Hufflepuff Ai Edogawa was up for an adventure today. It wasn't really a big adventure as it only consists of her climbing up the cliffs as she had done many times before. It was where she would often go when she wants to do something tiring in the outside of the castle. The young girl didn't dare enter the Forbidden Forest again after her not-so-little encounter with Slytherin, Liam Nightray. She instead settled for climbing the cliffs and once in a while, paying respects to the girl who died by the rosebush. She frequently passed by there to admire the beauty of the flowers that grew there, and it was a worthwhile experience every time.

Today, Ai was free from classes and felt more refreshed than ever after spending time with Ravenclaw prefect, Ryuuji Tsukino, in the dungeons. The young girl had experienced quite a number of troubles already and she was glad that she had flushed it out of her system that day. And because of that, she considered herself to be in the right mind to go up the restricted place, although not so restricted as many others had been coming and going from the place. The young Hufflepuff climbed and climbed until she reached the top, not stopping for a moment to rest. Therefore, she had reached the top in a short amount of time before sitting on the ground, panting from the exhaustion as she took a drink from the water bottle she had brought along with her.

Raziel Kim wasn't an active person. He didn't like moving his body so much. He didn't like walking, nor did he like running. He didn't like physical activities. Though he loved observing the beauty of nature, he would rather stay on his room and read. He wasn't a fan of noisy places. He didn't like gathering the attention of random people. It wasn't that he found it annoying as it was quite hard to irritate him. He just didn't like it. Too much noise makes his head ache. He didn't like talking that much too. He would prefer to listen than waste his energy talking. That's why for the three years that he had been at Hogwarts, he hadn't gone out of the castle for far too long. So why was he here on the cliff? He didn't know.

Perhaps it was the wolf in him. Wolves are generally solitary creatures, but perhaps, it had been craving to go out and explore. He wasn't sure. It hadn't been that long since he turned into who he was now. He was trying not to let it bother him. He had been talking to Briar about his worries. He need not think about it. He was going to be fine.

The trip uphill tired him. The Ravenclaw wasn't that fit to climb the cliffs. He shouldn't have gone here. It was off-limits for students like him. He didn't like breaking the law. However, since he had been here already, he should just enjoy what's in front of him. Slowly, while catching his breath, he approached the edge of the cliff. It was dangerous. He was aware of that, but the urge to see what lies below the cliff was greater than his fear. Raziel removed his shoes and sat down at the edge of the cliffs. He wasn't comfortable sitting that way but he wanted to feel the wind brush against his feet. His fingers drummed against his kneecaps. His shoulder length blond hair, which he had forgotten to tie into a ponytail, was dancing with the wind, framing his pale face. The Ravenclaw closed his eyes. He was only a breath away from the danger below. However, that was far from his mind now.

He listened as the birds sang. It was different. Entirely different from the books that he read. Perhaps he should thank the wolf. If it hadn't brought him there, he wouldn't have experienced this precious moment. The sound of something moving behind him caught his attention. He leaned back a little, looking at the source of the sound. It was a girl. He recognized her as someone from his year. He hadn't really talked to her though. Not that it was surprising. He hadn't talked to anyone in ages. The Ravenclaw just stared. Perhaps the girl hadn't noticed him there. He had a rather low presence after all. There was something familiar about her though. He can't point what it was but he's quite curious.

Ai took a good look around her, and right there and then, she was glad she had decided to come to the cliffs. Sure, the place held some bad memories for the Hufflepuff, but the view to nature it offered seemed to cast all those away. Everything just seemed magical and wonderful. If the place weren't restricted, how Ai wished that she could stay there for a very, very long time. The young Hufflepuff wasn't into the outdoors that much but whenever she could see things like this, especially after a tiresome walk or a long journey, it seemed that everything was worth it.

As the girl had been appreciating the beauty of nature, she had a feeling that someone was watching her. It was still silent though, and no rustle could be heard beneath the concealed view of some greenery, but she still had that odd feeling of being watched. Deciding to trust her instincts, Ai stood up and decided to look around. And when she did, she had found a boy, which she knew was from her own year but from another house. For a few minutes, the Hufflepuff just stared, wondering if it was indeed the boy who was watching her only moments ago. "Uh, hi," were the only words she spoke in her bewildered state.

Raziel just stared and watched the other. He was not the type to strike a conversation nor was he the type to randomly approach someone. He preferred to be on his own and enjoy the stillness that the place offered. However, there really was something about this girl that caught his attention and that was already saying a lot. Raziel lived in a rather narrow world. He sees what he liked to see and hears what he liked to hear. That was why it was such a rare thing that this student managed to capture his attention. He leaned backwards and continued to observe the girl. He was not sure what it was that shouts familiarity about her. It was certainly not the fact that she was on his year and that he often sees her in class. If it was that, then he would have been interested in his roommates too which was certainly far from being true. He rarely, if ever, pays attention to his roommates or any of the random students that he'd pass by the hall. There really was something about her and being him, he would not be able to rest until he figured out what it was.

The Ravenclaw did not make any move to avert his gaze when the girl's attention turned to him. It had always been a quirk of his that his sisters had been trying so hard to change. They said it was rude to stare at someone. however, wasn't it more inappropriate to not look someone in the eye? When someone was hiding something, don't they tend to avert their gazes? Raziel was far from hiding anything, that is of course, if you would not count that secret of his. That was an exception though. Of course, it was not like he could just walk around and tell everyone of his condition.

Raziel did not try to say anything. He had never been good with these things. It was only with Conan that he dared to talk. Conan was the first person to have tried and approached him in the castle, thus, Conan would always be an exception. There was also another girl from his first year, but that would not count too. He only talked because it was necessary as she was blocking his view. The Ravenclaw narrowed his eyes before he nodded at the girl's direction. Should he try and do what he normally does not do? Slowly, he pulled his feet and stood. Now that he was no longer sitting down, the girl became even more familiar. He walked a few steps towards her, just so he would be able to see her features clearly but also just enough to avoid any unnecessary contact. He had never liked that after all. And it was then that it hit him. Unconsciously, he uttered his thoughts. His voice was soft that it could barely be heard, "Edogawa?"

Ai had never expected to be observed by somebody else her whole life. Certainly, she wasn't attractive or interesting to be stared at. Especially by a boy her age. And being a normal teenage girl, the Hufflepuff couldn't help but be embarrassed and blush just because of the unknown boy's stare. Ai couldn't help but be confused at the current situation and as to what was the reason for the boy's staring, but she was snapped out of her thoughts by the other person's voice. Soft but not impossible to hear. The girl was quite surprised by the name the boy uttered. It was her surname. Edogawa.

She thought that there were almost no one knew her, much more her name. But here was a boy in front of her. Whispering her surname and she could only absentmindedly nod. "Yes," she answered as she extended her right arm to introduce herself. "Ai Edogawa, Hufflepuff. Nice to meet you," she said, a smile showing on her Japanese features. Before she would bow like normal Japanese do when they introduce themselves, but during her time in Hogwarts, she grew more accustomed to the shaking of hands. But from that idea, her mind traveled to the thought of who was the boy in front of her and how he knew her name.
