his fault though. She just continued to look at idiots, which in turn made his job so much harder than it truly needed to be. When she said that he needed to lower his expectations, his eyes raised to her once more. Was she being serious? Of course, no one was perfect, but there is the thought that someone is perfect for another. That remained true. She must be going out of her mind if she really believed that he needed to lower his expectations. He would never, under any circumstances, lower his expectations.

"Didn't anyone tell you not to settle for less?" Draegan narrowed his light blue eyes slightly, as his blackened lips curled into a slight smirk. It was then when she seemed like she was caging him in, and then looked at him. He tensed up slightly, unknown to what she might do. It was hardly predictable, this woman. She asked why it was that he still didn't trust her to make her own decisions. Well, he did to some extent. Just not about the gender that she obviously knew nothing about. He rested his book to the side and used his fingers to rub his temples as she walked over to the love seat to rest her head on the armrest. "Kairyx, I don't trust a single soul out there. You making your own decisions would be just fine, but the suitors are just... You don't have enough experience with men to truly know their intentions. Besides, you don't have to have a husband to be happy. I don't have a wife and I'm perfectly content." He compared his insane life to hers, which was probably laughable. Draegan had everything holed up, from his past and how he continued on with his doings in secret.
