Yellow Blooms and a Puff Make the Room Brighter

The prospect of meeting new faces and having conversations of people she only talked to during this event was the sole reason of Alexis signing up for flower delivery for the third time. She also received her own share of flowers and sent her friends as well. Yet, to witness happiness (or annoyance, at times) on her classmates and other students' faces was far more enjoyable for her.

With only two roses left, Alexis lost the basket. She was hoping to catch both students whose roses were assigned to her. Looking around, she found Emilia Manning in one of the desks near the librarian in charge. Waving hello to Irene Meredith, the third year made her way to the Hufflepuff. Sitting across the girl, she smiled,"Hey Emilia.", she added in a soft voice.

While Emilia was quite excited for the dance tonight, the day of rose deliveries was making her a little anxious. She had sent two, one to her cousin and one to her friend Derek. The one she sent to Derek was the one bringing her anxiety, as she had a small crush on the boy and was second guessing her decision to send him a rose at all. She was trying to focus on her studies now, though it was hard to focus on the reading for Charms. A girl sat down on across from her, and Emilia looked up nervously. She was older, and really pretty. She was surprised when the girl addressed her by name. "Um. Hello?" She asked quietly, putting down her quill. She wasn't sure why this girl had approached her.
