Celestine had been kept busy last year with a chorus role, but she was focusing more on her schoolwork now as she needed to have good grades and a better mastery of Charms for the stage. It meant she could give more of her attention to Quidditch while she was at it, which was a nice benefit. She was glad Tullia was going to be helping out as co-captain now that Kirby had graduated. Quite a few of them had graduated, actually, which meant there were a few spots on the team to fill. Celestine hoped the two of them could do it.

"Bonjour, mes amies!" Celestine greeted with a wave, as the other teammates and hopefuls made their way to the pitch. "My name is Celestine, this is Tullia, and we are your captains this year. Please, if you are already on the team, stay and help with the try outs. If you were an alternate or you are new, please tell us your name and what position you would like to play. Bonne chance!" Celestine waited on the ground rather than practicing as beater for the moment, and mostly took to watching rather than playing so she could get a better idea of how everyone was playing.

OOCOut of Character:
Hello! You know the drill, returning players please post in the tryouts to keep your spot. Returning alternates and new players, please post giving your name and desired position and RP trying out. Any first years (for whatever reason) please PM to ask permission first. Any other questions, please also feel free to PM myself and/or @Tullia Whitlock . Good luck!

Juneau arrived for tryouts and happily supported the chasers trying out for open positions. She hoped Celestine and Tullia picked the players who played well as a team, and not just the ones who scored the most times.

Elsie was ready for another year of Quidditch, and she felt more prepared this time around. She listened to what the captains had to say before flying up in the air and hovering in front of the goals. Elsie managed to stop a few goals and practised as much as she could, cheering on for those who were trying out for the chaser postions.

Tullia hadn't really expect the captaincy, she had figured no one on the team liked her enough to want her in such a role, but she was. She glanced at the other leader and nodded. "I've nothing more to add, so lets get to it," Tullia said before she hopped on her broom and shot up into the air.

Veronique had been around quidditch for as long as she remembered. She lived and breathed quidditch. It was a huge part of her life. Her parents had met each other whilst playing professional quidditch, so it was difficult to imagine her life without the sport. And there was no way she wasn't trying out for the team now that she was old enough. "Veronique Dumont, trying out for seeker." She nodded at the captains before heading up into the air. She ignored most of what happened around her, although always keeping an eye out for bludgers, as she flew across the pitch. Her sole focus was the snitch. It was an annoying little thing, but she had been practicing and she knew she should be able to catch it at least once during these try outs. It didn't take her long to spot it, but she somehow still managed to lose sight of it after chasing it for a while. When her eye caught it again she made sure to speed up. Focus. She wasn't going to let it get away this time. Veronique chased the switch, dodging a rogue bludger and one of the other players before wrapping her fingers around it. Gotcha.

Colette had decided on the very last second to try out for the schools team. Her brothers had both played so it would have really made no sense if she decided to never try out. Walking up to where the team was gathered she listened what one of the captains said before going up to tell her name and what position she wanted. "Colette Martin, I'd like to try out for chaser." She told both of the captains confidently before getting onto her broom and shooting up.

Looking for a quaffle to either steal or just take possession of she spotted one and went for it. Taking the quaffle she made for the hoops, determined to show that she could make a goal even if she'd only ever done this on solid ground. Couldn't be that hard, right? Well it was a little harder than she thought as her first shot was easily blocked. Huffing the third year snatched the quaffle back up and went on a little trip around some other players with it before going for the left hoop but at the very last second throwing it at the middle one. Smiling proudly as the quaffle sailed through it Colette glanced around her, hoping the captains had seen it. Letting another chaser take possession this time she flew alongside them in case they needed support or just wanted to pass it. By the end of it she had made another two pretty clean goals and another miss, feeling pretty proud of herself she just hoped they'd take her into the team.

After a few years of practicing on his own, Beau felt he was ready to try out for the Quidditch team and just managed to make it to try outs on time. "Beau Pratt, trying out for Chaser," he told the two captains. He watched the others for a while before it was finally his turn and mounted his broom. He waited until the Keeper took position at the goal posts before he kicked off hard from the ground and flew up to steal possession of the quaffle from one of the other chasers.

Beau tucked the ball under his arm firmly and flew towards the hoops, smirking when it went sailing through the right hoop. He caught the ball as it was thrown back out and did a loop around the pitch before trying again. This time the Keeper was ready for him and easily blocked him which only fueled his desire to score again. He needed to prove that his first shot wasn't just beginners luck. Beau held back and allowed the quaffle back into play with another chaser before eventually swooping in to steal possession once more. He cheered as his third attempt went in, and played long enough to score one more goal before his final attempt was blocked by the Keeper which even he had to admit was a good catch. Afterward he touched down on the Pitch hoping three out of five goals was good enough to make the team.
