Y50 Sorting Reactions!

Sorting for Y50 (!) is still a couple of days away, but that doesn't mean we can't have some exciting sorting chats here! It's never too early, right? As always, we love to hear your thoughts and reactions as we work through the process of sorting and transfers and exchanges! This is always such a fun time! :party:

Are you having a character sorted or transferred this year? Maybe more than one? Ten? (You know who you are. :r)
Are you going to try for an exchange student?
Where do you think your character will end up?

Do you think they'll be happy about where they end up? How is it going to impact their first year or their entire schooling? Do you think the sorting hat will have a difficult time placing them? Any character expecting that the sorting hat won't be able to place them and they'll have to go home? :p

If you've already been sorted: Did you get what you/your character expected? Did the sorting hat say something funny to you? What'd you think of that? How nervous was your character to be sorted? How nervous were you?

Alright I must confess!! I wasn't supposed to sort this IC but likeee I am and I am feeling Ravenclaw vibes with this one 👀 there's slight puff and slytherin tendencies but i'm pretty confident on the claw! We'll see how I feel after doing sorting form and all but hoping for a Ravenclaww :party:
 
Wooo! The last IC year was rough for me but I'm ready to start fresh and have a character I'm keen to sort so new year new me :lol:

I've got Laura here, she's Aine's niece and while she's not quite as opinionated I think there's a stubbornness that runs in the family :r I thought she might follow her on to Hufflepuff but Laura would hate that. Richmond colours? No thanks! (She's from Melbourne, footy is a Big Deal.)

She'll probably want to follow Alfred into wherever he's sorted but I'm feeling a toss up between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. I'm thinking her sporty tendencies, loyalty and stubbornness might tip her towards Gryffindor but there's more than a few Hufflepuff traits too. I don't really see Slytherin or Ravenclaw (as much as she'd like the blue) but you never know.
 
Weeee sorting!! It's been so fun watching all the new kids pop up!

This year I'm sorting Ulric Vale, who's Osiris and Astraea's little brother. He's an odd, shy, and socially awkward kid, and grew up tormented by his older siblings so he's a bit skeptical of people. He's quite smart and a bit obsessive, and possessive, at times. His main interests are plants specifically carnivorous and poisonous ones. He's also a bit of a push over but not above some swift revenge.

He wants more than anything NOT to be sorted into Slytherin. He would like to be as far away from his brother as possible. But I can see him ending up there or Ravenclaw. which would be ideal for him lol.
 
my goodness! sorting time already!! i’m sorting one character this year and it’s this guy right here! oliver is theodore’s younger brother and he’s very excited for his turn at hogwarts.

ollie is musically-inclined like theodore and has a massive passion for sports, especially quidditch. he’s extroverted, loves to make friends and can be quite loud. he’s soft-headed, so not the smartest out of the bunch. i can see him either being a gryff or a hufflepuff! well see how we go hehe!

excited to see our new firsties! 🤩
 
So excited for sorting, as always!! I might have fallen off the wagon this past year but I'm keen to get back on with a fresh, new character - Natsuko! Honestly I'm hoping for Hufflepuff because I keep getting Gryffindor girls but I might be let down by that. We'll see! She is probably somewhere between a Gryffindor and Hufflepuff to be fair.

Anyway, she's a muggleborn who's always been obsessed with witches and is very excited that yes, she actually is one. Expect an overly enthusiastic, attention-loving (but not necessarily seeking) girl who is just, well, happy to be involved and included.

(Said I wouldn't sort one this time round but come on, it's going to be Y50, what am I supposed to do?)
 
Due to my personal schedule, I will likely not end up sorting anyone this year.

I do look forward to where Ulric Vale will be. Or rather, Ozzy looks forward to it. :r
 
wow we are at sorting already. and Fi is old enough. how did that happen?
I have a feeling she is going to end up following her mum unto hufflepuff.
i wouldnt be supprised if she swings ravenclaw like her cousins but i would be more supprised if she follows her dad or other couin into gryffindor.

Y50 is WILD. Also my first big number on site, as I sorted Amber in Y26 and missed Y25 by just a hair, lol.

AJ is an exciting sort for me, he's part of a bigger plot (some of you may recall this PD by Maria a while ago) and it's the first time (I think) where I'm part of a huge family with a bunch of different RPers. I am honored to be the first sorted, lol. I already love the family dynamics we have settled on. They're going to be a lot of fun.

AJ is a confident bossy kid. He's used to being the leader of his siblings, and might bump heads with anyone who wants to tell him what to do. He is also kind and loves to take care of people as well, so it'd be a fun balance. He'd be the kind of guy who jumps in when someone gets bullied. He's determined to be in Gryffindor, and I do think it suits him. But we'll see what the hat says. Other houses could be fun too, honestly.
 
[pokes my head out of the dirt] I am hoping to use this year as a lil activity reset and really looking forward to posting with Amanita! She's Angel and Josephine's daughter so she already has strong strong ties to the school and well, obviously, to Slytherin.

She's ambitious enough for it (and bossy) that I don't see her being easily disappointed in that regard, but she's also a a decent leader and quite headstrong with a really solid sense of responsibility which honestly I could see leading her into Gryff or even Puff which could keep things interesting...

Kate I can see ending up in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff easily - she’s got that competitive, adventurous spirit haha. And she’s also quite sociable, despite struggling to make deep connections

Auden Sheldrake - okay for REAL this time, I will be very surprised if he’s not a Slytherin =)) he is utterly out for himself, cunning, and two-faced. Will act like your friend, then stab you in the back to make himself feel better

But I quite often get hit by last-minute-muse so may sort another if my brain demands it haha

I'm just sorting the one this year (not to make the same mistake as last year and sort 4..)
Luke is the youngest brother of Susie and Freddie, and he has spent the last year or so terrified that he wouldn't make it to Hogwarts and he'd end up being a squib :cry: He very much looks up to both siblings, although he would say that he aspires to be like Freddie. He has a little (elderly) hamster called Butters that he will also be bringing with him, although we'll see how long he lasts :r
If Luke ended up in Hufflepuff, he wouldn't mind because he'd be with Susie. If he was in Ravenclaw, he'd love it because he would feel like YEAH he's like his cool big brother. I do see a few Slytherin tendencies in him however, because he can be quite resourceful and his outward demeanor can be a bit mean. He's the sort of kid who will look at Freddie's current behavior and go yes that's exactly what I should be doing too, and kick another student just because :r I do hope he'll grow out of that though, because he doesn't really mean it, he just wants to give off a similar protective stance like Freddie =))
I will say he really doesn't want Gryffindor. From what he's heard, people in Gryffindor are big headed and he's both not like that, and he doesn't want his siblings to disown him either :pop:

I’m hoping Alfred ends up in Gryffindor, but either way I’m sooo excited and a bit nervous to get my VERY first character sorted. :D He’s been rejected and abandoned, always wanting connection but pushing it away when it gets too close. Still trying (as we all) to figure out who he is and how not to screw it up. Not doing great at that, but what might actually change things is Laura, who is actually able to cut through those voices in his head and make him believe he could be more than what his parents left him to be.

I absolutely can’t wait to see where things go with him and Alfred’s kinda looking forward to meeting other first years (not that he’d ever say it out loud:D), and maaaayyybe even patch things up with a couple he’s already run into (looking at you Eris), haha.

My guess is Laura and Eris will both end up in Gryffindor too, and if Auden’s not Slytherin I’ll be very surprised, haha. Kinda makes me think I should start stalking other first years to see where they might land.
 
Calliope Lockwood- Ava's baby baby sister, Kyons little sister, spoiled and she knows it, and while she doesn't no the meaning of the word 'no' she still tries to be nice. Its a fine line and it doesn't always work. Sensing some snakey vibes.

And Aurora Hume- she is stuck in Wonderland, her middle name is Alice and she prefers to go by it. She wants to be Alice, she is absolutely obsessed with Alice in wonderland, photography, she is whimsical and unashamed and she is fiercely protective of her family. I'm sensing Gryffindor or Ravenclaw

Don't attack me for this but she isn't really just ‘fit’ to be one, she's a perfectionist, a bit arrogant and stubborn, don't ask why I made her that way, she was literally just a random idea I had after making my first, she's smart, hard-working, brave and won't hesitate to put down for a fight, verbal or physical.

She doesn't deserve to be in there—literally.

Not an attack, but I dunno, stubborn, hard-working, and standing up for your friends are pretty puff traits, just sayin :r
 
It's been awhile!

Am just sorting this one. When I first made her, I had strong Slytherin vibes, but the more I write her (in the three replies I've done xD ) the more I think Hufflepuff. I reckon Slytherin and Hufflepuff have very similar vibes haha!
 
Okayyyy form and rp done!!! Idk I'm a bit confused because I could see it going any way and I am thrown off by others thinking she could be a Gryffindor, but I am still feeling a lot of Ravenclaw vibes idk... Waiting excitedly to see!!

Phew! I feel like I always take forever to get the app and post done. But I do feel like Slytherin and Ravenclaw are the most likely. I did see some Puff peak through in some places but I think the other traits are stronger. I also don't really need a 4th Puff in rotation right now haha
 
I agree Hufflepuff and Slytherin have a lot of overlap xD I could see Luke being in any of these houses now, however I'm realising Hufflepuff would also break my no-puff streak for the last 7 IC years, and Slytherin would break my no-snake boy streak of 6 OOC years =))
 
It took me soo long to get my thoughts together on actually writing down Amanita's personality lol. But form is done and she actually went a lot more Gryff than expected in places. I think it's gonna be close between Gryff and Slyth with still some Puff possibility so I'm curious to see 👀

(though I don't think I've had a Slyth girl since.. Nicole?
Edit: I forgot Brooke, sorry girl. Still been a hot minute)

Still thinking Natsuko will be Hufflepuff or Gryffindor, but she did have a slight Slytherin vibe to her when I was filling the form out that I didn't expect, and one she probably isn't necessarily aware of. We'll see though!
 
Alright I cannot lie I saw it coming when i filled the form, I felt the snake slithering!!!! Eris is upset with hatty for putting her in the dungeons but also glad its a house with her sister in there already! She'll spend most of her time out the dungeons though... Sorry not sorry!
 
Yeah, Eris and Alfred need to figure out the whole archery situation, no time to spend indoors.
 
Luke is glad for Slytherin though I think it will be very interesting for his development. The no puff streak continues but im very glad to have my Slytherin boy xD it ill be fun to see him find his own way away from his siblings too (and thankfully not in Gryffindor)
