It was with some shame that Nadine remembered her mood last year, as she had stood here with Orélie. She had been so upset to share the spotlight of being captain with someone else that she had almost forgotten that they were friends. It had caused a huge rift between them, one that was thankfully healing again. Their legendary victory over Hogwarts had brought them back together, and she was determined to repeat their performance this year. It was their final year, and Nadine's main objective this year was to get another amazing win for Beauxbatons. It had been a close call last year, with Orélie herself playing seeker for a bit as both their seekers had been knocked out. This year, Nadine intended to erase any doubt about which was the better team. She stood next to her friend, smiling at the returning players. Only one of them had graduated, though next year the team would be a lot emptier. "Welcome." She said brightly. "I'm very happy to see all of you. Returning players, please fly around and assist the people trying out. For those who try out, please tell us your name and what position you want to play before showing us what you can do! Don't hold back, we want our team to be the best it can be." She said, turning her attention to her co-captain. "Orélie, do you have anything to add?" She asked her friend.

OOC: Returning players are guaranteed their spots as long as they post attendance in this thread before tryouts are over. Returning alternates must try out again.

First years must PM us if they want to try out. No first years will be allowed to try out unless there are not enough older students.

Bijoux didn't even want to think about Quidditch last year. The sooner she could banish it from her memory, the better. It had taken a bit of cajoling from her friends to return to the team, something Bijoux felt even more guilty about, having encouraged most of them to join the team herself. She was back though, to at least finish out her time at school, and after listening to Nadine and Orélie she took to the sky, setting up in front of the hoops to help anyone trying out for Chaser.

Atala was beyond excited to be trying out for the Quidditch team. She'd been sick last year and hadn't made it to tryouts, but this year, she was determined to help her fellows students beat everyone! She ran down to the pitch as fast as she could, which was pretty fast because she was wiry and she wanted to hit all the bludgers at all the people! Neither of her parents had played Quidditch in school, but she was more athletic than they were, so she wasn't surprised by that at all. "Atala Lesley, trying out for Beater" She waited for the other hopefuls to do their piece. Soon after, everything was set and Atala now awaited instructions. As soon as they were given, she mounted her broom and took a lap around the pitch, not that hard. That can't have been the tryout surely. The next task was to protect her teammates from flying bludgers. Atala lifted the bat with her hand and smirked. Now this, this she could do.

Atala soared through the air, but was unable to see any of the bludgers bothering any of her teammates. She was happy that they couldn't be hurt, but she was rather disappointed that she couldnt showcase her skills. She began to wonder if this position was even worth it when she suddenly saw a bludger going after one of the Chaser. The red head's eyes widened and she quickly flew towards it, effectively smashing the bludger out of the way. It wasn't a terribly hard hit, but it did the job, which she hoped was all that was needed. She knew there were other people going for Beater, but she hoped she stood a chance, she was very dedicated and hard working, so for her, being Beater was something she would love. She didn't want to be an alternate, but if she had to be, then she would and would just try out again next year. Atala continued to bash away at Bludgers as she saw them, and soon it was time to finish. Time had seemingly flown and Atala was a little nervous about it. She landed as soon as she could and hung around watching the last of the tryouts before leaving. The results would be posted soon. Until then, the red head would have her fingers crossed.

After last year's outburst at the final match of the inter-school tournament, Mualla came to the conclusion that she should dial it back a little. She was competitive, and while that wasn't a bad thing, at least she thought it wasn't, she shouldn't have talked back to Orélie the was she had done. Promising herself that she would be more level-headed this year, she joined the others on the pitch and greeted them enthusiastically. After listening to their captains, she took off to the skies to help the ones trying out for the vacant Beater position. It would be odd not having Grace around anymore, thinking that it wouldn't be the same without her on the team, but hopefully whoever would take her spot was just as good if not better than her.

Simone was a little apprehensive as she found her way to the quidditch pitch for try outs. It was her last year at Beauxs and she hoped that whatever peace Orelie and Nadine had come to would hold out for the rest of the season. She could not deal with another year of them fighting constantly. But she took a deep breath as she looked at the other students trying out. Hopefully they'd have another good season and they could crush Hogwarts New Zealand one more time before she graduated. Simone gave an exaggerated salute to the captains before kicking off and grabbing the quaffle as she did. She tried her best to pass it but it was hard when the two other chaser's were busy watching tryouts. "Come on Bi!" she shouted when Bijoux managed to block one of her better timed shots. She sounded whinny but was grinning. Before then end of tryouts she managed to make a few goals but her friend was very good and it was annoying. As she landed Simone was surprised that after being coerced into joining the team in the first place, she was a little sad to see her time one the team would soon end.

There was no doubt that last year had been a rough year for both Orélie and the team, but they'd all managed to come out on top and she hoped were stronger for it. They were international champions now and Orélie didn't intend to leave the school without keeping that title. She smiled fondly as Nadine got the try-outs rolling, grateful she and her had found their working rhythm after last year's disastrous start. "We're a champion team now, so don't expect things to be easy if you make the team," She said, but her smile conveyed more pride than sternness. "Teamwork's important here, so while we want to see your flying skills, don't forget to show off how you fit in this team," She said, nodding to the returning players, happy to see them on the pitch.

Once the balls were released, Orélie flew around the pitch, passing the quaffle back and forth to keep warmed up, but her eyes were mostly on their new potential players. The team would need some solid new blood for next year, with the entire BONSquad leaving, which Orélie could hardly believe. There were definitely a few promising hopefuls on the pitch though, and Orélie idly passed the quaffle again as her eyes followed them until try-outs ended.

Jacob just transferred from Hogwarts New Zealand to attend Beauxbatons. His father had recieved a job offer in France which was a offer he couldn't refuse. It was weird leaving behind New Zealand and starting a new adventure in France, but he didn't want to leave his parents either. He was going to graduate in France and he was going to make the year matter. He played Quidditch for the Ravenclaw team for a year or two and decided to apply for the Beauxbatons team to help them out slay his old school. Jacob grinned and walked up to the Quidditch pitch. He had studied French over the break and it was getting better by the minute, but he still had his Aussie accent.

Jacob smiled and walked over to the sign up form
. ''Jacob Finley going for beater' Jacob twirled the bat in his hand and when it was time for him to fly he wacked some bludgers here and there. He flew close to the seeker once he spotted a bludger coming towards her. With a big wack he swatted the bludger away and smiled. This was going to be marvelous year. He spotted another bludger which he also gave a good wack and it went away. For a good measure he floated mid pitch to spot who needed his protection the most. Last game had been bad for Beauxbatons they had won, but most of the crew had been in the Hospital wing. Now he was on the other side of the game. When the try out ended he pointed his broom towards the ground and dismounted. He thanked the captains and smiled broadly. Jacob still had a long way of learning French ahead of him.

Sophia, being the loving quidditch commentator that she is, decided to attend today's tryouts to see what the team had going for them this year. After last year's win, Sophia expected them to be on top and have the best players trying out for the team. It would be an insult to them if the best of the best weren't trying out for the team. They were championships, they deserve the best! Anyways, Sophia came around to the pitch with her signature microphone in hand. She stopped right at Mualla, the girl she's secretly fond of but haven't had the guts to tell her in fear of losing her as a friend. "Mualla! What do you guys having working here?" Sophia would ask. It wasn't much she soon find out, and Sophia couldn't comprehend the lack of interests in the team! It was maddening to the sixth year!

"Okay, I'm trying out for seeker, excuse me! Don't mind me," Sophia knew they had a seeker, but was she reliable one? Was she very skilled? These are questions that a championship team shouldn't be asking, so, off she went on a school broomstick. Sophia clutch the handle soaring through the skies, effortlessly. The teen could fly, flying was in her blood. Quidditch was in her family. She just loves being a commentator more, however, here she was taking a whack at playing seeker. The brunette furrows brows, looking out for any hint of a golden little snitch. She's, typically loud and rowdy, was quiet to listen to the wheezing in the air. It took a while and a lot of stopping and listening until she caught sight of the snitch flying near one of the hoops. Sophia dashed away, held her hand out to capture between her fingers. She eventually did, after some flying around. Sophia caught the snitch, grinning ear to ear.

Hugo had really wanted to be on the Quidditch team from the moment he'd heard his cousin talk about it. He grinned and waved at Nadine as he waited for his turn, but she was too busy being the serious captain to really pay attention to him. He waited impatiently, and when he could go he stepped forward. "I'm Hugo De Rosier, and I'm going for seeker." He said with a grin. He then got on his broom and kicked off into the air. He started flying laps around the pitch, keeping his eye out for the snitch. He had to dodge out of the way of a bludger, which startled him a bit. "Whoa, hey." He muttered, flying a bit more to the side. He glanced around again, still not seeing a sign of the snitch. He hoped that he would find it before tryouts were over, he had to prove himself a bit. He weaved through the other players, looking around with increasingly more anxiety. But then, there! He spotted it out of the corner of his eye, turning around in the air to go after it. It took him a while to catch it, but when he did he held it up in the air proudly. "YES!" He called, hoping that Nadine and her friend had been paying attention.

In about 24 hours, Beauxbatons tryouts will close! Please try out if you want to!
