Willow shuffled on the rocky cliff - being a musician, she enjoyed the different type of sounds that everyday brings.
Today, she enjoyed the sound of crunching stones beneath her feet with it's crisp and almost pleasant feeling that came with it.
She danced a bit on the rocks just so she can continue to hear the small stones click together and making an impromptu tune.
Willow smiled for what seemed like the first time since forever, since the Stefan, Kate and Sara sagas and the jealousy and annoyance that came along with it. Today was going to be a good day and tomorrow would be better - it was the Yule Ball.
Of course, Students were asking each other out to gain Yule Ball partners, She was half expecting Stefan and Kate to go along together but in somewhat of an awkward distance. Sara would find someone, Willow was sure of it - she was gorgeous enough as it was and any guy would want to ask her out for sure. As for Willow, she didn't really care - as long as she spent the majority of her time with friends rather than awkwardly eating her heart out at the snack table like she did last year.

But this year was going to change, Chris was going to come along for once and finally, the two best friends can actually spend a night together - as friends...ish. Willow breathed in the mixed scented air, she smelt the faint scents of the Hogwarts Garden and the subtle salty-smell of the Lake and the crisp smell of the evergreens in the Hogwarts Forest. Deep deep down, Willow had a crush on Christopher, although she didn't like to admit it. She was sure it was something to do about how they grew up together in the same area, going to the same muggle schools and miraculously being in the same muggle classes. And here they were as second years in the same Hogwarts school, in the same Hogwarts House and somehow they've spent less time together than they usually did before the Hogwarts Era. She crunched the stones underneath her feet again, feeling the pink tint rush to her cheeks, she liked Chris. But she was too afraid to tell him in case he didn't have the same feelings. Hell, she was only twelve. Maybe it was just a growing up thing but Willow didn't want to risk loosing her best friend to some puppy-love crush.

She sighed and gazed out at Hogwarts Castle, the scenery forever amazed and impressed Willow. Even though they were still in the same Country and even though she has been out near Wellington almost every single Family Gathering when there was one, She never knew a country or let alone an area that seemed both remote and gorgeous and still close to the hustle and bustle of muggle life. Her head spun around; Chris, Yule Ball, Chris, Yule Ball, Chris, Yule Ball. Although her Yule Ball attire consisted mainly of Blue and others would find it somewhat depressing, Willow felt like a Princess and was secretly hoping she could find the Prince she's been longing for ever since the start of the Hogwarts Year.

Christopher's mind did not work to this pace.

Sitting in the library, Chris was studying Transfiguration. Books did not help the second year Gryffindor in his efforts, instead sending him into something near to a panic attack. Words and letters jumbled themselves; it was like they were teasing him. "Look Chris, we can do the salsa."

Words made Christopher Wright angry. He did not see the point in study, if he could not learn anything in the tradtional way. He would normally ask Willow for help, but she had her own problems which were much worse than his own. Closing 'Basic Transfiguration' with a dusty bang, Chris ignored the librarian's glare and snatched up his things. A march out of the hushed library brought the boy to a corridor, some stairs, all that he recognised from his nightly haunting of Hogwarts New Zealand. Chris had no friends other than Willow, and she had made her own new friends anyway. He was alone, but he had worked out the locations of so many secret passages and hideaways that he'd kept himself busy.

Mute and biting the inside of his cheek to keep from falling into more nerves, Chris focussed on the path ahead. Dodging some first years who called out "Watch it!", to pushing open the huge wooden doors of the Entrance Hall, Chris was finally outside where he could breathe. Yet, everyone was still able to watch him. With a blank as possible expression he changed direction, past the Forbidden Forest and to the Cliffs. Since his arrival at Hogwarts the Gryffindor had loved isolation, having the space to make it happen. He did not write to his family, but Chris instead took time to think of them. He knew they would be thinking of him at the same time, so it was a win-win situation really. Steps crunching, Chris' jandalled feet knew he had arrived at the top of the Cliffs. It was quite nice really, with the December sun poking out it's nose and Willow standing right there... Willow? Chris thought again about their non-communication and infrequent meetings before speaking for the first time in four days.
"Hi Willow."

Willow hummed and enjoyed the simple warmth of the sun and the beams dancing on her pale complexion.
She wore a vintage creamy yellow dress, complete with a lace overlay and a blue satin belt that was tied into a massive bow behind her back. Although fashion didn't faze the twelve year old she was becoming more aware of it than she did the previous year, she knew everyone had their styles and their own unique look - to Willow, she enjoyed floaty dresses and anything that had bows, her fashion sense was quite simple really - a nice looking dress, simple shoes and a cute hair accessory. While the modern-age girl at her age will be following the latest fashion trend which was something along the lines of skinny jeans and a top of some sort, Willow never felt the pressure to be like them. In fact, Willow didn't feel like she was in the modernist's fashion world in the first place. Vintage, Simple and Colorful was Willow's way to go. Sure, she got looks for wearing a thick woolly cardigan in the summertime and a bright blue dress in the winter but Willow didn't conform to Peer Pressure. She was herself - something that her Aunt would endorse proudly.

The voice behind her gave a small tingle down her spine, it was Chris - she'd knew his voice from anywhere.
She turned around and grinned; "So you finally show your face huh?" her grin was like all the other grins she gave him, overly happy, and cheesy. But it was how she usually greeted her best friend, it was odd just bumping into him, usually they would have organized something to do something but nope, today was just one of those normal days. She bounced towards him and gave him a hug, out of all the years she knew him, he was still the same quiet, shy and reserved boy that she knew (and loved...). It wasn't his fault for being that way, it was just who he was and she accepted that - she couldn't stand people who tried to change peoples personalities, it seemed wrong. But Chris, he was still the same as ever and yet, now he was just that little bit more special, that made Willow's heart beat a little faster and felt more than just a little bit closer. To the twelve year old, she wasn't sure why she was feeling this way, but she knew she wanted to be with Chris.
