So much had been happening that Sapphire's head was starting to spin. She met her twin brother, found out about her family, had her brother show up at school, met a boy she felt... something for, got in a fight with Diana, had her first kiss only to be immediately rejected, and had made the Quidditch team. Everything around her and about her seemed to be changing, and there was one person she needed to see.

With her luck, however, she doubted she would find him. She hadn't really seen Oliver since leaving his house after break last year. She had gone looking for him before, but she never seemed to be able to find the idiot. Today though, she wouldn't be distracted. She missed her best friend terribly and she needed to talk to him before she grew into someone she didn't recognize.

She rounded the corner into the Hufflepuff hall, determined and a bit too quick. She ran face first into someone and stumbled back a bit, holding her nose.

Unlike his first and second years, that year Nixon had less spare time than usual due to his extra curriculars. His role specifically with he school yearbook was what now took up most of his time outside of classes and his tasks with the school paper, as he was no longer an intern anymore but one of their official photographers. This meant that despite Nixon feeling sad when his last letter to his parents went unanswered, he could not dwell on the feeling because he soon had other, more important things to focus on.

That day Nixon walked out from the hufflepuff common room with a camera hanging from one of his shoulders, and the task of taking photos of the general interiors of the castle in case it was needed to make new layouts or title pages at the end of the year. Nixon rubbed one of his eyes as he began to head towards the staircases, wondering which part of the castle he would take photos of first. With his hand obscuring his view, he did not realize he was going to run into somebody until it was too late. Stumbling backwards at the impact, Nixon frowned and shook his head before noticing who exactly he had ran into. Sapphire, the girl he met at the yule ball the previous year. He would have changed his demeanor immediately to greet her with a smile if the sight of her holding her nose did not cause him to feel concerned. "Oh no, are you okay?" He asked, stepping forward slightly so he could help her if she needed it.

Sapph barely registered who she had run into- she was focused. "Hi Nixon, Bye Nixon," She murmured as she slipped past him, only to be stopped by the large crowd of students filling the hall. Her face went a little pale as her eyes quickly scanned the crowd. She cursed a little under her breath when she spotted the blond on the other side of the crowd, about to round the corner. "Wait, no, Ollie!" She tried yelling, but he didn't turn.

Sapph tried to look for a way through the crowd, but there wasn't a way to get through it in time. "'scuse me, no, wait, Ol..." She let out a defeated sigh as the crowd unintentionally kept her back. She fell back next to Nixon, frustrated and defeated. Cussing, she punched the stone wall next to her before turning back to her other friend, rubbing her now bleeding hand with the other.

"Sorry," She muttered. "Never figured it would be so hard to catch a Hufflepuff," She joked.

Benjamin found himself walking the Fourth Floor in search of something fun to do. The Gryffindor Common Room was boring these days as his siblings were all off doing their own thing so he was left to his own devices which was always a bad thing. The corridor was getting busier as it was getting closer to lunch time and he sighed and stuck his hands in his jeans as he slowly made his way down the corridor. He jumped back a little when two students in front of him collided around the corner. To his surprise he saw the Slytherin girl that showed him the glitterbombs last year and an older Hufflpeuff boy that he didn't know. She rushed past him and started calling out someone else's name. Benajmin was very confused at what he had just witnessed and shot a puzzled look at the older Hufflepuff boy. "Sapphire?" he called out to her as she gave up on chasing her invisible friend "are you okay?" he asked the girl.

The last thing Nixon expected was an outburst, but after Sapphire both greeted and bid him adieu in the same sentence that was exactly what he witnessed. He was stunned, and did not know how to react at all as the girl punched the wall or even when someone else approached them. His day thus far had been calm other than him momentarily angsting over another letter to his family being ignored, and the turn it took in the space of a few minutes was jarring to him. When he got over another round of shock at what was happening around him, he looked between the boy that had approached them, and Sapphire. Still unsure of how to react, he decided to make light of the situation since she had already been asked twice if she was alright and it would be pointless for him to ask the same question again. "Well, you've now caught a different Hufflepuff and a Gryffindor. Seems like a good catch to me anyway." He joked, gesturing to the other boy and trying to force a smile as he looked to Sapphire, hoping a light and optimistic approach was the right way to handle what was happening, since he was clueless to what else he was supposed to do.

So far second year was a slow burner for Sage as not much exciting jad happened in the first few days of the term. The Hufflepuff was however determined to make some things happen for herself and the first way to do that was to branch out of her limited social circle which so far only consisted of fellow Wild patch members. After spending the morning unpacking Safe decided she wanted to wonder around a little to make the most of her free time before classes started. She didn't get far before finding a commotion on her own doorstep. She recognised Benji but that was it. "Benji whats going on?" She asked the boy.

Sapphire almost laughed. "Make that two Hufflepuffs and a Gryffindor." She told Nixon with a sly grin. What could she say, she was easily distracted. She looked to the newest addition, a girl she vaguely recognized from class. "I came here looking for a Hufflepuff, and I found one." Sapphire held out her good hand. "Sapphire Michaels."

She turned then and looked at the boys. "I haven't seen either of you since last year. How're you two doing?" She asked conversationally, reaching into her bag for a small roll of gauze. She began idly wrapping the hand that had hit the wall as she waited for an answer.
